I've experienced both of these components separately at different times in my life and am finding Ric's unique blend of the two modalities produces results superior to either one alone. On the life coaching side, I have found Ric to be well equipped with tools and techniques that have helped me explore and develop valuable habits related to time management/planning and goal-directed thinking. And when I have inevitably hit roadblocks along the way Ric has masterfully facilitated grounded 'counseling-type' processes that have co-created with me the space for me to look at, and in many cases move through, the blocks that were halting my progress. Starting a career in a new field with zero experience is one of the most stressful experiences I've…read morehad. While, I was certain I had the skills, most employers overlook resumes of applicants such as myself who don't have "x years of experience" in a given position. I fancy myself a talented writer and have always thought myself a solid resume writerI started like most people do, revising my resume to the best of my ability using resource sites I found online with sample resumes. There are MANY suggestions, but I found there really is no definitive consensus for what is going to catch an employers eye. Ignoring the warnings, I pushed forward submitting the resume I wrote in hopes of landing a job that will get me the position I need to build a successful resume. The response to my self-written resume was dissappointing to say the least. With flexibility in my personal life, I submitted resumes to at least 15 different companies in 3 cities and received ZERO responses. Not even one. That's extraordinarily discouraging for someone who feels they just need to get into the room to land just a temp or contract position. I was brought close to tears at the thought of some of the reports I read of people finding introductory level positions in my field after 1-2 years. I was unable and unwilling to wait that long so I had to change something. I couldn't get my foot in the door so I needed a resume expert. I did quite a bit of research on which company wrote the best resumes. I considered top google results, but they had, almost universally, one complaint: the writing seemed outsourced. I almost pulled the trigger on a particular option that seemed "good enough" before, while yelping, I discovered Career Magic. I liked the idea of supporting someone local. There's an added measure of confidence seeing that Tracy is based in the United States, that she brings legitimate qualifications to the table and that she offers a personalized experience. I took the plunge, shot here [Tracy] an email to get suggestions on how to move forward with the resume I had already written. She suggested we give editing by email (the entry level job seeker level) a shot, so I purchased this package and we got to work. Yes, there is some small work required on your part such as sending her sample job postings and answering questions, but this is MINIMAL compared to the benefits her work provides. After 3 or so days, I received the first draft and was blown away by the changes she had already made. My resume had entirely new formatting complete with revised sections and a comprehensive list of my own qualifications which we worked through together. We emailed back and forth several times before the final draft was completed, making changes to various items until we had a satisfactory final product. I finally got my tears, in the form of sheer joy of looking at what she had produced and the potential it might bring. In addition to my resume, I also had her compose a cover letter for a particular position that interested me which was PERFECT and thoroughly researched by Tracy. Perhaps, most importantly, she attached a .pdf called "Filling the Pipeline" which I followed to a "T." The results were darn near miraculous. I applied for 8 jobs over a 7-day period and received responses from SEVEN of the eight employers including one that I thought was the perfect position for my career. The end result was, I turned down two positions based on red flags and landed what essentially amounts to a dream entry-level position with potential for advancement. The best part? It wasn't contract, it wasn't temp to hire, it was a full time position with a very thorough interview process. It was, the most amazing feeling after going through a job-hunt roller coaster before I found Tracy. I don't write many reviews because, quite frankly, my opinion of things don't get swayed severely enough one way or the other. But this is different. This is your career and your future. If you want THAT job. Even if you just need A job. If you are stuck in a rut in your current position. No matter what field you are in or are looking to get into, I suggest you use Tracy's services. Not for her benefit, but for your own. Best of luck with your job search!

From start to finish, the experience was five stars. Katie personally reached out to follow-up with me before starting the course (after hearing from my manager I had some interest... thank you! Katie's methods are authentic and truly come from a place of compassion and professionalism. It speaks to my own values as a person and manager. She has so many great talking points and nuggets of information. (I wish Katie could live in my ear!) But alas, that's impossible, so I'll need to continue to refresh myself on the materials (so grateful for the recordings), and stay in touch with via her newsletter and LinkedIn posts.

