It was easy to place an order over the phone, and the piano took six days to be delivered. The delivery guys came with a paper that I had to sign since I paid by credit card. I was seriously interested in purchasing a Custom Shop guitar from The Twelfth Fret worth around…read more$3,000, but unfortunately, the customer service experience was extremely disappointing. I initially contacted them through their website requesting additional photos of the guitar but never received a response. I eventually called and spoke with Mike, explained that I was ready to purchase but wanted to see some additional photos first, and provided my email address. He said they never received an inquiry from me. Rather than simply taking my information and helping me with the request while I was already on the phone, Mike directed me back to the website to submit another inquiry or send another email. He came across as completely disinterested in assisting me or earning my business. I've purchased guitars and gear from Guitar Center, Sweetwater, Musician's Friend, and many other shops, and I'm accustomed to salespeople being happy to answer questions and provide additional photos--especially when someone is seriously considering a $3,000 instrument. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I've had with a guitar store. After reading some of the other reviews regarding customer service, my experience seems consistent with those concerns.

Really impressed with the rental program! Great way for people to try out an instrument (go to…read moretheir website to read about it) but this completely worked out for us. Instead of investing $800+ on a saxophone, we are renting one for $35 a month to see if my husband is actually seriously about learning to play! We can also apply the monthly rental fee and buy out the sax if he chooses to or apply the money to a different instrument! Good selection of popular sheet music too. I haven't touched the piano for 15+ years but walked out with some sheet music to play for fun. Friendly staff. Saw some cute ukuleles that we could buy our nephew/niece for xmas. Price ranges from $40 and up. Lots of colors and designs to choose from.

Long time listener, first time visitor!…read more I've heard the Long & McQuade musical instrument ads on radio for years. And Lo and behold I finally visited with the family to pickup a larger-sized violin from this location. The store has a huge assortment of different instruments including new and used in its various sections ranging from guitars to flutes to saxophones. Some instruments can be tried and we noticed a few young musicians playing the piano while waiting for their music class. Indeed this store also features a set of teaching classrooms in a back corner and many families appeared to come into the store to attend their session. Our sales rep was quite patient letting us test several different violins and answer our questions regarding the brand quality and the differences size. We were able to get a good deal during the Black Friday sale with help from the manager. Our case and bow were also checked to be of good quality. The family left impressed with the service. Skip it or hit it? Come for the reputation, stay for the service.

I was close but it seemed like the truss rod was stuck, or the bullet stripped. I looked online for shops that I could bring it to and get it fixed. A quick email to Trevor made me feel that he was the right guy. He asked the right questions, didn't pressure me and didn't come across like a music store snob. fast forward a month or so and I arrive, bass in hand and he gets to work on it. Does the whole setup. Filing, tuning etc and then he discovers that there's no sound ( I don't have an amp). He opens it up and sure enough a wire is just hanging there. Quick fix, plug it in and it's alive! He continues to check everything and at the same time telling my why he's doing it etc. In the end, he let me know that yes, the bullet is stripped, but, there was also issues with the nut, which he fixed and after redoing the set up again, the bass was sounding amazing! Trevor is a super cool, laid back guy who really cares about what he does for a living. We talked about guitars in general, as being a newbie I tend to like to ask lots of questions.
