I mailed a microcassette to AZ Digital that was received on June 16, 2025. I called them on June 30 to check on the status. I was told it would be 5 days. I sent an email on 7/14 with no response. I left a voice mail on 7/22 and followed with another email. This company has had bad reviews that I saw after the fact. I had concerns on losing this tape. I received an email of apology today- 7/23 - that the cassette and file would be returned on July 28 with an email to confirm. I really appreciate that contact. This cassette was my son's high school concert solo from 37 years ago. It has been a six-week process. Customer contact is key, especially if there is a delay. read more

Submitted slides and paid for transfer to digital on 8/23/23. As of today, over 3 months later, nothing. They originally said 6-8 weeks. Not returning calls or email. The storefront is no longer open to walk-in traffic (as in - it's closed). After I submitted the above review with 1 star I received a call to inform me my slides were done. The slide conversion came out great but their customer service could be better. In future they should respond when their clients reach out asking about the status of their project. read more

I will join the rest of these reviews and say the same thing. I had brought in a Mini DV tape to get converted to a QuickTime MOV file. After getting it back the file had video hits on it. I called and the person explained that they would redo it. I kept calling to schedule a time for me to come by since I didn't want to mail the tape and lose my only copy. They never responded to my emails and ghosted me as the kids say. I ended up going to another digital transfer service and they did the job right on the first time. Just awful communication here and I am wondering they are even still in business since everyone is saying the same thing in the reviews here. read more

I dropped off 7 reels of film (5-3" reels, and 2-5" reels) to be transferred to digital on May 31, 2023. I was told when I dropped them off that they would be ready in 4-6 weeks. I dropped off 2 more 3" reels on June 28, 2023 and was told he would not charge me for them, but they would add approximately 3 more weeks to the entire order. So, according to that estimate they should have been ready around August 2, 2023 (9 weeks). I called called numerous times after August 2nd to get the status and never received a call back, I sent an email and never received a response to that either. So, I would just call and call until someone answered. Finally on September 7th, he answered. He told me that my order isn't ready, but he would try to have it done by the end of the week. I called back a week later and he told me that it wasn't ready, but he would try to get it done. I pointed out that the original 9 weeks has now turned into 16 weeks and he said, yeah these projects take 4-16 weeks. I told him that I was concerned because all they do is keep pushing out the date and I don't understand why I'm not getting my product. Then he said the same thing, I'll try to get it done this week. As of today, it has been 19 weeks. I already paid half of the charges on 5/31. The invoice I paid off of says Invoice #0000001, which can't be correct. Now when I call this business I get a message referring to another phone number, and that the other phone numbers mailbox is full. I live in a different city it's a long drive. At 5 months I finally get a call saying my order is done, and that I should call before coming to make sure someone is there, which is ridiculous, because they rarely answer the phone and don't return calls. So I made the 45 min drive down there in the middle of the week and no one was there. Then the next time I took a chance and drove there they were actually open. He brought out my order, and 2 reels of film were missing. He said that he does recall receiving the 2 reels from me, but he can't find them. Nor were they ever transferred to digital, so they are just completely gone. The only family films from the 1960's I have and he lost 2 of the reels. He said he'd call if he found them, but I know how that goes from experience. That was almost a month ago and still haven't heard from him. Bottom line, I would never use this business again. I wish I had read all the reviews before using them in the first place, because almost all had the same horrible experience. One star only because 0 stars was not an option. read more

Very poor customer service. Deliberate lack of communication. I called one month after drop off to see how it was coming along? Gabe said he had not even started the job, there was a bigger one in front of me. I asked well how long? He said they were closing for 2-3 weeks with a baby due. Thought about it and sent an email and left a voice message on phone saying since you have not started I wish to cancel my order and just come pick up my tapes. NO that was not to happen. Dragged on with no replies. Finally after 3.5 months I got my tapes. Checked it all out at the store that I had everything but when I got home ONE tape was missing? One week later i get a call from Gabe saying he had it and would mail it. I phoned and left message, and emailed with my address for mailing. This was Four Days ago. We shall see if he mails it. AND everything was put into AVI. I told him I had a MAC and wanted mp4. Charged for a military grade 1TB HD, but he put it all on a 512GB Flash Drive. Once you drop off anything for them to do, they hold your tapes hostage. It took 3 and a half months. It was a living nightmare. It is one big scam operation in my view. Caveat Emptor, buyer beware. I sent in old recordings in November right after I paid online. I continually called and emailed and never received information. When I finally did speak with someone, he said it was hard to make the recording but it would be sent out soon. I received my recordings back in June, without the transfers or a full refund. Terrible! I could have sent these somewhere else and had them ready for my aunt's Christmas gift in 2023. I wish I would have read reviews before trusting this company with something this important. read more

