The attendant at the walk the plank worker mumbled something about "a piece missing from the taller one" after saying it was open and then checking. If you're understaffed wouldn't it make more sense to cycle the zipline crew to the closed ones so the paying customers can get what they paid for and go on everything? I spoke to the director in detail as well, and asked if she could speak to the girls and see what's going on. Kids need to learn compassion and be inclusive, and it should be the counselor and directors job to make sure all the kids are happy. She did absolutely nothing. It was very upsetting that I paid so much money for this camp, but the admin didnt care about the kids at all. I also sent multiple messages and left voicemails, and Never got a response about this. My kids will never go back to this camp again.

An added bonus is that they offer the day camp right next door so they attend daycare during the year and then head to camp in the summer. Can't recommend highly enough!

Chesterbrook Academy - Newtown Square has been the worst childcare experience of my 13 years as a mom. In our experience, the environment was cold, harsh, and deeply unsettling. When children are sad or crying, they are placed in a so-called "cuddle corner" and intentionally ignored--no one is allowed to speak to or comfort them until they stop crying. Teachers follow a strict "no response" approach, meaning kids who are screaming, throwing, or clearly distressed are simply ignored. The level of rudeness, judgment, and lack of warmth from staff has honestly left me bewildered. My child came home crying many days, saying the teachers yelled at them--and I personally witnessed teachers yelling at children right in front of me. Leaving your child in someone else's care is already incredibly hard. You expect compassion, patience, and basic emotional safety. That was not our experience here. I can't speak to other Chesterbrook locations, but Chesterbrook Academy in Newtown Square is one I would strongly urge parents to avoid. If sharing this helps even one child have a safer, more loving experience elsewhere, it's worth it
