Every other place and every other time I've had it check it's usually below the standard 120/80, but without fail EVERY time I get ready to step in that place I get a pounding headache and my blood pressure skyrockets. Make sure you have plenty of time in your day if you plan to go there because you will be waiting. I went there regarding back pain in January, but after waiting for about 45 minutes I was told I wasn't covered for the visit because my insurance had lapsed. It wasn't their fault nor was it mine, there was some error that had occurred on the insurance company's end, but EVERY other doctor I have been to throughout my LIFE the office verifies the insurance BEFORE the patient comes in, usually at least a day before so EVERYONE'S time wouldn't be wasted. So when I thought the problem had been solved, I came back again. I guess my insurance was in tact, but they assigned me to another doctor (again no ones fault except the insurance company). This time I wait well over 2 hours while Brenda, one of the office workers, calls the insurance to get the doctor changed back to Dr. Villatoro. After waiting Brenda tells me that she would have to wait 24 hours for reasons I to this day do not understand. She said she would call me the next day to let me know things had been handled. No call came to me and I decided to go down to the Dr's office. Brenda said she still couldn't get things straightened out, so I asked for the number so I could try. I called, the woman at the insurance company tells me that all they need is the Dr. Villatoro's office approval to be switched back to her as a patient. So the insurance company calls Brenda to ask if they would take me again as a patient and she says yes. That was it, no one else was called and I was now a patient again. I then call back to Dr. Villatoro's office, speak to Brenda and ask who the hell was she speaking to if all the insurance needed was HER approval. When I finally get to see someone, I'm given a I believe a nurse practitioner who I tell that I've had back pain before. I also tell her I was given some muscle relaxers, but stopped taking them because they made me very irritable, angry and basically have a bad reaction to them. So guess what she prescribes me? Muscle relaxers-what a genius! I do get to see Dr. Villatoro on my follow up visit and I truly believe she has discovered the reason for my chronic pain which I'm GRATEFUL for, but a few more tests have to confirm it, but between the long waits and somewhat incompetent staff, it's made me think really hard about changing providers. I haven't as of yet because it is so close to home, but if things like this continue to happen I feel like the frustration isn't even worth it.

My Lord and Savior have mercy on their souls... This review…read moreis for the front desk, the girls, only. The doctors are sweet and that's not the case, but beware of the beings in the front desk they call "medical assistance". Some may say It's ok as long as the doctors are nice, but I say, the doctors view your case for few minutes and they leave the rest of the referrals and the rest of the process to the girls in the front. We had gone there for a major issue regarding something suspicious that required additional testing and in-depth studies. As they, the "medical assistance", were specifically told by the doctor to request immediate referral for testing and for a specialist that is specialized in the concern, they tell us that we will get a call back within few days to a week to get the approval for the referral from my insurance. We called them back since we didn't receive anything nor heard back from them, and one girl says "still waiting on the approval, call back." I waited few days and called back again and another girl says "nothing in the system yet." I was doing this for about a few weeks, until one day a girl says "what are you talking about?! There's nothing about your case in the system." I, being enraged, trying to calmly and politely speak to that rude individual asking her to check again because this was going on for few weeks and it is urgent. She had the guts and the decency to reply back in such way that a person in her profession SHOULD NOT reply with, and actually raises her voice on me and was basically telling me that I didn't know what I was talking about. I started to speak to her in the way she deserved from the moment she picked up the phone, and guess what, SHE HANGS UP THE PHONE ON ME! I called back asking to speak to a damn manager to complain about the lack of their care for their patient especially one who has a suspicious medical case requiring IMMEDIATE medical attention. So the one that answers me tells me "we don't have the manager at the moment leave a message, and she'll get back to you." So I did. Waited for some human life to call me back, but failed me once again. I called and called AND CALLED and they said the same thing, "No manager at the moment." Not only that, but they all tried to throw my issue on the others, claiming that maybe this mistake occurred due to the fact that the girls were "new and in training". New?! Were all of their employees and so called medical assistance, new?! Are you kidding me? Not only am I in pain and worried up the roots of my vain, but you have the guts to insult my intelligence? I may be ill, but thank the Lord, I didn't lose my common sense. I felt like a deflated ping-pong ball yearning for some-one to bring me back to life. They gave me a very hard and difficult time. Something an ill being, or anyone for that matter, shouldn't have gone through. They also gave me a weird vibe as if I were a beggar pleading for a spared dollar to eat a humbled meal with. Really? Is that what medical assistance are all about now? They weren't doing me a favor, and I regret feeling this foolish feeling they threw at me, because they weren't doing me a favor, no, they were supposed to have been doing THEIR JOB, in which they had invested in and spent a good amount of time studying and paying for. They made it seem as if the doctor himself in his flesh; "imaginably" requested the additional tests my organs needed. Because if that weren't the case, I wouldn't be here on yelp at this day and this hour writing this review. Not only that, but when I decided that I no longer wanted their unnecessary service, I went ahead and requested my medical records from them. And this, my friends, needs another page of the suffering and frustration I also went through until they finally humbled themselves and granted my request of medical records. After sleepless nights, tears shed, and blood roaring with worry I finally ended up changing the doctor's office, and am now getting the longed for proper treatment. I wish no ill on anyone, nor do I wish them evil. If this is still going on with other helpless patients I just hope that maybe just maybe they finally change their rude ways. And maybe this may open their eyes to the true meaning of their profession, "Angels Of Mercy".
