I hired this company to remove three trees and paid $2,400 for the work. I contacted the company immediately after discovering the damage. I was told to have an irrigation company make the necessary repairs and send them the invoice. I did exactly that. The repair bill came to approximately $1,000. The company is now refusing to reimburse the full cost of the repairs and has offered $250 instead, arguing that they are only responsible for one sprinkler head and that they are not responsible for underground irrigation lines. My issue isn't that accidents can never happen during tree removal. I understand that damage can occur. My issue is how the company has handled the situation afterward. When a company damages something while performing work on your property, I believe they should take responsibility for reasonably restoring the property rather than leaving the customer to absorb most of the cost. I tried to resolve this directly and reasonably, but unfortunately we have not been able to reach an agreement. And won't respond to my emails or texts anymore. Based on my experience, I would recommend not using Tree Works for any service.

Thursday night we had rain and I have an under ground sprinkler system that come in early in the morning. When the folks came to take the tree out I was in a call and my fiancé, told them where the tree was. When I walked out to see, they had driven a heavy Kobada front loader tractor across my yard making huge ruts . The tree was small and really I'm gonna get this out to every fucking body Require a tractor. As the left I walked the yard and noticed. I happened to notice a soft spot in the yard, thinking it could be from the rain, I waited until Sunday to check it again. It was really soft still so I called the city water to see if it was the water main or the sewer line. We ruled out the water main. On Monday I called the Tree service company "Po Boys " in Sumter SC, and notify them of the issue. The lady said that they are not responsible for things under the ground. I told her I was told that before agreeing to the job and I had not signed any paperwork stating that. I then asked her to send me a document stating that and would like the owner to give me a call. These people Southeastern Tree Experts Brett Joseph Prentiss Ciera Blackmon are CROOKED AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR BUSINESS TO ANYONE. My mother PAID for a job that has YET to be completed and another one in advance due to the owner asking for cash because the banks would be closed when he would come back to do the other job. Mind you, my mother only paid this man in advance because of the kids, which he brought along with his pregnant girlfriend, who all sat on my mother's back porch with her. My mother watched and held the little girl and watched their son while their mother went to the store to go get drinks and this is how they repay her after she paid him in advance out of love, gave each of the workers lunch money, a tip, and fruit. They never came back, kept giving her the run around, saying they were out of town, ignoring and never returning her phone calls so she got friends to call on her behalf and those calls were ignored also, even after voice mails were left. So to prevent others from being ripped off by them, the police advised her to go to small claims court. If you go to their business page you will find another review about them ripping off someone's grandmother in December of 2015.
