We told the owner we were quitting early because of the back condition. After the contract was completed he continued to charge us a monthly fee. He and my son had quite the conversation going over what was expected from my son during class, what my son can expect to learn while taking karate. My son really enjoyed talking to Bob (I believe that was his name). Class started right on time and my son had a great time. After class, he came up to me and told me how much fun he had. Which is important to any parent! There were 3 instructors on the floor the day we went with around 12 students. With 3 instructors, I am sure the class could accomodate more students~ it was nice that the day we were there, it was not too crowded. I'm not sure who Shantel spoke to but Bob was not pushy at all. I just discovered the "review" from a Michael G., which was written on 4/4/2022, five years after I retired, and 10 years after I sold the school. I have no idea who Michael G. is, or why he chose to slander me with lies. When I was teaching, I always emphasized the importance of honesty and integrity. I'm reasonably certain he was never a student when I was teaching. In any case, the school had gone out of business months before he wrote this "review". I sincerely hope he recovers from whatever trauma has caused him to express such hate.

However, her personal trainer is tired of the corporate issues at our current gym and said he is going to leave to do instructional training at "The Gym" Never heard of it... other than saying I'm going to the gym... lowercase. My wife and I discussed the situation. Do we stay at our current and work with the second best trainer or follow the best trainer.... After our workout this past Monday we decided to do a tour at THE GYM. We walked in and were greated nicely enough. They were a little apprehensive at first but seemed okay. We walked around a bit. We were impressed with the amount of equipment and so much less USELESS FLUFF like other gyms. This place is all about working out. This is awesome. Great. Sooo. my issue that I noticed is the lighting is WAY TOO DIM for proper safety and effectively seeing the function of each piece of equipment let alone seeing your form while using them. Some areas along what I think is the East wall were pitch black. My eyes were not aclimating to their "ambience". I understand the whole shadow and contrast of seeing muscle definition and people not wanting to be on "display" while working out but this lack of lighting is definately not helpful if you need a flashlight to see! At least when we were there, the music wasn't blarring like so many others had complained about, because if my wife can't hear her instructor, we will not be switching. Now if only the lighting would be addressed..... I would give 5 stars.

You won't see people sitting on a machine for an hour on their phones not doing even one set. You won't see people leaning against a machine talking for an hr and not working out. Its a serious Gym for Serious people,..not a Happy Hour. I needed a Gym to do my workout quick and go home. The enviroment is very family oriented, very respectful. People come to the Gym to workout. Laura, Hailey and Anthony are all very nice and everyone is super helpful. I've stopped in with my Dog to say hello on the days I'm not working out and, my Dog loves Laura and Haley. Serious Gym, serious people,..you can actually get a good workout here. Perfect.
