I am falling short of words to describe their poor and unbelievably unprofessional management…read more First they don't bother receiving phone calls; when I finally get through to confirm class availability, they assure me there is space after which I pay the $100 registration fee online. A week before classes are to commence, they call to inform me that they don't have space anymore, and when I ask them to refund registration fee, they say it's not refundable! I am still incredulous and trying to make sense of how they will bear no responsibility for their dysfunctional management, rather refuse to return the fee that *they* made me pay in the first place after falsely confirming availability. Unbelievable! Absolutely unbelievable!

This place was awful…read more Although RSM is a good idea and taught by relatively intelligent and understanding teachers, the language barrier makes effective communication almost impossible. Above this, there's an almost cultish air to the entire institute; the teachers are dead set on the beliefs that they have, and it leaks through in various lessons. Above this, a cutthroat environment is encouraged at RSM, where kids will be mocked for making mistakes - which I personally don't believe bothered my son more than the average of two-three hours of homework per week - at least. I've sent my son to three locations due to scheduling reasons, and he was in the program for three years until his constant begging to quit got to us. We instead got a private tutor, who he can firstly understand, but also stand learning with. In conclusion, I hope you find other schools to try first before finally resorting to RSM. Perhaps try Kumon, or private tutoring if you are capable of providing that.

We are proud of our son and grateful for his admission to Bentley University. However, calling it…read more"a top university with a significant merit scholarship" is an obvious attempt to inflate the outcome. A $10,000 merit award is fairly common among Lexington High School seniors. Our son's dream school was Babson College, and that was the goal we worked toward for years. After several years of working with Livius, his final SAT score was 1350. That is not a terrible score, but it is not impressive in Lexington, especially among Asian students. We ultimately sought additional support elsewhere. It is inappropriate to now imply that the entire result is solely your achievement. The core issue remains the sales process. We were strongly persuaded to purchase a large prepaid package, and were told at the time that it might even be insufficient for what our son would need. Based on that representation, we signed the so-called "non-refundable" agreement. After years of services, we still have more than 10 unused hours left. That alone speaks for itself. When we recently inquired about the remaining balance, the response was dismissive and focused only on the contract clause, without any acknowledgment of the inaccurate projections used to sell the package. Repeating "you signed a contract" while ignoring the context is not customer care -- it is deflection. Using ambiguous language to magnify results and take credit, while dismissing legitimate concerns about unused prepaid services, reflects poorly on a company that charges premium prices. We stand by our review.

Lack of communication was a major issue, my child was moved around among different counselors several times and none were well informed about his portfolio. Very discouraging throughout the application process, made my child doubt his ability to apply to top schools-- we went against their advice and he ended up being accepted to many. Not sure why the reviews here are so good, the ones on Reddit are much more honest. Save your money and do a google search instead, you can get the same and more information online for free.

I am a 52 year old father of three daughters. My oldest will be attending college in the fall. I…read morewas raised in Massachusetts and my father was self employed his whole life. So when I announced to him that I would be going to college, his reply was "with what, I'm not paying for it". I was a good student and got accepted to Cornell, UNLV, FIU, Johnson & Wales and The Culinary Institute. Without his help I attended a community college for my first two years of school. Then I transferred to Florida International University in Miami, which I never saw until the day I showed up for orientation. Both my parents never got a chance to attend a college and I worked full time through all four years of college. Not much of a college experience for me. So for my age group things have changed, touring campus's, SAT prep, ACT prep, Financial aid, essays, thank you letters to school visited, choice, choice and more choices, Etc. This is all a foreign language to me and having a daughter that lives in the NOW and with so many choices and decisions to make. I just can't tell you how much of an asset it is to have Larry Dannenberg coach my daughter and myself about this whole process. I know from personal experience that Larry also handles many other high school students in and around our town of Southborough and that is how he came highly recommended to us. All my daughters will use College Solutions because the rules for admissions change as do our kids from year to year. We started in my daughters sophomore year getting her ready all with Larry's help. This was something I just don't have time for as my wife and I are both self employed just like both sets of our parents were. No mistakes, lots of personal attention, Larry and his staff all very assiduous in their duties when it comes to working with your child. I highly recommend College Solutions.
