I decided to give Dulce Leche Bakery another chance after a terrible experience about a year ago,…read moreand I'm genuinely glad I did! My previous visit left me disappointed with the staff's attitude, the food quality, and the portion sizes. This time, though, the experience felt completely different. The atmosphere was more welcoming, and I didn't have the unpleasant staff interactions that made me not want to return the first time. I originally came in to order a birthday cake and ended up ordering a second one over the phone. I left with their house cake and a strawberry shortcake cake. The tres leche cake is always a hit, and the strawberry shortcake was a hit with everyone, too! I also tried the green juice, avocado toast with egg and French fries, turkey avocado sandwich, spinach empanada, ham and cheese croissant, and guava and cheese pastry. Everything was amazing! It's nice to see a place turn around an experience that was once bad enough to keep me away for a year. This visit was a pleasant surprise, and I'm happy I gave them another shot.

I have fine memories of walking through the streets of Recoleta and Palermo at night in search of a quality alfajore, or mornings started with a dulce-filled medialuna and a coffee. This very good Argentine bakery took me back to those days, with a delicious chocolate-encased alfajore paired with a cortado and a crispy churro filled with dulce. For a savory bite, the cheese and spinach empanadas were tasty, if a bit salty. They were both baked, as is the typical style within B.A. city limits.

Delivery is quick for the location we are in. Order is always correct and packaged well. Every single thing that we have had from this bakery has been a 9/10 and 10/10. Highly recommend!! I came back another day based on the hours posted on the door and was glad I did. The interior details are beautiful and give the café a cozy, Parisian feel. As someone who loves visiting Paris, I really appreciated the atmosphere. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant, vanilla pecan éclair, and a cappuccino. The croissant was slightly dry, but the vanilla pecan éclair was delicious: soft, sweet, creamy, and beautifully balanced. Definitely my favorite part of the visit! The high-top seating isn't ideal if you're planning to sit and work for hours. I briefly tried the outdoor seating, but the heat made it uncomfortable that day. I see this more as a place to enjoy a coffee and pastry, meet a friend, and continue with your day rather than settle in for a full workday. I also liked the rewards program, which gives you an incentive to come back. Overall, tasty treats, a beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, and a spot I'd happily revisit.

My only minor complaint is that the lighting inside is very bright. Overall, I genuinely enjoy coming here and have been doing so for years. 5/5 and definitely a repeat visit. It is definitely a local hometown bakery catering to the Hispanic community. It looks like a bodega transformed into a bakery, no cute decor, no seating, nothing fancy here. You will find shelves of Italian bread, Mexican bread, and donuts. Bread runs around 2 for $1. Donuts are a bit pricey for a bakery at $1.25 each. The donuts were pretty good and about 20% bigger than normal donuts. They were still good after sitting for a few days. I bought a few. The Italian bread I purchased wasn't so great a deal. They were flavorless, hard, and crumbled when I attempted to eat it 2 days later. She picked the bread from the rack behind the register, not the front encasement, so maybe it was an old batch? Overall, it's a good spot to grab some fresh and tasty donuts if you are nearby. Based upon the stale bread I got, I wouldn't reccomend high expectations that.
