I used AW on a recommendation from a friend of mine who used them recently also. When I arrived at the shack, the employee was out of the dock showing someone else their rental. As soon as he could, the employee (Blaine - I hope it's spelled right) was a huge help. Blaine gave me a run-down of the boat and off we went on our excursion. The only downfall was their phone line was down, which meant their credit card machine was down. Luckily I had a card with raised/embossed numbers to use, because they took a manual impression of my card (took it back old school). This caused a slight issue because I was planning on using a different card.

We arrive to the spot of our choosing, if you don't know where ask and they will recommend a spot. I always ask for a spot closest to the bathrooms. The barge is without a motor so there is no need to have a DD. It is fully equipped with a large cooler ( ice included), propane bbq (byo cooking tools), table, chairs/ sofa, radio system with hook ups (bring external battery). Bring your food, drinks, snacks (byo cups, plates, utensils) and just get ready to party/ relax with no fuss. If cooking is not what you want to do, most local restaurants deliver to your barge. In addition to all that, they rent lily pads and other extras for a small fee. Can't wait to go back!

Unfortunately, two of the main features (the sound system and the BBQ grill) did not function properly during our rental. The sound system kept cutting out within the first couple of hours and eventually stopped working, significantly affecting the group's atmosphere. The grill also repeatedly shut off, failing to maintain a consistent temperature, making cooking slow and frustrating throughout the day. These were key features we chose this rental for, so their failure directly impacted the value of the experience. We contacted the owner to address the situation. Although he initially discussed a partial refund, no refund was ultimately issued. Overall, while the idea behind the experience is great, the equipment's reliability and the way the issue was handled did not meet expectations.
