I don't know about you, but if someone can't help me with a little project, they definitely aren't…read moregetting a big one! I was feeling pressured to decide paint colors by my remodeling crew, so I found this place & scheduled an immediate consultation. I brought samples of my bath vanity granite, flooring & tile & phone pictures of the whole space. I wanted colors to "flow" from room to room. The designer (Jo Howell) merely confirmed what I had already selected, plus trying to get me to change window treatments & add wallpaper. What suggestions she had for kitchen tile & granite did not improve anything. (In fact, she wanted to know where I got my LVP flooring & bath granite!) She didn't even know what the "light reflective value" score meant, on the paint chip, & had to ask someone else. (the REAL decorator, perhaps?!) All this for $180 ($120/hr-- I only stayed an hour) I felt I was taken advantage of, despite her "nice" demeanor. If you are relocating to Wilmington, you might want to avoid this place.

We have a small home in downtown Wilmington and contracted with Silkwood to paint the exterior…read more That statement doesn't entirely cover what's happening outside as I write this. Necessary carpentry work done by a master, hand washing of the entire exterior, hand scraping and sanding of every inch of the siding, window frames and all surfaces to be painted, and priming of all bare wood. Well, Silkwood has them in abundance. Hire them. You will not regret it.

We did extensive research once we realized we needed custom closet installations due to how…read moreinefficiently our original closets were designed. With so many vendors to choose from, the process initially felt overwhelming. However, after meeting with Aaron, we immediately canceled the other consultations and proposals we had lined up. Aaron, the owner of Carolina Custom Closets, completely impressed us from the start. His background in mechanical engineering clearly shows in the way he approaches design and functionality. During our consultation, he asked thoughtful questions and offered creative, practical solutions that no other company had even considered. His pricing was very competitive, but what truly stood out was the quality of the product and craftsmanship. The installation team, John and Rod, were professional, personable, and brought decades of cabinetry experience to the project. The attention to detail was exceptional. Even the drawers are made from real walnut wood, which not only looks beautiful but smells amazing. We were so impressed with the overall quality, value, and customer experience that we've already scheduled three additional closet projects over the next few weeks. Aaron -- thank you for your professionalism, humility, expertise, and customer-first approach. While I can't claim to have interviewed every closet company in Wilmington, I would be genuinely surprised if anyone could match the combination of design insight, craftsmanship, quality, and value that Carolina Custom Closets delivers. Pictures are of two separate closets. The primary has drawers, shelves, double laundry bin, valet rod, tie bar, triple hang, etc. The second has shelves and double hang, and an ingenious vent to guide HVAC air into the closet (which is unnoticeable).
