Impressive Sedalia! Spread out on 2 wings and 3 floors with plenty of outdoor sculpture also, the Daum is just as impressive as The Kemper in Kansas City, The Nerman in Overland Park, KS or the St. Louis Contemporary. Multiple exhibits were featured on todays visit, including "The Rule of Three" - sculptural and decorative ceramics, "In Ruins" - a three artist collaboration of post industrial ruin via sculpture, models and photography; and two other curated exhibits featuring pieces from the permanent collection - "Still Life's" and "Gridlocked". Oh yes, they also have a huge purple glass Chihuly chandelier hanging in the 3 story atrium with multiple vantage points from inside and outside to view. The crown jewel of several unique reasons to visit Sedalia for a day.

My daughter is a wheelchair user and it was perfectly accessible throughout! This play was so well done. Each scene told a different story of love, friendship and life in sometimes serious, yet funny, impactful messages. The cast was fabulous. Excellent actors that knew how to capture your attention and keep you engaged in their scene with many surprises as well. The delivered very natural real performances, funny, powerful and exceptional. Bravo! Can't wait to see what they have coming up next!

Got a black tattoo on my left upper arm. Was my first tattoo at 62 years old. The design was a…read morespiky scorpion I found on the net. I made some adjustments to the fangs from the original and brought a printout to my appointment. The gal who did the tattoo copied it straight to a stencil and put it on my arm. The tattoo went fine, though there were constant interruptions due to her double-booking my appointment (I had to wait a couple of months to get to see her. After the tattoo was done, I was given about 1 minute to look at it in a mirror and then sent home. I paid 175 plus a 25 dollar tip for the tattoo. After the healing was mostly over, I noticed that the fangs I had been careful to change were not what she tattooed. The fangs I got were two different sizes and wonky-looking. So, I did some adjustments in a paint program and asked her if you could fix what was wrong. She told me what I wanted done didn't count as a touch-up and I would have to pay again. She then said what she tattooed was what I gave her, and I had been happy with it when she was done. As can be seen in the photos below, the tattoo does not match up with the design. And all I was asking for was evening up the finished product. The size of the alteration is less than a postage stamp. And it wouldn't take more than 1 minute to do. Unfortunately, she insisted it counted as a whole new tattoo, and I would have to pay accordingly. I made a comment about her not being able to stay within the lines and ended the conversation. I had planned a large colored mural on my right arm depicting my stay in Guatemala when I was a child. I am imagining it would have cost me 500 dollars, if not more. Needless to say, I will not be going back to the zone to get that done.
