Of course things have changed A LOT in the last few decades and what stands there now is a fun, clean, and accommodating playground that's enjoyed by those in the neighborhood. The park area is nestled in between like three different subdivisions, but we're lucky that the entrance pathway is accessible from our side of the neighborhood. Otherwise, you can enter through the field on the opposing side, but for those with a stroller in tow that's not entirely ideal. Aside from the playground, the park has a batting cage which is used for plenty baseball games and of course a very large grassy field. Perfect for letting the little ones run around and burn some energy! I've seen folks bring soccer balls, frisbees, and kites here as well. The playground has two seperate areas... one geared towards little ones and one side for older kids. My boys are 4 and 2 and can honestly safely enjoy the entire playground though which is nice (no scary rock walls or super high up slides they need to steer clear of). There are plenty of things to climb on, 4 different slides, swings, monkey bars, and a fun spinning cage things my boys love. I really enjoy that the park has a couple picnic tables under a pavillion. Super comfortable if you're watching the kids or if everyone's enjoying a snack. There are a handful of mature trees as well, so bringing a blanket for a picnic is always a fun options for the kiddos too!

It was a pretty hot day, but one of the nicest things is that the park is primarily in the shade. There are two main playgrounds right next to each other. There is also a baseball field, soccer field, dog park, picnic table/pavilion area, and more! The entire park is really quite large. We were just at the two parks which were perfect for the kids (ages 1.5 and 4).

Volleyball net and baseball diamond. The playgrounds are perfect for toddlers and big kids alike. There is a sand pit with a place to wash feet and hands off with water. As a mom of little ones there is always the quest to find a great park to appease all parties…read more Winding Creek Park is one of the best out there for young, really young and some middle aged parents. ;) For the wee ones the park boasts two baby swings, a smaller playset that crawlers can navigate with help, a calm sounding babbling creek, lots of clean, fluffy grass to spread a blanket on and gaze at the clouds and a path that is stroller friendly. For the elementary set there is a bigger play area with lots of spinning things(you literally, sit, stand or hang off these contraptions and spin at high speed. $50 you will take turns with your kid!), swings, a super tall slide and lots of things to climb, swing, jump, hang, slide on. The park has two baseball diamonds and the creek is pretty enough to peak creative play and maybe get a little muddy. For the adults there are plenty of benches, a picnic table under shelter, a private parking lot, no sand AND a potty! A Port-o-potty of course but in a pinch it works. One worthy note is that WCP is on the Park Districts short list of parks to rent. They put quite a chunk of change into it with the added bike path, brick paved parking lot and covered picnic area. That fact alone makes it one of the area's best parks! WCP was renovated with the new playsets a few years back and has quickly become a favorite meeting spot for playgroups from the area and from other suburbs(mom's network at play for that). So pack a picnic, bring some balls and enjoy one of the best parks out there!

Earlier this year I had decided to bring my nephew to the playground here to play for a little while before celebrating the reopening of Banana Split for the season. Clearly the place has changed since I was a kid, with the playground being fairly new, but it stil-- in many ways--remains the same; it's small, very much a neighborhood type of park, not a city-wide mecca like Phillips Park, and very basic, with only a small playground, a few courts for basketball and tennis, and a nice expanse of open green lawn for running around or sitting in the sun. Again, it's not really like Phillips Park, which attracts people from all around Aurora and has a large property with many features, and is even smaller than the little play areas around Waubonsie Lake; and unlike Waubonsie Lake, there isn't a path for running, jogging, walking, or riding. However, it is perfect for someone who is near to it and is looking for a small, safe area for a little one to play in. I've been here four or five times this year since the spring with my nephew(s), and it's actually become one of my favorite little spots to take my nephew, fulfilling EXACTLY what I'm looking for. A small park with a small playground where my nephew has plenty of space to play and I only have a small area that I need to monitor. Parking is pretty easy, if not a little confusing at first; if you're coming off of Sheffer Road then turn left onto Sheridan and you'll find the little access road to the parking; if you're coming from Church Street then merge onto Sheridan, and if you're coming from Forest Street then it'll be right in front of you when you get to Sheridan. I can also say that the property is well maintained and very out-in-the-open so it feels very open and safe. I also have to say that having Banana Split right across the street is a pretty great selling point and makes the park more attractive. So if you're close by and need a great place for your little ones to run around and play, give this place a try, you may be pleasantly surprised by how much you like it; and if you don't enjoy your experience, you'll at least be able to salvage what's left of your excursion with a nice cold treat from across the street.

There were sculptures all along the walking path. This gave us something to look at and discuss as we walked. In addition to the walking path, there is a playground, tennis court, and skate park at this park. There is also a veteran's memorial at the center of the park. For a variety of things to do, I highly recommend Mount Saint Mary Park.

The Seven Bridges park has a large playground and swings...suitable for many ages. There is a short walking path, basketball court, tennis court, and a covered area with picnic tables. This park is in a neighborhood so there is no parking lot but you can park on the street. This park does not have a bathroom so you can't stay too long. Overall- great place to pack a lunch and play outside on a beautiful day!!

There's something for everyone: trails, basketball and volleyball courts, a large covered picnic area, other picnic tables under the trees, and of course the building with information about the park's history (hand-crank the machine then press a button to hear a local, including long-time Naperville Mayor George Pradel, talk about their memories of the park) & the types of wildlife that can be found here (I saw a red-bellied woodpecker!) Definitely a place to check out on a nice day in Naperville!
