My husband actually called Ingram's because of a flyer that we received in the mail. We actually had at least 3 other estimates on a unit and this is who we chose to go with for a number of reasons: espcecially because of price, discounts, and knowledge. Price: the cost of the unit we were looking at was about on par with the other estimates. However, the person that gave us the estimate looked up the unit and found that we were eligible for a $650 rebate from KCP&L. Yay! And it wasn't one of those tax refund or mail in kind of rebates. They took it off the cost of the unit, so we ended up paying substantially less. Also, this nice man told us several things about our duct work and the unit itself that no one else made us aware of. I would definitely recommend Ingrams. Honest company, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile for their customer.

They came back several times to charge the unit. They told us they would find another unit and "make this right", which we believed to be true. I am used to dealing with reputable vendors which obviously this company is not. Last time we spoke with Brad Ingram he said " we will see you in court". We have since had to contact an attorney which is unfortunate. OCT 16.2013 still not resolved. We bought both furnace and AC units from them, and they had never steered us wrong. Last summer we bought a new AC unit based on Alec's suggestion and at the time found him to be honest & knowledgable in the process. Alec also suggested Lennox's new iHarmony zoning thermostat of which now after researching we paid way too much (we were charged $3K+ and it costs approximately $387 online). After installation we returned home from being out of town to an above 80-degree house to later learn the new thermostat had been programmed wrong upon installation. They did come right away on a weekend & made some temporary changes to get the house cooled down. The heat continued for days after that. Alec couldn't figure it out and turned it over to Ronnie. Ronnie tried to fix it (meanwhile we were still battling the July heat) and told us to stay in touch via phone. That was the last time a text or call was answered and were unwilling to call Lennox support to fix the problem. We finally had to go through a painful 1+ hour support call ourselves to learn the zones had not been set up correctly upon installation. Correcting the thermostat fixed the problem immediately. Never heard from Absolute Comfort again, and we chose not to pursue any longer. We felt like taking our money was priority this time around, not customer satisfaction. That was a dealbreaker for us.
