Since she was a new Sentara patient, the staff assisted with getting all of her information, checking her in and answered any question she had. After we were escorted to a room and all of her vitals were checked, Nurse Practitioner Jill Frink was absolutely amazing! She listened to the concerns of my daughter and assisted with next steps to help her with her issues. She ensured we schedule a follow up appointment so she can check for progress. My daughter gets very anxious in medical settings, but the staff was very personable and made her feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this facility to those in need of medical care.

I've been coming to Coastal Family Practice for a number of years now. I've seen many of the…read moreFamily Nurse Practitioners here, past and present. Most of the time, I generally come about twice a year. Overall, I've had good experiences here. I've seen Dr. Miller once when he was the only one available that day when I got home from a trip from Florida, as I was fighting a cold and bronchitis. For most other occasions, I had been seeing Kay Wolff, FNP (she has since left the state, so she is no longer here). I've always had a good experience with her, along with the one I am now seeing there, Monica. There are a few procedural things that go on here, which is why I won't go above a three rating here. First, when you do come in for lab testing the week before the visit, you still have to pay your copay just to have blood drawn, which takes maybe one minute. The only other alternative to not paying that is to go directly to a LabCorp testing site instead (at least based on my insurance; all of their blood work testing is done by LabCorp). One other thing that has started recently is that they now have a opening file charge of $5 each time they have to open your file. If you have prescriptions sent to a pharmacy and need to move it to another one instead for whatever reason, make sure you work with the gaining pharmacy to have the prescription transferred instead. If you do it through this office, you'll be charged that opening file fee. It just seems there's more of this going on to get more money from patients and/or their insurance. Overall, the staff are friendly, nice, and professional. They do provide good care here. I've never had any problems getting an appointment here, even when it's been last minute. This is not a bad doctor's office to come to. You'll just want to be informed of all the possible fees that may be incurred on your visit, even if you do have medical insurance.

Also, very reasonably priced and work well with their patients. I literally cannot put enough nice things to describe her. They're very able to answer all your questions fully. I recommend her to anyone and everyone who is interested in any kind of procedure. The whole office is magnificent. Incredible work and beautiful office! Thank you guys for being so awesome!!!

Time for yet another update…read more Brief background - I've been coming here on and off since 2014 for laser hair removal, mole removals, laser skin treatments, and facials. Dr. Lopes removed some moles for me a few years ago and my results were amazing. No scars and I had one on my chin that you would literally never know was there! It was expensive - something like $100 a mole and I had 9 removed - insurance will not pay for anything here bc it's all cosmetic. I've heard all good things about her and her skills in plastic surgery. I don't know that I'll ever go there, but, good to know she's here if I do want to. I had laser hair removal here years ago with Maggie and, bc of my sensitive skin and some scars on my legs, I had to do lower power on the laser and more treatments. I paid over $4000 for the treatments and Maggie modified it for me as needed to suit my skin. I appreciated this and never forgot it. I was initially given a quote good for 6 months when discussing the laser hair removal so I could leave and think on the investment. Now, when I went back to see Rachel last year - no quotes, just her assessment in the exam room quickly, and it felt like she was just making it up off the top of her head. I didn't think that was as professional as the process in the past. I want to be given an exam and a quote sheet I can take with me so we're all on the same page. I spent about $1000-1200 on some touch-ups and some vascular issues and had an issue with a "follow-up" that I was charged for when I was under the impression it was included in my price since I was being brought in to review the results. No quotes given either - you have to remember and hope she remembered what she said it would be. What? After Maggie retired they did bring in another esthetician for a while also but she's no longer there and my future appointments were cancelled. I believe they have not replaced her and no longer offer facials bc no one has ever called to reschedule and this was over 6 months ago. She was also shady about prices and there were no prices listed the first few times I went and she kept "offering" other things to do or recommended I "needed" but you had no idea what it would cost and some of those things were $90-150 each! If I had said yes to everything - I'd have easily spent $450. Shady. Rain, the office manager, is kind and worked with me to resolve the issue I had with the follow-up mentioned above. The front desk staff are sweet. I just don't appreciate when we're talking about this kind of money, feeling like the prices aren't set - they're made up on the spot. Something about that rubs me entirely the wrong way and makes me pause on coming here for anymore laser follow-up and treatments.

Uncertain if everyone there was hit in the head with a rock but...... My first appt. with Tara, she ended up being out sick or something and Tracy Leonard filled in for her, 6 months later (next appt.), I get a call and was told she won't be around and they have to change the appt. The nurse told me I wouldn't be charged for the canceled visit (Really? I hope not....). A week later I get a call to make sure I'm prepared for my televisit? I told the nurse "You and I spoke last week, you canceled the appt. and moved my lab and visit appt. Silence....."Oh......OK". Then my visit rolls around (did my labs previous to the visit). I usually get the call before the televisit, but no. I called the office....voice mail, three times. Received no follow-up, nothing. My records were alo requested. The person requesting them, had to repeatedly make the request due to no response. I called them and Tara Bedard's nurse must've been hit in the head again with the rock from before! It took them forever to finally send the records off. The nurse actually asked me how she should send them? I asked if she was given instructions DUH! I already found a new PCP. Having a few chronic health conditions, I try to surround myself with good, competent medical providers. Princess Anne Family Practice couldn't find water if they fell out of a boat. Stupidity and ignorance doesn't fly in my book when it comes to my health.
