Making the reservation was very easy. It's a family owned business father, mother and daughter. They are all bilingual and communication was easy. The space is modest but clean and comfortable. The location is right across the street from Condado, Vanderbilt, and very safe. The massages were very high quality and with excellent communication. My wife and daughter were very comfortable and impressed. I definitely like that they paid attention to the questionnaire that we filled out before arriving and extra attention was spent on the spots indicated. I was able to book online and got quick confirmation and proactive communication about the appointment/cancellation times. While visiting the island for a quick getaway, I bookmarked this place before I left NY. I figured warm weather in the middle of January along with the sun and fun, I'd get a long over due massage. I stopped by on Tuesday, January 17th 2023. The address is listed as 1022 Ashford Avenue. The more precise location is actually towards the back of the building that sits on the avenue. We passed it by many times before figuring out that the entrance is in the middle of the block, not on the avenue itself. You walk down a few steps and into a foyer. A woman named Shanti, the owner greeted me. She was pleasant and took my number to call me about an appointment. She was in the middle of training some future massage therapists. I returned on Friday January 20th for my scheduled appointment with Joshua. He was pleasant, attentive and gave me an excellent deep tissue massage. I deducted one star from this review because of the actual room where the service was performed. This salon is located in a basement. The room is below street level with a window. That window was open and I was listening to street sounds the entire session. People talking, yelling, cars, motorcycles etc. Although there was a zen like soundtrack being played, the open window made it impossible to really relax. The massage was more expensive in comparison to mainland prices. I attribute that to the tourist location. Even with that I would have not minded, had it been a more tranquil environment. I really love this place! I was in SJ for vacation, and really needed a massage for my neck. Jacken was so kind and did an amazing job releasing the tension in my neck and shoulders.
