I had a facial (5/5) and a foot massage (2/5) This overall rating is really mainly about their…read morecommunications with me after the fact and the disappointing foot massage. The facial: 5/5 Relaxing, private, quiet and professional. Olivia was informative, gentle and not over chatty (all good in my book). Oh and there was a bed warmer... lovely! Foot massage (2/5) I'm basing this on deep foot massages I have had in the past. The deeper the better. I'd give their approach to a foot massage a 5 if you're just expecting light application of massive amounts of fragrant creams and ever so gentle, light rubbing in a pleasant setting. I sat beside a good friend and we chatted while she had a pedi and the staff allowed me to stay longer because her procedure was longer and the room wasn't needed. I felt that was kind. Where things went off the rails and why my review plummets was due to the communication I received from this place after my review. I had expressed 2 levels of disappointment with their foot massage . First is wasn't 'deep' despite the description of 'deep rhythmic massage' on their website and second because the esthetician maintained a very light pressure after I twice told her should could go much deeper. The 'deep, rhythmic massage' never happened. They sent me an email asking me to change the review, blaming my disappointment on my misinterpretation of 'deep rhythmic foot massage' and explaining that of course it meant was 'deeply relaxing'. They said a lot of other stuff, but the result is that I feel gaslit and feel they were trying to shame me for giving an honest review. They have now updated the website to eliminate the wording of 'deep rhythmic' from their foot massage description. I have a screenshot of that earlier version. So, I have in fact changed my review from a 3 to a one and would give them a zero for customer service if I could. No customer should be made to feel this way.

Three times - you're OUT. I went there three times. First…read moretime, my impression, this place really needs a makeover but my stylist "S." was really nice. Second time, I visited her I left disappointed with my cut but "S." was really nice so I gave her a third try, this time armed with a photo of what I like and between visits I told her I had cut my fringe because I didn't like the way it was cut. Third visit - was a disaster. I was there for 3.5 hours and left with awful cut and hair colour. When I told others that I just got my haircut, their response was a non-committal "It's nice". It's only when I got home that I saw how horrible the cut and colour was. I immediately called and booked another appointment for this to be corrected. I was armed once again with photos, showed "S." the colour that I wanted and the way I wanted my hair styled. AGAIN "S." did what she wanted. I was charged for products. My third visit costs me a little over $200. NEVER AGAIN. DON'T GO TO JAZI"S on BANK STREET! for the love of your hair don't go!

Because it was less than 72 hours notice, I knew I would have to pay 50% of the appointment. whatever! so I rebooked 5 days later to give me time to heal. Turns out it was a nasty cold and I wasn't healed. BUT, I was not going to pay again, so I went to the appointment coughing my lungs out. Turns out, they didn't book enough time, my hairdresser was rushed, and I ended up paying $148 (I have super short hair) for a mediocre haircut that I had to fix myself at home because it wasn't even, and I left with wet, un-styled hair. AND, the receptionist is cold and unfriendly. Not even a smile. (for the record, I did not fuss about the price or anything, I just paid and left. I barely had a voice, so I wasn't going to waste what little I had on that) She just wasn't nice. Needless to say that I will not be returning.
