BAILED ON ME A WEEK BEFORE THE WEDDING. BRIDES BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! After having to stalk both Art and his assistant for any kind of consistent communication (every email was met with "we are very busy -- we have a lot of clients" or etc., it was getting very close to my wedding day, and there was still no finalized plan with the photographer, whereas every other vendor was very clear in where they would be at what time, etc. Given the importance of the wedding pictures, I reached out again to Art and Linda (after 10 days of radio silence, and may I add Linda also flaked on a scheduled call earlier in our communications, and I had to send Art 5 or 6 emails begging for the insurance certificate after it was WEEKS late for the venue, even though all of the deadlines were outlined in the vendor agreement, but he later email me that again "he was traveling" and acted like it was a gift to me that he finally fulfilled his obligations in sending over the required paperwork). Anyway, I sent an email asking if we were all set, and why I had never received the promised shot list, or why they had not confirmed the timeline (generally a "Hello? Where are you?") or etc. (in their defense I HAD promised a full run of show which I had not yet sent over because my planner was going to send it to them when she introduced herself, but we never made it to that point)., and no joke got the response "We have a lot of clients, we have to make compromises when it comes to communication" THAT IS THE MOST UNACCEPTABLE ANSWER I HAVE EVER HEARD. He then went on to say that he could not meet my need, and issued a refund, A WEEK BEFORE MY WEDDING. (at least he says he issued a refund... I don't see it anywhere on my credit card just yet). So here I am... after having to stalk my photographer for months on end to get any kind of solid plans, a week before my wedding, scrambling for a new photographer. Whatever balogna response this review is met with (i'm sure there will be one), just know that I do not negatively review lightly, but this is insanely UNETHICAL to leave a bride with no photographer this close to the wedding, all because she wanted very simple customer service from you, which should come as STANDARD. read more

I had a shoot with Art the first time last week and I have to say, I'm very impressed. He's very professional and very fun to work with. What distinguish him from other photographers is that he will always ask what the client wants first and go from there. He walks you through poses, so don't worry if you can't think of one, and he'll definitely make you laugh to capture great moments. Art and his team saved my wedding day! They really deserve 10 Stars! I planned my outdoor garden wedding for the middle of July in Southern California because I knew there would be "no chance of rain"... However, Tropical Storm Delores showed up without an invitation. When I arrived at the ceremony site, (The Los Angeles Arboretum) it was pouring rain. I thought, there is no way we are going to get pictures and I was even contemplating cancelling the ceremony! Then I was dropped off at the photo location to meet Art. I couldn't believe it; there he was with a crew of 4. We had previously discussed having one assistant and one photographer. Instead, he rolled with 3 photographers and an art director! They immediately took charge, acted as if there was no rain and got down to business. They were fantastic, kept my spirits up, and even brought me snacks. In the end the pictures turned out AMAZING! They look like magazine covers. You would never know we were in the middle of biggest downpour of the year. Instead it looks like a bright sunny day! I am very grateful to have found such a great photographer to capture my wedding day. Funny thing is, I spent 7 months of CRAZY BRIDE planning and in the end I barely remember the wedding at all... I am 100% happy with the services I received from Art Taylor Photography! Out of all of the photographers that I contacted for quotes Art was the first to respond to me. He responded to all messages I sent him and was very easy to get in touch with. Initially his packages weren't what I was interested in because I was looking for more coverage in place of a photo book and he was willing to work with me and constructed a package that worked for me. During our initial meeting he was professional and answered every single one of my questions. His ability to answer each of my questions with certainty and clarity made me feel assured in booking with him. I already knew that I liked his work, but I liked him as well. Art's website allows for monthly payments and they send you email updates reminding you of them. It was convenient for me to be able to pay online. On the day of my wedding Art and his assistant were on time and set my fiance and I up for our first look. I really didn't know how to pose or stand but they helped me and guided me. Throughout the wedding they showed up when I needed them for pictures with my loved ones and took the initiative to set up shots of the decor and surroundings.
