The art building at UH Manoa is a very homie and chill place to be in. When I first started out at UHM, I was an art major and frequented the area a lot attending classes and just hanging out around the building. The classes in the building are pretty cool. They have rooms for ceramics, photography, drawing/painting, graphic arts, art history, art gallery, etc. One of the nicest things in the Art Building is the "bamboo forest." It is located within in the art building right next to the department's office area and gallery. Being an art student was fun until I switched majors. They also have the art auditorium which you can reserve and use for events and such. It is actually pretty good and it holds a majority of the big class size lecture classes down there. I do feel, however, that some areas especially the facilities and classrooms of the art building can be renovated. For the resources that they have at the art building, it definitely deserves some extra art work in itself for the art building. Other than that, there are some areas with the art building that has a good atmosphere and sit down and chill, have a snack, ready a book, or study. read more
