If you want luxury, pampering and fitness - then this is your place. The spa and health club are never packed full and on numerous occasions I have had the swimming pool to myself. The pool is 1.4m deep and approximately 15 x 10 metres. There is a chill out area surrounding the pool, along with a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The gym offers a good range of equipment, including two running machines, three cross trainers, four bikes, one rowing machine, two weights machines and more. There is also a weights room for those wanting to focus! After exercising, the changing rooms have powerful hot showers with Gilchrist and Soames shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Also great hairdressers and straightners for the ladies! Want some pampering? There are various packages - a day or couple of hours etc. Facials and massages tried and tested - and I would highly recommend them. If you go for the Premier club (gym, pool, sauna etc) membership you get a complimentary spa treatments per month - so cool! Lush green apples are beautifully displayed for you to munch on after exercising or your pampering session and two choices of newspapers to read as you chill out. I was a little early for my 1pm appointment anyway and as she explained the mix up, she stated that a masseuse would be available in 30 minutes, appologised, and said that she'd only charge me for the 30 minute price as appose to the 55 minute price I'd book and was going to receive. Now I mean everyone likes freebies yes but I think this type of customer service, where they admit they were at fault and make amends by doing something to offset them inconveniencing you is lost nowadays and a lot of the time you're made to feel like you're the one at fault. Having worked in the customer service field I get how important it is but also how easy it is to forget about it and think 'why does it matter' well this review proves it does with a 4 star rating! On this visit I had a 55 minutes Deep-Tissue massage due to my increasingly fragile muscles (too much football) and I left feeling great. Deep-Tissue massages can be a little different and less relaxing as they are digging into you a little more but I did feel surprisingly supple afterwards! Normal price for this massage would be £50 and I highly recommend it - just don't book online ;)

For the last birthday, we learnt how to make sushi at Samsi in Spinningfields which was hilarious! My mum had never had a facial either and I didn't know if she'd ever had her nails done, so I booked us in for a mini facial (you pick two areas yourself) and a polish and preen manicure each. Upon arrival, you will smell delightful incense and be seated in very comfy chairs... We had to wait in turn for the facial as we chose the micro dermal diamond facial - there is only one machine for this. Boy was it worth it though! I was even advised upon asking the nail technician that this was the best one to choose. I was nervous at first but the calming music that carries throughout the building and the confident person doing the facial, explaining everything each step of the way, is more than enough to help you relax! He explained that he would be cleansing the skin first, then applied a rough scrub to my face, and notified me he would be turning on the machine and not to be alarmed. ...Machine?! Oh you mean the quiet whirring of the box next to you with the tiny suction wand? Oh it's like it sandblasts my skin? It felt like a tiny little suction tip moving across my T-Zone! Amazing! And if you hadn't had enough of the revelation of your skin feeling like it can actually breath afterwards, wait until he shows you the container of dirt that's been sucked out of your pores! Ewwww!! But so good to see and feel how much clearer your skin is :) I went back through to have my nails done whilst my mum went in - the guy doing the facials was great and gave us all the advice we needed - you can have these facials every 11 days if you're trying to target an area of blackheads - I totally need to do this... The girl doing my nails was lovely, advised me on a colour because I was so indecisive and the bright blue looks lovely on :) If you're in need of a nails scrub up like we were, the preen and polish is definitely for you! Cuticles treated, trimmed if need be, nails polished, filed and lacquers of polish. 3 days later and they still look good :) I will definitely be back for more facials! And there's lots of little things that give the edge on the competition. 1. At least three therapists on shift so generally, there's no problems booking. 2. Plenty of rooms so generally, there's never any waiting time. 3. All the rooms are slightly different but there are some common themes. a. Spacious but never cold. b. Traditional Thai spa massage tables/boules. c. A shower in the room to save traipsing through corridors. d. Cotton sheets, not paper towels. 4. When I ask for green tea, it's served in a glass teapot so there's plenty to last the session. And the massage itself? I need a strong, stretching massage to loosen up aching limbs and when it's good here, it's very good. And it's very good a lot of the time. I can't recommend them highly enough, and in particular the manager, Mee, for running a tight ship.

I've been back many times and now make it a 90 minutes session, sometimes with oil and sometimes not. It always gets the knots out, it's always warm and clean and the staff are always great at what they do.

Every time I visited in there and I had a different therapist I was very pleased. And the members of the staff are polite and they give you even samples after your facial. Also in the couples package you will get a lunch and you can wait in the chill out room which it has been made an effort to make you feel that you travel away in a nice serene environment. It has a beautiful setting with calming music with comforatble sun type loungers chairs and unlimited cup of herbal teas that you can help yourself. I have also tried Elemis facials which I liked them a lot. And the Spa bathrooms are pure luxury. Also if you want to visit Lowry's restaurant they have nice menu offers and a very welcoming manager. I pay attention the members of the staff to be polite and this is the place that you will not feel disappointing.

A 50 minute instead of a 60 minute massage which was rushed, jerky and NOT good. The therapist kept yawning and watching the clock and seemed unbothered that the massage was poor! The hot towel treatment was a luke warm towel placed over my face before having my temples scrubbed and then the same towel used to wash the oil off my arms and chest' The treatment room was dirty and felt like a closet. No 'mood setting' at all!!! Awful place, waste of money! Not relaxing in the slightest - Much better places around!
