They were curious, quick, and did a great job framing my degree and a painting of mine.

I cannot express the level of expertise and professionalism that Sam at Four Corners Frame Shop has…read moreexhibited on multiple art pieces for our home. Sam did an excellent job framing a piece of artwork my husband and I purchased while in Quebec. With his skilled craftsmanship and guidance on framing and matting selection, the resulting showpiece enhances the colors of the original etching. He made it easy, fun, and offered great insight while going over options and finalizing choices. Based on his previous work, we knew we could entrust him with a significant antique oil painting that is a prized possession as it depicts the location where my husband and I got married. He took the time to make a house call with his wife due to the delicate nature of the piece and helped install appropriate hardware necessary to hang such a delicate painting. The piece now hangs beautifully on our bedroom wall and we're delighted to wake up to a stunning image everyday thanks to Sam and his wife. We cannot thank Sam and his wife enough for their diligence and passion for their work. We unreservedly would recommend them and do not trust our art with anyone else because we know that it is in great hands and will turn out even beyond our expectations. We look forward to working with this family-owned shop on many projects in the future and are truly lucky to have such a gem in our community!

A Very FIne Business…read more Recently I had a series of miniatures that needed new backing and proper wires. I walked into Four Corners Frame and there was a line of four waiting. Sam, one of the owners, was gracious and unflustered, advised those of us next in line of the anticipated wait, and proceeded to give his full attention and the best possible advice to the first couple there to have several items framed. Several of us chose to wait and it was a pleasure to watch the warmth, interest and professionalism that he invested in each customer. My project was small and easy, yet he took the time to engage in conversation and to make me feel that my project was just as important to him as the other that proceeded me. The work was done within a few days and I received a text. Though it was my first time as a customer he immediately remembered me when I returned to the shop and had me examine his work and wanted to be sure that I was fully satisfied before I left. This is truly a gem of a business and you feel well served and appreciated when you leave.

I'm happy to support this local, family-owned business, not only for the aforementioned reasons but…read morealso because their employees are both knowledgeable and helpful. I tend to come in to have prints matted and/or framed. Archival materials are the norm. The staff will also mat to ready-made frame sizes or custom. Their training also makes choosing mats easier. "Do you want bright white or eggshell white?" "Let's look at them together." Additionally, they offer to amend things that I didn't notice. A print I asked to have matted and framed was slightly curved. I was assured the print would be flattened prior to being matted and framed so it would sit more snugly. I'm sure most customers would appreciate that attention to detail. Here's to hoping this establishment continues to provide goods and services to this community for a long time to come.

This store has been around for years and always has a great selection of products. My mom loves…read moreadult coloring books and comes here to stock up on assorted color pencils. They sell the pencils individually so she can selectively restock the ones she runs out of most. Apparently, green is the most frequently used color for all the grass in landscapes so she can buy individual ones here very reasonably instead of buying a whole new package of pencils. They also have a nice selection of gift items like small pouches, reusable bags, socks, cards and assorted small art themed things. The selection of easels is extensive and includes table easels and standing easels. Tons of canvas, paints and paint brushes. Prices are reasonable. I found the staff a little overbearing (they greeted me multiple times) when I entered the store but were friendly at checkout. Highly recommend.

I was walking along Church St. in Lenox, and decided to check out this so-called "gallery" -- Sohn Fine Art. I stroll in with high hopes, and honey... big mistake. Stay FAR away from this sad little wannabe "gallery." The owner, Cassandra Sohn, is out here acting like she's Norman Rockwell's long-lost twin -- please. She's not visionary; she's just delusional. Her attitude? Rude. Her so-called "art"? Tired. Dated. Like, if dust could be pretentious, this would be it. In my opinion, you're better off buying in the art section of Five Below.....

***** WARNING ARTISTS *****…read more I entered a fee-based competition for possible inclusion in a Soon Gallery exhibition. Instead of adhering to the acceptance/denial notification date she originally stated in the specifications, the gallery director switched to a Hollywood style maneuver and told me I was, "shortlisted", with a NEW notification date a month away, thus rendering my artworks in limbo and unavailable for exhibition elsewhere. I contacted Ms. Soon and demanded a refund. After her sad attempt at convincing me that by having shortlisted several of my pieces she had indeed fulfilled her obligation of timely notification, I contacted my credit card company. Bank of America has no tolerance for this type of manipulation of terms and upon their investigation granted my full refund.
