If I could zero stars, I would. Dr Farbstein's office is incompetent. First to start off, Dr Farbstein is nice and gave good suggestions on what my issue was. However, I ended up having to wait over 2.5 hours past my appointment time to see him - completely ridiculous. This office called to verify insurance was in network and co-payment. On appointment date, I paid the co-pay as expected. A month later, I receive a bill in the mail. I contacted my insurance company because I was expecting insurance to cover it all. It turns out that the office has submitted claim under a different NPI than what shows as in network (and what was used to verbally verify my insurance), which is why I was getting a bill, as it was out of network. I have spoken to 4 different people in the medical billing office that he outsources to, the 5 different times I have called. They confirmed they are getting multiple calls regarding the billing for this dr. I provided the NPI that is on the insurance company website that shows as in network. I called and spoke to someone in his office that said they were an escalation and they would review. I sent an email with all the details, correct NPI number, screenshot of what the insurance company said, and still, going on 6 months of continuous bills sent to my residence and now a weekly notification on my phone. For 6 months I have tried and tried to get to a nonweldable employee to address the issue with no resolution. Save yourself the extra time from waiting in the waiting room and then dealing with the billing nightmare - go see someone else! read more
