My facial with Terril was very relaxing. We went into the treatment room and discuss what my concerns were with my skin and what I was hoping to get out of my appointment. Terril was very attentive, asking questions along the way. One thing I really liked was that the table was heated because I've been having some issues with my back that make it uncomfortable to lay down so having that heated surface under my back made my appointment even more relaxing. My skin felt amazing when she was done, even though she had to do a few extractions. I was so pleased that I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for a few months out so that my skin will be able to recover from the upcoming summer months. I was in constant pain all day long, and no amount of ice, Epsom salt baths, Tylenol, heating pads or chiropractic adjustments was making a difference. In desperation, I booked a last minute appointment with Jeff. I knew that he has a deep understanding of anatomy and kinesiology and thus, I trusted him to not make my pain worse (though I was skeptical that it would get any better, since nothing else was helping). Jeff's massage was like nothing I'd ever experienced before! I've gotten wonderful Swedish massages from Jeff in the past, but this structural work was much more than simply rubbing sore muscles. All of the work was done clothed and most of it was seated, rather than laying down. He confidently assessed the problem areas and provided treatment that was intense, yes, but very intuitive and individualized. I was sore for a few days after but am now pain-free! Jeff truly cares about his clients wellbeing and will easily make you feel safe and comfortable. About halfway through our treatment, I started tensing out of pain and guarding my muscles, making it difficult for Jeff to do the work I needed. Instead of shaming me for this, or saying the rote "just relax", Jeff calmly laid his hand on my shoulder and simply said "I'm here to help, not hurt." This kind reassurance allowed the work to continue and gave me a mantra to breathe through the difficult moments.
