Avoid this shop! Got a tattoo from them back in 2023 and I normally dont write bad reviews but I can't let this go. I asked for a realistic hieroglyphic tattoo and what I got was horrible job that I have to now get LASERED off. The owner not only seemed disinterested and rushy(even when I booked that date), but asked me to switch artists when I booked for HIM.... I understand I was a few minutes late(traffic as I was coming an hour away and I did notify him in advance), that was the red flag that told me I should've abandoned the appointment but he had already took my deposit(still should've abandoned ship!). I told him to I booked with him and him only. He seemed irritated and rushed through the tattooing(again I apologized for being a few minutes late which I again told him in advance), and so I ignored. However, the finished product was a MESS and disaster as you can see. And even other tattoo artists noted so, two being my go to tattoo artists. This tattoo is a jumbled mess from the line work, women's faces, very lazy shading, etc. I can go on.... Its just a mess and luckily I saved the original image when it was done to show proof. This piece was supposed to be the Tomb of Nebamun but looks more like the tomb of disaster. Nothing looks like the original picture. Heck an apprentice back at my go to tattoo shop laughed and said he could do a better job. In fact many people I show cant believe the amount of money I paid! To add insult to injury the piece was $700! Now some tattoo artists I spoken to are baffled in how this tattoo doesnt match his "impressive" portfolio. Some even saying many of those tattoos in his portfolio aren't his. I don't know what the case maybe but all I know that I got a lazy, rushed and uninspired tattoo that I REFUSE to have permanently on me.... So yea going to try laser removal(ouch!) this year but the pain will be worth the mental pain I suffered. This is a warning.... If you want GOOD tattoos and artists that care avoid this shop.... read more

I had a good experience yesterday on my birthday. David is awesome! I did tell him that I wanted a sunflower tattoo and to use the picture as a reference. He originally did the tattoo exactly like the picture. Luckily, it wasn't too late and it could be fixed to the way I wanted it. I wish the hip hop music wasn't so loud. I couldn't listen to my music because the volume would be really high in my ears. I played games on my phone. Overall, great experience. I am so grateful David was able to take me last minute. The original shop and artist I was going to go to was out sick. I did not want to reschedule. I wanted this on my birthday. David said he could do it. Very happy with it. read more

So I went in to try to get my New Jersey outline covered up. I ended up speaking to David Pracise he told me no problem he could cover it up with the idea I mentioned. When speaking to him he seemed very knowledgeable and said he would be able to cover it up no problem. Not only was I charged $800 for this cover up but when it healed you could clearly see the original tattoo. He rushed this tattoo and seem totally distracted on his phone and talking to his son who was in the shop with him. I didn't even want to show anyone the cover up cuz it looked horrible from the back. Recently I went to another artist from a different shop. We've only done one session and already it looks 100% better. Not only that but I paid 1/4 of the price for the first session. As you can see the difference in the pictures I'm attaching. I'd stay away from this place. Although I can't comment on any other artists there I can definitely say don't waste your money and time with David. read more

