Bottom line: There is no property manager, no front desk, nobody on site, nobody picking up calls. This is a poorly managed, unattended Airbnb. You might reach someone by text if you are lucky, but do not expect them to show up, fix anything, or offer any hospitality, including a door that opens. Actual rooms and premises do not look like their pictures on the website or social media accounts. I would not stay here again. There are better options in Big Bear at better prices.
The door code they sent us did not work when we arrived. A door that opens at an accommodation you have paid for is a basic expectation, not a bonus feature. We called (909) 878-0052 repeatedly, nobody picked up, and the front office was empty too. When we texted asking for help getting through the door of our cabin, and finally got a hold of someone, the response was "can I call you later?" No. We were standing outside a locked cabin.
My partner ended up figuring out the door lock through an app, essentially doing the front desk's job for free. Setup was not simple, and we got stuck at the door more than once over the stay. Nobody ever came to fix it.
Every other room on the property was empty at check in, so I asked about an upgrade. The host said of course, for an extra fee equal to what the room costs on their website anyway. So the "favor" was charging us full price for a room we could have booked ourselves. They were not obligated to move us, but the place is unattended and the cabins are tiny. A little goodwill would have gone a long way.
Also worth knowing: the photos on their website and social media do not match what you get. Pictures attached so you can judge for yourself.
Overall, I would not recommend staying here and will not be coming back myself. read more
