It has 2 stories, and although it does not have an elevator, the owner reserves 1st floor accommodations for anyone unable to ascend the large gorgeous wooden stairway located in the lobby. The facility boasts a fireplace with comfortable seating in the lobby, and a 12 seat movie theatre with luxurious seating. The breakfast area is very clean and neatly arranged to provide sanitary locations for utensils and napkins. The hallways have beautiful trim work, which is just one more detail to back the hotel's name. This review comes from a professional who has travelled nationwide on a regular basis. The initial booking interaction with the front office manager was excellent, and she went out of her way to make sure we were familiarized with the property, how to get in and out of the coded gate, and where to find our documents/keys, etc. as we were checking in late upon arrival. The cabin was beautiful, if not a tad outdated in the typical "Gatlinburg mountain-style" motif, and was settled nicely by itself without an immediate neighbor, so we felt very comfortable, secluded, and able to fully relax - the ideal weekend getaway environment! What was even better was the pricing. Our cabin was a 2 bedroom, 3 bath, fully stocked kitchen with all appliances, dishware, silverware, etc, and a living room area with 2 couches, a lounge chair, including a flat panel with tv access, and all across 2 stories. Everything was very well cleaned, the loft area was beautiful, and even had an in-room whirlpool-jetted tub. Everything they said they'd do, they did. Great service, nice location very close to the Fall Creek Falls State Park, and within 15 mins either way of the nearest town for additional options. There are no top tier hotels in Crossville, by the way. When you drive up or drive by you see the water stains on the building and the need for a paint refresh. It gives you a clue as to how the hotel is being maintained. When you step inside it smells like mildew and cleaners. However it looks good. That continues until you enter the elevators, hallway and rooms. Those show wear and poor repairs. Tattered carpet squares rubbed wallpaper and moldy grouted tubs. The removal and repair of wall damage covered by paint that isn't quite smooth and doesn't quite match lets you know why the price is where it is. Again the daily housekeeping looks otherwise good. The only caveat is smell. You can always smell the last few occupants. Please clean carpets and curtains more often. That's all I'm saying. Finally. I registered for the $50 card promo. When I called because I didn't receive it, customer service just says they sent it and it shows delivered. However they could not provide a tracking number or date. I have USPS informed delivery so I can see my mail images and I don't show it. Of course they can't cancel and resend it either. Disappointed. Back to Hampton.

Dirt daubers are a big problem here. They make their nests inside the roofs above the boats which creates a big mess on the boats. We had to spend about 30 minutes cleaning our boat before taking it out on Watts Bar Lake to have fun. Thanks to the Cookout next door you will constantly hear "can I take your oder". Also I learned that people love to rev their engines very loudly in the Cookout parking lot at all hours of the night. They have a little covered parking area by the office for motorcycles or Mustang bros, whoever gets there first. The ice machine and laundry are a couple doors down from the office. The ice scoop was dirty and disgusting. I don't think it's ever been cleaned. I went and got my own from my room. I would not stay here again.
