They do an amazing job of creating a calm and relaxing environment for both owner and fur kid. Dr. Kucia took time to examine my cat with care and made him feel at ease, I've never seen him so relaxed at the vet! She explained everything to me and made me feel at ease as well (I was having some pet mom guilt). Rachel and Dawn showed so much genuine care for my pet as well and I instantly knew we found our forever vet. I've already recommended them to every pet owner I know.

We had a few visits that first year, as this little Olivia was a very active and nosy puppy, swallowing open staples, licking a puddle causing intestinal illness and having a reaction to the kennel cough shot that caused a lump that needed surgery. (this was before kennel cough came in liquid form). Olivia now is a very healthy, almost 12 yr old dog who is seen by Dr.Valas. I find her to be very thorough and will spend as much time as needed to explain any test or answer any questions that I may have. She is very gentle and relates to my nervous dog so well, that the visits go calmly. Before Dr Valas expanded her practice to include 2 groomers, I always had one of the vet techs trim Olivia's nails, as her then groomer couldn't keep Olivia calm enough to get it done and Olivia is only 13 lbs. The staff, both techs and desk, are both friendly and professional. I can email a quick question and get a response back that day from Dr Valas ,or if I call, I hear from her later that day. Family Pet Hospital is a nationally certified hospital , which sets a pretty high bar for standards. One day I had what I thought might be an emergency and they had me bring Olivia up immediately, gave her fluids and kept her under observation for a few hours. So I highly recommend this hospital as I trust them with my dog Olivia. P.S. I also love that the heart worm and tick medications ,along with Olivia's anxiety meds, can now be ordered on line through a site connected to her practice. Delivered to my door ,yes!

My little…read moreboy and I took our kitty to the vet and my little boy brought along his stuffed Curious George - the new vet, Dr Andrew Gestrich, was AMAZING with my little boy. He asked him if he wanted George to get an X-ray and my son was excited about that. I thought he would leave the room with George for a few minutes and then come back but he left and then came back asking us to follow him. He had George lying on the X-ray table and had taken an X-ray of George. This made my little boy's night. He was, of course, extremely good with my kitty too but he sure made an impression on my little boy and I. I'm so happy to have him as our new vet!!!!! Best vet ever!!!!

If you expect an office run like a brand new vet center you won't find it here but what you will find is the great vet service, at reasonable prices, and care like you may have experienced from vet back in the day. This team of folks goes above and beyond for their patients and it is why many of the people that bring their pets here have been returning time after time for 20+ years.

Dr. Nick is so caring, patient, and understanding. Often he's returning calls until 8pm and has given his personal cell phone number if there are any issues post sedation, regardless of procedure. From tumor removal surgery to dental cleaning he calls to check on our pets. He will also ask about how my parents are doing and their pets when I go for a visit with mine. Colleen is fantastic with grooming. My long haired cats would get shaved in the summer so they were more comfortable and she always made them look so adorable and smell so nice. She's also so kind and compassionate, plus prompt with returning calls. If there is a specialized surgery Dr. Nick can't do, he has always referred me to excellent surgeons. For end of life issues, the staff are above and beyond caring and loving. This doctor truly seems to love his work and it will be such a loss whenever he does retire. It came out of nowhere and debilitated her very quickly. The day came when we knew that we needed to put our desires to keep her with us aside as it was outweighed by her need for peace. It was a Friday evening and another vet that we were reffered to by a friend advised us we were out of her service area and gave us a few names in our area. After thoroughly reviewing the options we decided that Dr Maxfield would best fit our needs. I called and left a v-mail and heard back from her via text very quickly. She gave me the options of the following day or Monday and we didn't want to risk our baby breaking a leg or something horrible happening between Friday and Monday so we went with Saturday. She let me know it could be early afternoon. She called in the morning and told me the time and answered any questions I had, although I didn't have many as her website is very informative. It was a beautiful day. The birds were chirping, the hawks were squawking, it was not humid or too hot or overcast in any way. We brought our baby girl out to the deck with her bed and she enjoyed the warm sun and cool breeze. When Dr Maxfield got there she gently introduced herself to our sweet girl and then explained exactly what she would do and about how long the process would take. She comforted us by listening to what we and our sweet girl had been going through for the last 6 weeks. She listened while we told her all about our sweet baby girl and how she came to be ours. She let us know we were making the right decision and that if it was her she would have done the same thing. This helped us immensely. She was so kind and compassionate and so considerate of our feelings. She allowed us to take all the time we needed to say goodbye. She made all of the arrangements with the local pet crematory and she delivered our sweet girl there herself. We didn't need to worry about a thing. I know how heartbreaking it is to make the decision to give a furbaby their angel wings and end their suffering, but it makes it just a bit easier knowing you have someone so caring, like Dr. Maxfield there to ease them in their transition.

Front desk was very welcoming, brief meet and greet with Dr to answer any questions I had, checked in to let me know how things were progressing, 30 mins later, happy hound with nice clean teeth. I will def be coming back, not only for dental cleanings. I appreciated the friendliness of staff and not pushing unnecessary treatments/meds. Everyone at their office is fantastic with her, they are calm and understanding, Nala LOVES it here. She gets out of the car and is so excited to get inside!
