Kate is great! I happened upon her during Covid as I was desperate for a hair cut and color (after going pandemic purple - kind of fun for awhile). Anyway, I gave her free reign to give me a new look and she was brilliant. She talked with me to get the gist of my lifestyle - minor maintenance, outdoorsy, classic tastes over all - and I've been coming back since the spring. Art to Go and Kate, the owner, have inspired me to "yelp." Been meaning to share this info because the shop and Kate are really amazing. I've been shopping there for years and can alway find wonderful gifts and inspired clothing for myself. Needing to yelp though is to share 2 stories. After years of thinking about it we finally got married this summer. Kate and the shop proved instrumental in the success of the day, which turned out perfect for us. Consulting with Kate on all those mindful and practical details of getting married proved wise.... we learned the essentials of having an outdoor dance floor and the right band. Kate properly cut all the wedding party's hair in the preceding week and then did hair and make up on the day, not to mention accessorizing and dressing us with wonderful items from the shop. We are told we looked fab and certainly felt that way! Everything was perfect that day and we can't thank you enough Kate for your kindness, confidence and support. Three weeks ago I went back to Kate for another haircut and told her that I would be happy to have her do her magic as a hair artist. In a very short time she transformed my look with not a whole lot of hair loss. A very cute cut that turns out to be quite glam in an understated way for a not so glam girl. I loved it right away but the reason I am commenting on this cut is the response I received to it. Went to work the following week and pretty much everyone I work with reacted to it. Even a couple folks who I don't know well sent me emails, one of which was in all caps claiming I was gorgeous. As a modest gal I was a bit overwhelmed but it wasn't all that bad for the ego....
