Took my car here after an accident as it was the preferred body shop for my insurer, the RAC. Picked the car up and discovered that the replacement skirt had been fixed to the bumper incorrectly. So bad that it was bulging out at the front and obviously wrong. They had also replaced a wing however there assessment of the damage to the car was clearly wrong as none of the gaps around the bonnet, wing, head lights, front grill and window pillars was correct. When I phoned the manager he went straight on the defensive, suggesting the issue wasn't with the side of the car that had been damaged, he seemed to forget that replacing a bumper involves both sides of the car. I took it back in and they fixed the skirt, it was apparent that there was no quality control even if the repair certificate says there is! The bodyshop manager came up with pathetic excuses as to why the gaps were wrong and suggested that because a wing had previously been replaced that this May be the reason that all the gaps were now wrong. He stated he would get the shop to look at it. All they did was move the headlights about until the gap was slightly better around them. It was clear that the bonnet had been deformed in the accident and not picked up by there assessor. The manager wasn't interested in hearing this. I also noticed that the sound deadening material was missing from the bonnet. The manager denied that it had been removed by them....who else would have done it??. Anyway, do yourself a favour don't go here it seems they assess damage so the repairs are just under the point where the insurer would write the car off. They don't get paid if they aren't doing any work on your car remember. Just a shame the work they do is so poor and clearly goes unchecked. read more