This is my third time having AZ Digital Transfer make a slideshow for me, and they did an amazing job once again. Gabe did such a great job placing photos with the music; it is just perfect. He was awesome to work with, and it was finished on the promised date. Will be working on photos for another video; love bringing the many photos we have to life through a slideshow with music. Poor customer service, communication, and delivery speed. If they give you an expected delivery date, what they should tell you is to expect to need to call them to follow up, day after day, until they finally come through, weeks beyond the initial estimated time. They don't respond to emails, and they don't keep in touch to let you know that they won't deliver on the promised date. The number of times I was told my files would be delivered on "X" date, or "tomorrow" and they simply weren't is unacceptable. Expect to need a lot of patience and time to deal with this company. read more

I have been trying/waiting for 4 months to get a simple audio tape transfer job done but they don't return calls and seldom ever answer emails. S-l-o-w service. Extremely poor to zero communication though email or telephone. Was told 2-3 week turn around. Ended up being 14 weeks. Please beware that the owner is extremely rude and untruthful. Gave him my videos in August of 2019 to be transferred and voice matched and he promised me it would be completed within 4-6 weeks. 6 weeks later he told me he needed more time and they'd be completed in 2 more weeks. 2 weeks later and he told me he needed 1 more month . . . . This went on for a total of 12 months!! Every time I'd call back when he said they'd be completed, he would argue with me and would never take ownership of his promises. He would lie and say that he never promised each time frame. 1 year later and I finally got my videos. Upon payment, he wanted an extra $200 on top of the $300 because he said the job was laborious!! I refused to pay the extra $200 and he said if I didn't pay then he wouldn't give me back my original videos!! This company is horrible!! I ended up giving him the extra $200 because these were my family video memories. I had no choice. I was pushed to cough over $500 total. When I went home to view the videos he had transferred, the voice didn't even match with the scenes. He did a horrible job. They transferred 3 VHS takes into digital format for me. These were tapes I had not seen for almost 20 years because we don't have a VHS player. They did a great job, all was as promised and I am THRILLED! I will definitely use them again. read more

**Buyers beware** Dropped off some tapes during the first part of September and was told they would be done in 10-15 business days. When I had not received an update after a month I contacted them and spoke to a guy named Gabriel. He indicated that they should be ready within the next week. Another month went by and I called and was told the same thing. Last week I called again and was told they would be ready on Monday or Tuesday, once again no call or email. I finally went in today and asked for my tapes back and a refund since it had been almost three months to which Gabriel told me he could get this completed by end of day. I said no and I wanted my tapes back. He then said I needed to pay for services rendered... I refused and finally a lady came from the back and said give him his tapes and a refund. I have never dealt with a company like this, incredibly rude and not customer focused. DO NOT do business with them. There are plenty of other ethical companies around that would love your business. read more

