Due to the pricing discrepancy we were given an addtl hour on top of the one hour allotted. The staff was uber friendly! The office sits street side just near the lagoon. We were able to leave all of our belonging at their location. We were given basic instructions and sent on our way. There is a small sand bar where we rested, swam and enjoyed the view. The lagoon had others who were either paddle boarding as well, kayaking & swimming. I would recommend this company and will be using them again.

HCOA franchise is predatory. During the pandemic they tried to charge me even though they were…read moreclosed. For a full year they were calling me to harass me even tho the site was closed, until I pulled out my lawyer card and threatened a suit. At one point they had the most DACO complaints against them of any business in Puerto Rico, verifiable on the DACO website. AVOID THESE SCAM ARTISTS, just like Hotel California, you can enter any time you like but you can never leave.

Predatory billing practices resulted in me being charged over $300 for one month, which I was told would cost $122. I had 7 conversations with staff, managers, and company customer support and wasn't able to get resolutions any of those times. There were two issues: 1. I was double charged on sign up. 2. I was not told you need to pay for a minimum of 2 months, even though I told them I only need a 1 month membership. I had to mark the duplicate charge as fraud with my bank because HCOA wouldn't do anything about it. For the second issue, I have no choice but to pay. I can't believe they didn't communicate the full cost to me upfront when I clearly communicated my start and end date, and directly asked what my total cost would be. If you're in Santurce short term, don't go here. I've wasted so much time and money on simple business transactions. And frankly, they don't care.

I have lived all over the world and currently still have homes in a number of places, Puerto Rico being one of them. So all that meant to say, I've used a LOT of gyms and trainers. What's unique about Armando is he customizes the workouts to your age, stage and body. He also goes the extra mile to stretch you and work on problem areas. He's very knowledgable, personable and motivating. He also is a good example of fitness, flexibility and lifestyle. Don't let the lack of machines or bar bells rack you out. I promise you'll leave there sweating your ass off and seeing results and importantly setting new goals and feeling better about yourself. Client for life (when I'm here).

I learned improvements to some exercises I have been doing for years. I've only been going for three weeks, and I already see noticeable changes in myself. Normally I get bored of fitness classes and find them repetitive, but this gym mixes it up each class, so I'm often learning something new. This is a fantastic gym!

They also have a good variety of wieght machines and free weights. They have a sycling classroom upstairs and an aerobics classroom on the ground level. They have a kids area so you can leave you kids while you work out. Unfortunately, they only operate weekdays during morning and evening rush hours. Bathrooms aren't very big, but they have lockers and a few showers. I usually go around 9-10am. It is quiet and peaceful. Not may people. Unfortunately, they don't offer classes at that time. Claases are only early in the morning or in the evening. On the weekends they do give classes during the day (but I don't work out on weekends). My biggest complaint are the aggressive tactics from the trainers to get you to sign up for personal training. I get it, it is their moneymakers. Still, don't like it.
