Great falafel and Sabich. Feels like the beach in Tel Aviv or downtown Jerusalem. Great service and lovely people.

Fantastic food, lovely people. I took my daughter and she said if she lived closer she would eat there every day.

I grew up on Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food. So while on a road trip with my boyfriend, we…read moreexcitedly pulled off the highway when we saw Istanbul Grill. In short: Tasty, but extremely small portions. Got the chicken shish kebab and also a garden salad with feta. Feta was an extra $4. Fresh but more of a large side-salad than a full salad. The chicken kebab lunch is listed in the menu as "kebabs" with rice, but there were only 4 pieces of chicken and about a 1/3 cup of rice. :( split with my boyfriend and we were like, "Well--that was a tasty snack." I felt obliged to let him eat 3 of the pieces so at least one of us had a semblance of a full meal. Not generous portions by any stretch for $30. Friendly staff and lovely decor. Definitely would not return though. I'm actually now irritated because the people next to us just got enormous portions. Wtf?

I ordered the chicken kabab and my husband had the lamb shank. For dessert, we ordered the oven baked rice pudding. It is served cold, however. This is a must visit when you're in town! They also sell other Turkish products like coffee, teas, doganay (spicy, fermented carrot juice), assortment of juices and Turkish delight. Thank you so much for sharing your wondering food with us.

This is both a market where you can purchase Middle Eastern products such as olive oil, snacks, numerous types of dates, yogurts, etc. However, they also cook some amazingly tasty dishes that you can take home with you or eat in the store. Keep in mind, they only have about four tables if you want to dine at the store. The two guys who run the place are as nice as you'll find anywhere and explained what was in several of the dishes. I had the Shakshuka and Chicken Shawarma. I was blown away by how good the Chicken Shawarma tasted. Definitely the best I've had in NEPA. The Shakshuka was fantastic and it came with an entire bag Taboon Bread that was nice and warm. I ended up taking most of the bread home and will eat it with dinner tonight. I intend to try everything on this menu eventually and the next dish is definitely going to be Kabsa. Oh, and the also make cheesesteaks which at first I thought was strange for a mid-east restaurant but so many people have told me that they are one of the best they've ever tasted.

Amazing food and amazing place the food is the best I would definitely recommend and go backread more

Writing…read morethis review gives me a nostalgic joy :) Except the shabby parking spots that are tough to maneuver during winter months, they don't have any other cons. This itself says so much about the restaurant. Food is consistently good, staff (including the owner) take the time to greet the customers & make them feel comfortable and service is very quick (Less than 20 minutes) My favorites were and still are falafel and mamoul cookies. In fact, I tried mamoul for the very first time here and got instantly addicted. They're shortbread cookies (made with a special impression) filled with either dates or fig paste. Not overly sweet and made with the right consistency, I highly recommend them. Prices are fair and although they have a dine-in area, last I checked, they allow only takeout. And, their timings are suitable for lunch and early dinner, so plan accordingly.

The baba ghanouj is bangin'; that's the first place I ever tried it but anything I've had since then, just doesn't cut it. The baba ghanouj is light and fresh, unlike store-bought brands that can sometimes taste metallic or bitter. Add the meat pie for a well-seasoned update on the pasty we grew up with (apparently the Cornish pasty is a protected food in the EU, like champagne or asiago, who knew).