I am writing this review and opinion about Arizona Digital Transfers (AZ Digital) for two reasons: (1) to share my experience with future customers, and (2) in hopes that the company will take steps to improve its customer service. In 2013, I submitted a large quantity of media to AZ Digital for transfer. Under a tight deadline, they provided quality work on time with great customer service. Based on my outstanding experience in 2013, I returned in February 2020 with more media for transfer. It was another big job, and I knew it might take a while. I wasn't in a hurry but began sending emails in May and June asking for a status report. I received no responses. In July, I sent an email saying I would pick up all tapes at the six-month mark in August. On August 15, I received an email from AZ Digital asking for a little more time, to which I agreed. On October 1, I notified AZ Digital that I would be picking up all tapes, whether completed or not, on October 24. I picked up all completed tapes on that date and was satisfied with the quality of the work. I might add that I had shown up in person at the business on two or three different occasions to check on the status of my job. Reaction was varied--at one time being met with excuses about how busy they were and how people didn't understand how long these jobs could take. On the day I picked up my order, I was not made to feel welcome, even though I had been the source of a $700 job. Despite their impressive website, which boasts that they are "committed to customer service," it seems like customer care has taken a downturn since their earlier days. AZ Digital seems to be struggling with job prioritization and/or procrastination issues and lack of a good customer service plan. Perhaps they are dealing with overwork or burnout--I don't know. What I do know is that their customers do not feel valued or cared for, based on more than a few Internet reviews. According to their "Terms and Conditions," AZ Digital cannot guarantee estimated times for turnaround and they have periods of high volume. I think everyone understands that. Their "Terms and Conditions" also states, "I understand it is my responsibility to call or email for updates on my order." But what about AZ Digital's responsibility to respond to status updates? It seems they have set all their LEGAL responsibilities in place, but what about their ETHICAL responsibilities to treat customers with respect, politeness, and consideration? If I were AZ Digital, I would want to reassess the purpose of my business and how it might be affecting my customers. I might arrange for a small business consultant, hire more people, train an apprentice, or even get a high school student to return telephone calls and emails. As for future customers, I would recommend procuring a copy of AZ Digital's "Terms and Conditions" that you will be signing and then settling down for a possible LONG wait with no status updates on your projects. Whether your experience is positive or negative, think about writing a review on Google, Yelp, Facebook, and the Better Business Bureau website. If you don't think they deserve their A+ rating on the BBB, submit a complaint in lieu of a review. That's the only way a rating can be affected. To AZ Digital, I hope you will see this review as a growth opportunity and develop a plan to improve your business. I wish you the best. read more

If you are looking to transfer film to Digital, this is the place! I have a 16mm film (two large reels) and want to save it. I chatted with Gabe, and his experience in a production studio is evident in his knowledge. He explained about the process and answered every question. He told me not only the condition of the film, but the signs to look for. I asked him to show me a few feet of the film, which he did, and discovered there was no sound. Quite unexpected. However, I learned a tape with sound was played while the film was projected. Even better, when it arrives, I can take it to Gabe and the result will be a digitized movie with sound in my choice of format. Oh yes, the price is very reasonable. read more

It seems like a nice little business but the customer service is not acceptable. I do not live close by and showed up during business hours but they were closed. I eventually made the drive back to drop off my transfer tape. I was told it would take about 2 week and they would call me. I waited about 5 weeks and called. I was told my tape was ready. I confirmed the date that I would come in. I was unable to make it in. Almost two months from the date I dropped off my tape I came to pick it up. It was not ready. The girl who waited on me was not polite. She informed me that they call when the tapes are ready. Almost like she was chastising me for showing up. The cd I received is not really usable. You can hear it but there is another recording over it at the same time. I literally am not going to go back. Too much of a hassle. read more

The studio came with a good recommendation but they were HORRIBLE. I took movies to have transferred to Flash Drives on October 10, 2019. Gabe said they would be done in about 2 months. After two months I called was told it would be just a short while more, by Xmas. Nope. Finally got them March 6, 2020, FIVE months later. So unprofessional and I believed I was being misled by Gabe and his wife who was very unpleasant. read more

Tried to have some work done and went to the store during the posted business hours but the store was closed. I called and left a message and a lady called me back stating that she would be in the store for the rest of the day and during business hours the next day. I made a second trip only to find the store closed again. I have called twice so far to see if she could call me back to verify that she would be in the store but have not heard back. Stay away from this company! If I could give a 0 star rating I would. I mailed 6 cassettes and one 8-track tape to be converted to a flash drive. It took them more than 3 months to complete this work and I had to call and email them several times to request the status!! They did not acknowledge receipt of the order. Most of the time they didn't even answer the phone or reply to my email. When I did talk to them after 1 month, they said they were working on the order and it would be finished in a day or two but another 2 months went by before they answered the phone when I called. I was extremely worried as I had entrusted them with one-of-a-kind tapes of original music that were very important to me and my family. The 8-track tape that I sent to them was still in shrink wrap and I had never listened to it because I didn't have an 8-track player. When I finally got the tape back the case had been ripped and torn. How does that happen?! Also the indexes created of the song play lists had typos, and a duplicate track. If you are looking for competent, quality work, don't use AZ Digital Transfer. I have never seen such poor performance. read more

Unfortunately the service was abysmal. Delivery was quoted at two weeks, it took seven. Paid to have CD's shipped, after 6 weeks received a phone call that they were ready to be picked up. After explaining that we paid to have them shipped and having them pull the order to verify, was promised an email that would contain the tracking number, email never arrived. Numerous phone calls and emails were not responded to when inquiring as to the delay. Unfortunately cannot recommend this organization. read more
