They engraved my dog's collar same day, did beautiful work, and charged me hardly anything!

Tanya took the time to understand what I needed and helped me choose the perfect options within my budget. So happy with the end result!

On Tuesday, I had a last-minute request when I walked in the door. One of our employees was…read moreretiring, with his last day set for Friday. I met with Lee Ann Martinez in the showroom and asked if they could create a plaque by then. Instead of turning me away with a laugh, she told me to wait while she spoke with their engraver. A few moments later, she returned with an alternative suggestion since an engraved plaque wouldn't be possible in such a short time. She offered a printed plaque using our company logo, showing me a few samples. I chose a gold overlay with a redwood base. She asked me to email her the logo and the text for the plaque, and she would send me a quote. I quickly returned to the office and sent the information. By Wednesday, she contacted me with the invoice, which I paid immediately given the tight timeline. At the time, I didn't realize that another email had come in with a proof for me to review. On Thursday at 2 PM, she sent a follow-up asking me to approve the proof, and that's when I realized I had missed her email in my overflowing inbox! I immediately reviewed and approved it, but I was worried it wouldn't be finished in time, especially since it was my fault for the delay. She assured me they'd notify me when it was ready. Less than 24 hours later, by 11:30 AM the next day, the plaque was ready--and it looked amazing! Our retiree was thrilled with it. I'll definitely be using Crown Trophy again soon. They have a huge selection for any occasion! I'm in a fantasy league and saw some great trophies, medals, and plaques that would make perfect prizes! Thanks again, Lee Ann!

    Alpine Trophies

    Alpine Trophies

I grew up in Littleton, right down the street from Alpine Trophies on Broadway and Ridge. As a…read morekid, everyone I knew got trophies from Alpine. My sister and I were both athletes and both of my parents were coaches so we gathered a lot of metal-looking plastic trophies from Alpine. Because of that, I returned to Alpine when I needed things engraved, trophies, plaques, etc., over the years. I called them 3 weeks ago and asked if they had some military coins I needed for a military function. They said "No." I asked if they could engrave coins (I wanted 3 initials on each coin and I was going to have 30 coins) if I got them from somewhere else. They said "yes" and told me to bring them in. So...I took 30 coins in today. I presented one to the very stoic and rather unwelcoming gal at the desk. She didnt stand up but did put her paperwork down. She looked at the coin and said "That will be $25." They wanted $25 per coin!!!!! In as calm a manner as I had come in, I said "Wow...$25. I feel like that is asking a lot for 3 initials." She said "I can ask my manager." She stood up, walked less than 15 feet to some guy who was also sitting behind a computer in the same room (also right in front of me, so obviously he saw and heard the entire situation) and handed him the coin. He didnt have to ask her any questions about what I wanted because he was, in fact, close enough that he had heard and seen the whole thing. He looked at it and said "Yup, $25 each." I asked if he could do any less per coin, especially because I had 30 of them. He said "The best I can do is $15 a piece." I guess I was still shocked, especially since I had been patronizing them for most of my life but I stayed quiet, and contemplated the $10 discount. That then led me to contemplate why they had originally charged me $25 per coin if they were actually ok doing it for $15...???? So....I gathered my things, and turned around to leave. First, if an engraving business is going to charge their customers $25 for 3 initials or if they have some sort of minimum charge, they should have told me that when I called in the first place. Second, if two people are sitting behind practically the same desk (15 feet apart both in the same customer service area), and both people hear and see a customer service issue, and one of them is a manager, how weird is it that the manager sat solidly (and also stoically) behind his desk until the other gal approached him. I left very confused at the extraordinary lack of management (or maybe the guy behind the desk wasnt actually a manager or maybe he just never got trained?), the cold and stoic disposition of both people and the rather absurd pricing. Even at $15 a coin for three initials (and that didnt include tax), thats $5 per initial. And although "an offer" I still cant get over the fact that they were ok charging me $25 or $15 for the same item...? I left and went to Crown Trophies which is just north on Broadway from Alpine on Broadway and Littleton Blvd. Within seconds the very friendly gal at the desk stood up, looked at the coins, and offered me multiple options...the most expensive of which was $10 per coin. Now I wonder if Alpine has been charging me "extra" all these years. I also wonder how they stay in business with the 2 folks they had manning the shop today. Im not saying dont patronize Alpine. Im just saying call Crown and get a second opinion. And, based on other reviews, maybe just always plan to take your military challenge coins anywhere else.

Trish, Lee Ann, and Kevin were extremely helpful and answered all my questions. They had a proof ready for me to review within 24 hours and the sign was ready the morning after. Highly recommended - I'll definitely be back!
