Our group of 6 had a blast here this week. My 5 year old loved making a mess and this place was his dream come true. The kids loved the spray guns and painting the walls and floors and all the things they're not allowed to do at home. Preston was super sweet with them and made us feel so welcome. They played good tunes too. The time flew by! We'll be back when we come back to Nashville!

For a date night, birthday party, or just because check out Urban Art! Pros: -Variety of paint, decorations, and tools to customize your canvas - Small art space and shop to support local artists -Multiple options to protect your clothes, size inclusive -Separate areas for different parties -Nice ambiance -Ample parking. Cons: NONE

Bought a Groupon for the splatter paint session a few months ago, and had a great time! They had a bunch of different tools to use for our paintings. They also had fun music playing. It was a cool experience and highly recommended it.

Preston was a super personable host and even coordinated a painting contest at the end of the event for us.

The spot itself can hold up to about 40 people. It is a little tight but it works. You can bring your own snacks and beverages. There's a table in the front for you to set them and I guess as long as you let everyone know that it's yours no one else will eat it... We just kept it on our own table since we have people that did not make it to class. We started late-about 30 minutes and we ended late. It appeared that we were waiting on a group of about 6 ladies. It gave us time to get our wine and cheese together! The directions that show up online are incorrect. They told us to go to south 9th but the address is actually the one listed on this post. This was a grand opening so maybe that's why. Anyway, great time and I would definitely recommend it!

Um, no...we were all on time so let's get this party started. I don't really care for doing 2 different paintings in one sitting because you have half the class just sitting there waiting. I understand it gives more variety, but it just felt rushed. Overall we had a good time and we are likely to go again but I iust ask to start on time. The folks who are late can just play catch up when they decide to show. ;)

They have started doing a little better about having outlet options, but mainly at those tall, long skinny tables. The ones that aren't necessarily great for working because they're so high up and can make your legs feel weird after awhile. Haha. The other semi complaint I have is that they close early. 3 pm is early when you want to try and work. Drinks are good. I don't drink a ton of coffee these days, but what I've had there was good. I get either their chai or matcha. Both of those I enjoy! I had a sandwich there recently. I wanted to roll my eyes at the price truthfully. However, when it came.. WOAH. It was GIANT. I was thoroughly impressed. It was really really good. I had to take half of it home and put it in the fridge. When I came back home hours later... it was STILL GOOD. The bread was not soggy either! That's HUGE! Ok so overall, I highly recommend this place and it's one of my go to spots.

I'd still consider going back since they're open fairly late, which I really appreciate. There's a small parking lot next to the shop, which is convenient. Overall, a fun spot for the atmosphere even if the coffee didn't quite hit for me.

We looked through the Project Gallery, which had quite a variety of signs to choose from, and each of us selected a different one to make. These were the first signs any of us have ever made. They provided us with all the quality materials, tools, and personal instructions need for each project. The entire staff was personable, friendly, and knowledgeable with the variety of projects we choose from. Emily, was a godsend! She was very patient and detailed in answering our questions. She even assisted us when we doubted our ability. Kathy, the owner, was right there helping as needed while working with another group also. We never felt rushed. We brought a charcuterie tray and drinks with us to nibble and sip on as we worked. Such fun!! Keep in mind when picking projects and setting aside enough time to complete them, that the smaller signs could take an hour, the large ones can take two hours, and the real big ones can take even longer. Plan accordingly. I would definitely return to Hammer and Stain - Mt Juliet for more fun!!!
