I took my 2006 50cc Polaris for a carb job. I was quoted at about $120, which I thought was reasonable. When I was called to pick up my quad the bill was over $300. I was never called for an update to do any further work, I was just expected to pay the bill. We (they) came to an agreement that they would undo whatever problem they said they fixed, and only charge me for the carburetor work. Avoid this place or at least shop around before having them fix whatever motorcycle you have. I'll update tomorrow to let everyone know what they broke on my quad so I can go pay someone else more money to fix. Bottom line don't let them rip you off read more

If you love to ride and care about your bike, stay clear of Arney's Garage or a more appropriately named (Arney's "Storage" Garage). Brought my bike in to have the top end re-done; on their (walk in Saturday). I was checked in by Arney himself... and he told me it would be ($82 dollars to see if my bike was "worth anything.") I wasn't too happy about that comment. Long story short.... they called to tell me what I already knew (not firing on one cylinder.) Bill the mechanic said it would be 10 hours to tear the engine down and would take two weeks. I thought that was a bit excessive, but still agreed. 3 weeks had gone by (still haven't heard one word about the status of my bike) when I finally called to check on the status, I was told they haven't even touched it, i knew right then and there this place was a joke, I told them never mind repairing it, I'm on my way to pick up my bike. When I arrived they gladly charged me $82 dollars for WASTING MY TIME AND STORING my bike. The girl at the front desk had no idea what was going on and when she ask which bike was in question, Bill the only mechanic in the shop said (it's that "carcass" over there). I love to ride and just because my bike isn't brand new doesn't mean you can degrade it. So much for their so called "passion for motorcycles and great customer service." I thought I was going to receive according to their website anyways. I have a suggestion for Arney's STORAGE Garage: Hire mechanics, you need more than one. Stop your so called "walk in Saturday's," and repair all the bikes you already have in your shop..... there's a lot of people waiting to ride their bikes; we haven't lost our passion for motorcycles. Be up front with your customers, and keep them in the loop with the status of their bike, if your little shop can't handle the repairs don't waste people's time and money!!! read more

A local shop damaged my bike's brakes during a tire change; attempted to find and repair the problem then they gave up. So I took it to Arney's Garage, they found the problem quickly, ordered the part, got the bike running great and me back riding safely. Used Arney's after damaging Red Rocket within first month of riding, while out on Montezuma Valley, Borrego Springs. Arney's ordered only the parts needed and labor was about what the towing company charged to move the bike 20 miles. Other repairs include: crack I caused to engine case, SUV backing up and knocking over, maintenance, or to redo other shops work. If only I had a way to transport bikes from Corona... Do not take your bike here. They told me that the carbs needed to be rebuilt to solve the problem. They charged me over $500 bucks to rebuild the carbs. Four rides later, the bike was running like shit, so I took it back to them. Chris, the shop "manager", did everything he could NOT to help me and resolve the problem. After 30 minutes of pleading with him, he finally agreed to have a look at it. After making some adjustments to the carbs, he tells me that the carbs need to be replaced and there is nothing he can do about the $500 bucks that I spent for the carb rebuild that they told me would resolve my problem in the first place. Now they don't even want to work on my bike any longer. The ironic thing is that the owner has a bike like mine, so I thought they knew what they were doing. I guess when he needs some work to be done on his bike, he takes it to someone that knows what they are doing. The best, most trustworthy motorcycle repair shop in town!!! Trust is everything to me. I have an old bike that I dearly love, I only ride it for short trips, keep the mileage low, but after sitting for awhile it began to sputter & die, would only run with choke on, & Lucas fuel treatment did not correct it. I will never go back to the local Harley dealer, if I can help it, 1 up-selling rip off was more than enough. I kept calling another garage, but he kept telling me he was short staffed & call back in a few days. I wanted desperately to go back to an annual ride I attend. Please Beware Stay away from this shop. I took my bike in here for the first time it was overheating and leaking coolant from the water pump. Arney/James owner said he ordered the parts 2 weeks go by I call him he says he had to order a water pump ok well that's great I never received a call asking or letting me know he was going to order a new water pump So yea this guy will put time in and order parts and then you get a surprise bill without any communication on what he did until you want the bike. He replaced the water pump when I picked up the bike I have a $500 bill he said he changed all the fluids including an oil change I get the bike home ran the bike it blew a crap ton of smoke out the exhaust like never before. Oh did I mention the bike never smoked period before taking in to this shop. My buddies were present that have years of motorcycle experience and said check the oil I looked at the dipstick and it was bone dry. I further decided to see if I pull the drain plug what would I find well what do you know I was only getting less than a quart from this bike fully drained. Truly the bike had not even been ridden since I picked it up. So the dumbass charged me for 2 quarts of oil but somehow I only got less than a quart drained from the bike. They claim they would not have made that mistake and have no desire to make this right in any way except blame it on the fact it's an older bike. PLEASE DO YOURSELF THE BIGGEST FAVOR FOR YOURSELF AND AVOID THIS PLACE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED I Know much more about this shop that could really scare you to death!!! CARE ENOUGH ABOUT YOUR BIKE AND WHERE YOU GIVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TRUST!!! THey do not deserve even one star....... read more

This guy Arney runs his shop old school. Some people might not like it, but I do. I originally took my DRZ to another local moto shop that needed the top end rebuilt and it was not what I would have expected for something that costed so much. After shelling out a lot of money at the other shop, I came home to go through some things to find a handful of bolts missing, hoses disconnected, a half seated drain bolt, and other fun things. I didn't have the time to do a once over myself and this is my first carb'd bike so I took it to Arney's to see what he thought. He reconnected hanging hoses/tubes, replaced missing bolts, and did a once over to make sure everything was torqued to spec. His pricing is super reasonable and I don't think there's anybody better in the Valley. 5/5 would braap braap again. read more

I was in need of a new tire and not as mechanically inclined as I was eager to resume improving my skills as a rider. So, when I found Arney's Motorcycle Garage I jumped on the opportunity to get my front tire changed by a specialist. I gave them a call and had a Pirelli Diablo Rosso II delivered next-day for my Kawasaki Ninja 300. I had planned on coming in yesterday but got called into work. Thankfully, "the boss" told me it would be ok to come in another time. I managed to get myself over to the garage a few days sooner than we had planned and James "Arney" saw and helped me right away. While waiting, I took a gander at and was impressed by the supplies they had in stock. If I wasn't so eager I would have stayed and utilized the rider recourses they had up front. Thanks so much for the fantastic service!! I was coming home from a long ride and the check engine light came on--I have a 2008 FLSTC with 81K. Anyway, it was rideable, so we rode it to the garage, I know-a no no, and Arnie came out and gave us 30 minutes of his time just going over the bike...and I did have that many problems. After a two weeks and a full service, stator, rebuilt starer, tires, etc, we thought we were ready to roll, but a weird sound came up. Arnie put a new battery in my bike ( I still owe him for that-calling today) and told me to ride a few hundred miles to it to see if that solved it. I just rolled in from Vegas with 100+ degree heat and it works great! Arnie rides hard himself and so when I told him we were riding to Canada, he made sure to put in a few extras no cost. Highly recommend this shop. Less expensive than the dealer, but more importantly, they won't stop your service when the bike leaves the shop if your bike is not safe and riding clean---they won't leave you in a bind. They fit me in and got me out of there, which was a good thing seeing that heat warning was in effect and 115 degree was forecasted for the day. read more