I met David at the new England tattoo convention in CT and he agreed to do a piece for me we agreed to $500 for skull and fill in flames from wrist to upper forearm if done right 2 1/2 hrs worth of work. I sat I his chair at 815pm and he told me he was done at 930 1.15hrs well I got home took coverings off and washed it. The art very sub par especially compared to his samples he had on display the flames look like a 13yr old kid did. I wish I could post pics. I messaged him still haven't heard back. This tattoo shop is probably the most unprofessional one I've been to. About a year ago went in for an appointment I made and when I got there none of the artists had time to do my tattoo. I came back the next day because they had my non refundable deposit. The tattoo was mediocre at best, many of the lines had ink bled out and the lines aren't even straight. He was excited about doing my tattoo and scheduled a few appts for it since it was a big piece. He even gave me a discount for it! His demeanor,attention to detail and all around professionalism was what you look for in an artist. He didn't rush that work,but I could see that he was in "the zone" when doing it because he was incredibly focused. I just went to art n soul for the first time and got an amazing tattoo from David. I have gotten other tattoos from other artist (I regret now) and they don't even compare to the tattoo David gave me, he was precise and paid attention to detail, this man was focused and ready to go the whole 8 hours of my tat. I've read some reviews before even going to him, and most of them were bad trashing how he handles there time or had a bad experience which I find crazy. Literally the worst experience I've had as a client. My artist, Erick, showed up late to my appointment and proceeded to eat his sandwich, making me wait. I told him my tattoo idea and asked him to adjust the length of it (it was a sentence) because I wanted it to be longer and he did barely adjusted it and said "trust me, i've been doing this a long time." Major mistake. After getting the tattoo, I thought it was too short so I asked if I could get two more words added onto it another day. I showed up to my next appointment and he forgot about it. He asked "do you really need the two words?" and, being as I did not like the tattoo, I obviously said yes. I was being civil but he started to give me attitude because he said that he made my tattoo how I wanted it, and I disagreed with him. I did not think I was being rude, I was simply stating that I just wanted two words but he took my honesty as rudeness. He also said that he never told me to trust him (which did happen) and we just bickered back and forth for a little bit (mind you, he had another client right next to him). I just wanted to get tattooed so I apologized and asked if we could drop the argument and he went "I don't even want to tattoo you anymore." I left because, obviously he wasn't going to tattoo me, and also he was really disrespectful. I wish I never went to him and given him a tip. I hope he lost that tip. Overall, Erick is just mad disrespectful especially since I was willing to drop the argument and literally apologized for everything even though I did nothing wrong. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went in with my cousin to get similar tattoos on our feet. When our two feet were placed together, it was a beautiful saying. So this was sentimental to me. After 3-4 weeks not only did my foot tattoo fade, you could not even make out the words that he wrote. Went back 2 days later and I knew someone was wrong when one part was already faded. He had placed the tattoo so low that it would have never stayed on without warning. I have tats and I know they fade but they don't fade off unless it's a hand or BOTTOM OF YOUR FOOT!!! Accordingly, two other artists I went to in NY, stated the placement was almost under my foot and they both said they would have NEVER WENT SO LOW ON MY FOOT. Now being someone that tats " rappers and "music artists " and with "10 years of experience", would know not to place a tattoo in the far bottom bc it's going to come right off. After three weeks when it was starting to look like it was coming off I texted him again to say can you fix this? He said "well I told you that would happen" and wanted to charge me almost what I paid within 1 month to redo the tattoo and was extremely arrogant about it. He did tell me it may fade a little over time in which I completely understand. I have a 16 year old tattoo on my body that has not faded the way his tattoo did after 3 weeks. I know what fading is! The work that was done I couldn't explain so I went to EXPERTS. After all the hassle I ended up having to do a cover up which is beautiful but cost me triple of what I paid to do the tattoo in the first place. On top of it, I also got a piercing that got infected due to his jewelry but that is understandable because everyone has different sensitivities. But was the icing on the cake. I do not recommend this place and especially do not recommend David (the owner at that). I Hope this helps to save anyone their time, pain, aggravation, and money. read more

I took a little trip to Art N Soul Tattoo on Sunday (3/20/16) to use my Groupon that I purchased a few months back. I called ahead and spoke to David who told me to come in at 3:00 P.M. Lol, I was definitely late. When I got there two guys were tatting up these two girls. The shop was lively and clean. One of the guys noticed I was waiting and beckoned me over. He asked me who I was here to see and I told him that I had a Groupon and spoke with David earlier today. He told me to sit down and said he would do me next. He had practically just started on a girl so I waited for about an hour (which was fine, especially given that I was the one who was late). His name was L Curry! He asked me what I was getting, where I wanted it and the color. After I signed the release form we were on our way. I wanted seven small tattoos, which were symbols from a TV show I've loved since I was a kid, on several different parts of my body. L Curry was happy to oblige! He took the time to make sure the placements were exactly where I wanted them. Talking me through the whole thing! He was just a very nice person, and took the time to talk to me and put me at ease. I was comfortable for the entire hour, and he made sure I had privacy as I was getting a tattoo that had a placement very close to my breast. His work was (and IS) amazing. My tattoos came out great, plus it barely hurt to get them. He is a super hard worker, and stayed late just to finish my tattoos. I know where I'm going if I ever get the itch for a new tattoo. :) Please go see him for a tattoo if you can! L Curry made my second tattoo experience the best one I've had. I saw David Precise and was basically forced to give him a nearly $300 deposit to hold my spot and to sketch my tattoo, i gave full references to the tattoo I wanted to get. He had 2 weeks and told me he would sketch something nice. By the time my tattoo day came up he had given me the run around several times and finally the morning of he sent me a shottie sketch and completely removed all elements of my tattoo. Then he canceled last minute cause I wasn't happy with the lack of attention to detail. Then I had to wait a week to get my money back. He has done my entire sleeve and my entire chest which is a chess board of gods hand and the devils. All of my tattoos are grey scale but he also excels in color.
