The trees are low enough not to require ladders so they're kid friendly (and for those of us who are fun-sized). The orchard offered a beautiful view of the hills in the background covered in fall trees when I went in early October. There was also a little pumpkin patch that was perfect for pictures! Many people visit Fly Creek Cider Mill and Orchard but you don't get the same experience since you don't get to pick the apples right off the trees. However, we did visit Fly Creek (which is a fun experience too!) the next day and I thought that the apple cider doughnuts from here were much better - they were softer and denser! I also compared it to some doughnuts that my cousin bought from another orchard in PA and Middlefield's still comes up on top! I definitely recommend here for your traditional fall apple-picking/apple cider doughnut-eating/pumpkin-picking experience! There weren't much people when we went so there were many opportunities for uninterrupted photos as well!

One of them was teaching a 13-year-old girl how to run the register and then another gentleman who appeared to be in his mid to late 70s approach the counter as my items were being rung up I'm retired Air Force and had a US Air Force retired ball cap on my head. I asked the folks behind the counter kindly if they provided a military discount, the two gentlemen behind the counter, looked at the older gentleman who I am presuming is the owner of the Orchard and who was standing at the end of the counter by this point looked up in my hat, gave me a smirk and said I think your retirement should be paying for mine and then walked away. I didn't appreciate the comment. All he had to say was no we don't provide a discount and I would've been happy with that. It appears to me that this Apple, orchard owner is not veteran friendly and I will not return. My presumption is not based off of the lack of a discount is based off of his statement which I didn't appreciate be prepared for sticker shock for those few things I paid almost $100 for it.

Not many carry cash anymore much less dollar bills. Just add it to the price and let people not have to fumble looking for more money once inside. Also the gift shop was so incredibly hot it was sickening to be in there.

We got here an hour before closing which probably isn't enough time but my son is 3 so it was perfect for him. The carousel which I thought was super cute my son ran for dear life from. It's a carousel! lol. Seriously the way he ran you'd think we were trying to lure him to the carousel of death. So sadly no ride on that but everything else was really cool to check out. Random chickens around my son was happy seeing it all. Gift shop was closed as we left but we came back the next day to check that out :) I definitely plan on coming back here as my boy gets older where he can actually pay attention to things.

Totally superb in every way…read more Beautifully restored Victorian home, very comfortable room with excellent bedding, great bathroom and shower, and the best B&B breakfast you will ever have. Fluffy pancakes with warm peaches, blueberries and warm maple syrup with bacon the first morning, an egg soufflé with Boursin cheese, fabulous fruit/yogurt/granola parfait and sausage the second day. Fire pit in the back in the evening, wonderful and welcoming staff - what more could anyone possibly want? This is just an amazing place to stay while in Cooperstown - and walking distance to Hall of Fame and other attractions in the Village. Highly recommend!

Breakfasts were outstanding (leek and spinach quiche, with apple cider-basted sausage; rosemary and lemon French toast with lemon curd, REAL maple syrup and bacon cooked to perfection; pancakes with berries - each beyond delicious!). Chef is happy to accommodate dietary restrictions - she takes great care to make sure you're nourished with nutritious food. Staff were so welcoming and eager to please, from the minute I walked through the door. Truly a wonderful stay and I can't wait to come back!

Our group was assembled with two adults and two kids: we all thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful trip out there. First off, we were encouraged to pick fresh herbs & flowers all for free! Matilda loved it so much she squealed with joy as we ran through the rows of plants and picked flowers. We all left very happy and was glad we made the to trek out there. The kids loved seeing the home where our summer vegetables were grown and we had a lovely hand picked center piece for our dinner table that night.

Raymond and Sara and the rest of the farm workers take great care in their growing and harvesting, and it shows. We love the variety of vegetables (and a few fruits!) - many reliable standards like corn, tomatoes, snap peas, and broccoli as well as a few new ones like cooking greens, garlic scapes, and different heirloom varieties that have become some of our favorites. The farm is a wonderful place to visit, and the u-pick garden (that comes with your share) is overflowing with fresh herbs, cherry tomatoes, and flowers in all colors and sizes.