Beyond the class, Katie has helped me elevate myself and overcome my imposter syndrome by giving me real tools that I can use every day. She was more than a career strategist, she was a true partner in every sense. She expanded my professional network strategically. She pushed me outside my comfort zone when I needed it, encouraging me to apply for roles I initially thought were beyond reach. She prepared me meticulously for every interview, practicing behavioral questions, helping me refine my positioning, and ensuring I showed up as my best self. But what meant the most to me was her unwavering belief in my potential. We prayed together before major interviews and critical decisions. She was there every step of the way, celebrating wins, troubleshooting setbacks, and reminding me of my value when I needed to hear it most. I was able to land a new role after 5 months, which is something to celebrate in this insane job market. My new role represents exactly the kind of strategic opportunity I was seeking, and I would not have gotten here without Ramsey's guidance, preparation, and steadfast support. I would recommend their services to professionals navigating a transition or re-entering a modern job search.

Beware of this company's no refund policy and one-sized fits all approach. If you go for a couple…read moreof sessions and realize that the counselor is not the right fit you don't get money back. The employees will push you into buying more services than you want or need and refuse to refund anything in the event that the services aren't working for you. I paid an egregious amount of money upfront. Be warned, any service that promises a one-size-fits all approach and demands money upfront is generally not concerned about your satisfaction. When I diplomatically asserted valid complaints to the "counselor" he used emotionally manipulative tactics like denying my experience. For example, in response to my valid concerns, he said that in all his 30 years he has never received a complaint. So that must mean I don't have a valid complaint, right? This man is clearly not a professionally trained counselor. He constantly dismisses, interrupts, and contradicts proven facts. In terms of his constant dismissal and interrupting. There is a professional code of ethics for all people that call themselves counselors and it involves treating people with respect, especially if they are in the vulnerable position of looking for a job. He does not abide by this. I felt completely demoralized every time he talked to the man. I honestly and diplomatically told him that we were not a good fit. Did he listen to my concerns? No. He pretty much told me everything was my fault, I wasn't doing my assignments (I was, in fact, I spent countless hours re-doing my own resume after the resume service he provided blatantly ignored my feedback.) Instead, he told me that he wasn't going to refund my money for the services he didn't provide (I was only asking for a partial refund for the tasks we hadn't gone over yet) because he didn't want to see me give up on myself. So, instead, out of the strength of his character, he is choosing to keep the money he didn't work for from an unsatisfied customer (who, in his mind, is unsatisfied because of their own shortcomings) who no longer wants or needs his services because he doesn't want to see me give up on myself. How noble. In terms of contradicting proven facts, he told me that data analytics professionals don't need to know code. This was in response to my question about spending less time practicing a silly branding statement in the mirror for hours each week and maybe spending more time on my Github account and developing coding skills. I know for a fact after networking with several people in the field and taking a 6-month class, that anyone currently entering the field needs at least a basic mastery of some coding languages. In tech, they don't care how you "sell yourself" with a branding statement. They want your portfolio. But it's Rex Rolph and he apparently knows everything and you, the lowly customer, know absolutely nothing. He also told me to forget about combing human resources and data because they have automatic resume scanners and that kind of thing isn't used in today's environment. However, I happen to know from my own research that People Data Analytics, is a growing field, as well as human factors engineering. In fact, I had sent him several job announcements as an example of this growing field as I was doing the tasks that I supposedly never completed. He constantly promotes the idea that if you are able to sell your "competencies" then you can transfer into any job you want with enough networking. Bad advice for someone wanting to enter the tech career field. You can introduce yourself as "analytical" to as many people as you want, but if you can't show that you have the skills, it doesn't matter. I paid for a resume write-up. The person that did the resume (contracted through Rex) actually said they didn't change the words but just redid some of the formattings. I had to spend numerous hours of my time researching data analyst job descriptions in order to translate them into bullet statements. I compiled all this information into an excel document and gave it to the resume writer to request a revision that my resume be more data analyst specific. The resume writer blatantly ignored my request and I had to rewrite my own resume myself. Again, in Rex's mind, this is my fault and not his and I am not eligible for a refund for a terrible resume service. Overall this may be a good service for someone who has skills easily transferable into the career they are getting into or for someone who is looking to get into a job that emphasizes soft skills. However, this man is entirely clueless and useless in providing helpful advice for those wanting to get into tech jobs. He also lacks knowledge about up and coming career fields. Also, much of the consumer advice out there recommend against paying money up front and I second this advice. Most honest counselors out there would have you pay as you go and would at least care that your resume didn't get the treatment it deserved.
