Sienna Spa is the Spa and Health Club found within the Radisson Edwardian, Manchester. Built on the…read moresite of historic barrel vaults, this inner sanctuary has a sense or calm and stillness far removed from busy city life. If you want luxury, pampering and fitness - then this is your place. The spa and health club are never packed full and on numerous occasions I have had the swimming pool to myself. The pool is 1.4m deep and approximately 15 x 10 metres. There is a chill out area surrounding the pool, along with a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The gym offers a good range of equipment, including two running machines, three cross trainers, four bikes, one rowing machine, two weights machines and more. There is also a weights room for those wanting to focus! After exercising, the changing rooms have powerful hot showers with Gilchrist and Soames shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Also great hairdressers and straightners for the ladies! Want some pampering? There are various packages - a day or couple of hours etc. Facials and massages tried and tested - and I would highly recommend them. If you go for the Premier club (gym, pool, sauna etc) membership you get a complimentary spa treatments per month - so cool! Lush green apples are beautifully displayed for you to munch on after exercising or your pampering session and two choices of newspapers to read as you chill out. Cost wise - pretty good value for what you get. Love it love it!

I was looking to get my nails done for a wedding so I relied on Essential Spa to sort me out a day…read morebefore. I'm really bad for the last minute job but here's hoping it was to do the trick. A £25 manicure should not disappoint. 45 minutes later my nails appeared preened and organically treated. Organically treated? Never heard of that before but score I guess. Me and my nails were ready to impress. I had a nosy at what else was on offer here, a lot. Tranquility scalp massage? anti-cellulite treatment? deep tissue hot stone massage? There's a few alternative treatments on offer as well as the St Tropex tanning, waxing and various facial delights. The problem with salons affiliated with gyms is apparent with this place. For the full 45 minutes I was subject to gym goers flowing through and out. She sat me right by the entrance. Just because I aren't getting a massage or whatever I still deserved some bit of privacy. Marks down for that.

Essential Spa" Beauty Salon in L.A. Fitness in Manchester is an experience to avoid at all costs…read more Caroline Tinker (owner and Manager of "Essential Spa") is rude and un cooperative. When her customers try to reason with her she acts patronising and she has a boorish behaviour. Hell hath no fury when a client turns up a bit late on her Beauty Salon you will come across the most vulgar behaviour I have ever encountered in a person. And from what I heard on my way out from one of the member of the staff in there, even she did not get the full 45minute facial as advertised nor the full 30 minute back massage. And if it happens you are not a white British then you will have Caroline Tinker (Owner of "Essential Spa") to gesticulate and to spell out each word. It does not matter that you tell her that you speak fluent English, and you hold down a Professional job, still the colour of your skin and accent makes Caroline Tinker to spell out each word like you are a child. Awful experience I had with this Beauty salon.
