I brought my item to Certified Framing & Gallery and they put in new glass, repositioned/centered the lithograph, they appeared to have polished/cleaned the frame and put on a new backing with new wire and hardware to hang. They had it done within 3 days for around $40.00 Looks GREAT and I couldn't be happier. True professionals!

My wife and I have a collection of autographed pictures that we want to hang in our house together…read more We wanted the frames to match but we couldn't afford to have six custom frames made so we purchased some inexpensive ones. However, the matting and the glass in cheap frames leaves a lot to be desired. I brought everything here, and we worked out a deal where they would custom cut replacement matting, UV protection glass, and then attached the pictures to the matting. When we picked them up, we just had to reinstall everything in the frames we already had (which they confirmed we pretty good quality frames). We are very pleased with the results.

They have "regular" hours but they also do appointments by request, which is nice. Of note, they had to search multiple companies to find a frame that was similar to some we already had, and that took several weeks. In general, I had to call them for updates even when deadlines were missed (they had good reasons for it) and I wish they had taken the initiative to call me first. However, it all worked out in the end and I am happy with the job they did.

The gallery has a very central and safe location with plenty of parking in front. It made a very professionell impression, being very well lit, open and friendly. I cannot express the level of expertise and professionalism that Sam at Four Corners Frame Shop has…read moreexhibited on multiple art pieces for our home. Sam did an excellent job framing a piece of artwork my husband and I purchased while in Quebec. With his skilled craftsmanship and guidance on framing and matting selection, the resulting showpiece enhances the colors of the original etching. He made it easy, fun, and offered great insight while going over options and finalizing choices. Based on his previous work, we knew we could entrust him with a significant antique oil painting that is a prized possession as it depicts the location where my husband and I got married. He took the time to make a house call with his wife due to the delicate nature of the piece and helped install appropriate hardware necessary to hang such a delicate painting. The piece now hangs beautifully on our bedroom wall and we're delighted to wake up to a stunning image everyday thanks to Sam and his wife. We cannot thank Sam and his wife enough for their diligence and passion for their work. We unreservedly would recommend them and do not trust our art with anyone else because we know that it is in great hands and will turn out even beyond our expectations. We look forward to working with this family-owned shop on many projects in the future and are truly lucky to have such a gem in our community!

A Very FIne Business…read more Recently I had a series of miniatures that needed new backing and proper wires. I walked into Four Corners Frame and there was a line of four waiting. Sam, one of the owners, was gracious and unflustered, advised those of us next in line of the anticipated wait, and proceeded to give his full attention and the best possible advice to the first couple there to have several items framed. Several of us chose to wait and it was a pleasure to watch the warmth, interest and professionalism that he invested in each customer. My project was small and easy, yet he took the time to engage in conversation and to make me feel that my project was just as important to him as the other that proceeded me. The work was done within a few days and I received a text. Though it was my first time as a customer he immediately remembered me when I returned to the shop and had me examine his work and wanted to be sure that I was fully satisfied before I left. This is truly a gem of a business and you feel well served and appreciated when you leave.

I can't believe that there aren't any other reviews of this cool little gallery on Yelp yet! With…read moremost other arts and culture in the area on hold right now, we were craving something interesting to do, and decided to brave the snow to check out a brand new exhibition at the Opalka Gallery. First, I want to get this out of the way: the space is teeny-tiny, so you're not going to make a day of it. You might not even make a half-hour of it. For someone who really loves wandering around galleries and museums it feels a little like being served exactly five potato chips. However, the art on display is legitimately really interesting and worth seeing. Right now the exhibition includes prints, sculptures, and a motorized sound installation that was really cool to look at, even though we didn't get to see it in action (the artist wasn't there when we were). I'm really looking forward to coming back here post-covid to attend some of the musical performances and other events that the Opalka gallery runs -- in the summer of 2019 they were hosting an outdoor beer garden with art and music that I really regret never having checked out when I had the chance! Post script: COVID procedures are scrupulously followed here, so be prepared to fill out a contact-tracing form and have your temperature taken before you can check out the art.

I've lived in Albany for nearly four years now, and I never knew about this place! I found out…read moreabout this through the Yelp Events page (Bombs Away!) and was able to attend the event. It showcases numerous types of artwork throughout the building and has different studios for different purposes. They also offered a variety of different classes that I look forward to learn more about! The Bombs Away Workshop was incredibly fun! The instructors were really knowledgeable and helpful. It was a small group, so the ratio of instructor:students was pretty well balanced. They provided ample supplies and appropriate protective wear for the event. The only comment would be to provide more scales or request us to bring some in the invitation. I think that slowed down the efficiency of the workshop since we were just waiting for everyone to get their ingredients measured. Otherwise, I had a lot of fun and hope there are more fun events advertised!
