In fact, I'd give it four stars but my wife is still annoyed about the price of the boricha (barley) tea, which at ~$4 per person is wildly overpriced. Other than the boricham the prices were fine though, and the food and service were both good. The dolsotbibimbap was a good choice; sizzling hot and with a good selection of veggies and a healthy dollop of kochujang to open up your sinuses. The selection of banchan was also quite decent; kimchi (of course), pickled cucumber, pickled shredded radish, marinated fish cake, and a small bowl of soy-paste based soup. The banchan were all normal portions, and all fresh and flavorful. Not the best Korean restaurant I've ever been to, but they didn't turn down any of the flavors to make it more "German", and we'd certainly eat there again if we were in town.

The choice of Korean restaurants in Munich is slim and, after 18 months of living here, thought it was high time to try one. I came here for lunch and the menu is small but has the standard Korean dishes on the menu for reasonable prices. I ordered the Dolsotpibimbap which is a rice dish mixed with julienne vegetables, shredded meat, fried egg and a Chilli bean paste. It is served in a hot cast iron pot and the rice gets all crispy and crunchy towards the end. I judge most Korean restaurants by this dish :-) I really enjoyed it and whilst it could have used a bit more paste to give it a bit more heat the accompanying kimchi made up for it. I just wish they gave you a huge bowl of kimchi on the side ;-)) The rice was delicious and crispy towards the bottom and the choice of vegetable was also good. For €6.50 it was a bargain for a wholesome meal. You can also get this without the meat for a vegetarian. I will ask for more paste on the side the next time ;-)) I will come back here and try some of the other dishes at dinner. It seems quite authentic and not bad at all for my first try in Munich. Maybe, I might get to satiate my craving for Korean food in Munich after all ;-))

It's not for every night, but I'd be happy to come here on a future trip to Munich. Arriving to a nearly empty restaurant at 6:15p on a Friday night, my two dining companions and I all opted for the Korean barbecued steak after being guided through the pros and cons. Namely, the entire table must opt for either the a la carte menu, or for the tasting menus for that day; otherwise the dishes can't be timed properly. I dunno how Korean this steak was, but it was served at an appealing medium rare, and still cooking on the sizzling skillets it came in. It was textured, it was juicy, it was well seasoned. The accompanying onion added balance while not coming across too raw to eat. And we demolished the banchan. Everything had strong primary flavors, and balance, and still left room in my stomach for the mains. I don't regret blowing my calorie budget one bit. Inclusive of sparkling water, a bottle of wine for the table, a beer, 3 entrees, and a mocktail, we paid 248 EUR.

There is a part of me that has an issue going to a restaurant and having to cook your own steak ;-) mind you I happily do that at a Korean BBQ or Japanese restaurant :-) My company had organized an evening here for customers, so I went along. It is located on a quiet street and is an open plan restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are extremely attentive and welcoming and, for service they get 5 stars. They explained everything to the guests and got us on our way with drinks quickly. The concepts here is, you get mixed starters and you choose your cut of steak (no veggies here). I just went for the biggest one, the flank steak lol. I believe this is also the normal way in which the restaurant operates. Our starter was beef carpaccio, smoked fish and goats cheese with bread. It was very good. My steak was excellent and tender and, I cooked it rare. Tender and delicious, I wanted another one ;-)) the primitivo wine I had was also superb. I would happily come back here again. I can't tell you value for money, as we did not have to pay ;-)) good steak, nice ambience and excellent service. If you like steak chances are you might enjoy the experience of grilling it yourself and not have to clean up ;-))

The service was brilliant; very friendly staff who seemed to enjoy explaining their concept and menu to you

There used to be an old Japanese couple that ran this place and that's changed. The waitress was a bit grumpy and wanted to get us out as soon as possible. We did arrive a bit late and it was 45 mins before closing however, no need to rush us out. We were only there for a quick lunch. I had the bento box and at €19 pretty expensive. The tempura was bready and lukewarm. The sashimi was ok, sushi roll was also too starchy and the teriyaki sauce for the salmon was almost as thick as molasses. Maybe they use a bit too much cornstarch to thicken up the sauces. It was the same with the Agedashi tofu. More of a Chinese style sauce rather than the nice broth like sauces you get in traditional Japanese cuisine. It used to be one of my favourites but not sure if I would come back here again. May give it one more try but not sure I would spend a lot of money to get a mediocre experience. It's a shame as it used to be great value with excellent food.

The service is nothing to complain or rave about. While the food is authentic and flavorful, I find the prices too high for the portions we get. It made ordering difficult knowing that we would have to pay so much yet get so little for our worth. I had miso soup and Wakame soba, paid ~13 € for it, and left the restaurant still wanting more food (and I don't need to eat that much to be full!). That's just not right.
