Gracie Jui Jitsu has been home for us for over a year. And when I say home, I mean home. I've got…read moretwo kids in their kids program. The first day you step inside, they say they will treat you like family, and they do. Each instructor goes out of their way to provide the child what they need to succeed, and truly cares about seeing your child gain confidence in life. The principles they teach go so far past Jiu-Jitsu as well. While the Women's Empowerment isn't something that works for me at the moment, I tried a class, and would recommend it to anyone! We love that we have become friends with the instructors, kids, and other families there.

I signed up one month ago and i think its my new favorite place!…read more I have met most of the team, maybe ive met them all? Each teammember is AWESOME! They all are funny, comforting, and sooo knowledgable! It is very easy to feel out of place when starting something new like Jiu-Jitsu, especially when you are with a group who has been practicing for a while. Its easy to get discouraged and just stop showing up. Gracie Jiu-jitsu Phoenix shines in making everyone feel welcome and part of a team. The instructors are always watching and correcting to make sure movements are done properly, but more importantly, safely! Every time I leave here I feel like I just had my butt kicked, well I guess i did, but kicked in a good way! Overall, if you are on the fence about joing this location, just show up. Talk to the team and let them guide you. Its an amazing place filled with amazing people.

My kid signed up for a six month contract of classes at Goshin. The classes were pretty good but…read moreshe couldn't continue them for medical reasons. We told the owner we were quitting early because of the back condition. After the contract was completed he continued to charge us a monthly fee. When I asked, he said, "Read your contract -- it says I will continue to charge you." I feel like his business practices are fraudulent. we would not recommend this school to anyone.

Came here last Thurs. for a trail class as my friend's son is also taking karate here…read more The owner of the academy greeted my son warmly and spoke to him with kindness and treated him with respect. He and my son had quite the conversation going over what was expected from my son during class, what my son can expect to learn while taking karate. My son really enjoyed talking to Bob (I believe that was his name). Class started right on time and my son had a great time. After class, he came up to me and told me how much fun he had. Which is important to any parent! There were 3 instructors on the floor the day we went with around 12 students. With 3 instructors, I am sure the class could accomodate more students~ it was nice that the day we were there, it was not too crowded. I'm not sure who Shantel spoke to but Bob was not pushy at all. He simply handed me the class schedule and asked me to contact him if I was interested in having my son take karate. Overall, a very good experience!
