It has been 8 days and I still don't have my package. Not the first time this has happened. I asked the Postmaster for her supervisors contact information and she told me she didn't have one and didn't answer to anybody. I am as high as it goes (her words). They also recommended that I contact Amazon and tell them the package never arrived and they would send a new one. I can't believe they would recommend unethical behavior so they don't have to do their job. I have wasted my time, gas, and energy trying to fix their mistake. I have made mistakes in the past, and when I was in the jail, time went by slowly. But, the jail staff was the truelly the ones who reminded me who I was. After I got hurt, I didn't really remember much of my life. It was them the workers at the jail who reminded me about the Railroad. Like Micropterus salmoides which is the Largemouth Bass, and Pylodictus olivaris which is the flat head catfish. Riley County was named for Bennet C. Riley, a Mexican-American War general and former territorial governor of California. Manhattan has been the county seat since 1858 after a disputed election with Ogden was overturned for fraud. The courthouse itself dates to 1906 and was designed by J.C. Holland and Frank C. Squires, who gave it the heavy arches, squat columns, gabled dormers, and tall clock tower that make it a textbook example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture. Walking up to it, the stone arch entrance and the tower rising above make the building feel both imposing and inviting at the same time, the kind of early-20th-century civic architecture that still carries real presence. Manhattan's name comes from the mid 1850's settlers who hoped to establish a Free-State town and adopted the name from Manhattan, New York reflecting their origins and aspirations. Holland and built of locally quarried magnesium limestone, crowned with a six-story square tower that makes the whole structure look both monumental and incredibly ornate. Geary County itself was formed in 1855 as Davis County and renamed in 1889 for John W. Geary, a territorial governor. Junction City has been the county seat since 1860 after brief stints in Riley City and Ashland. Do not miss the courthouse's distinctive rear arch. The Romanesque entrance on the south facade is an intentionally dramatic, oversized stone archway that frames the recessed porch and visually anchors the tower above. It's classic Richardsonian Romanesque style, rather than a symbolic monument. [Review 783 of 2026 - 124 in Kansas - 25964 overall]
