When no one approached us to help, we slowly walked through the store, stopping at a lot of the displays, sitting, checking tags, talking between us about what we liked. There were several other customers in the store and several staff that appeared to be engaged with them, but no one ever acknowledged our presence. Though it certainly shouldn't matter, we were dressed nicely, didn't have horns, weren't terrorists, nothing that would have discouraged anyone in a sales position from welcoming us. After 20-25 minutes going through the store, we sat for a while at a display towards the front, talking about what we'd liked and what next steps might be. Still no one acknowledged our presence at all. A young man in a green shirt with a name tag that was obviously on staff walked by us, looked at us, and: Just. Kept. Walking. Seriously. Based on our experience, if you want to walk around in a large room of nice looking patio furniture, Paddy O' might be a place to spend a few minutes. But if you're looking for help, someone to talk to about different models, if you're looking to purchase some patio furniture, perhaps not. We'll not be returning.

Overprice example is the bowl pictured below. Priced at $150. You can buy off Amazon for $20 and use your choice of chalk paint for around $5 from local craft store. Your money will be better spent at other home goods stores or Etsy shops.

I didn't say anything because I was stunned. Definitely an unnecessary sexist comment. I didn't realize we were still living in the 1950s. Last time I checked, it's 2023. I don't need the attitude. We will be discussing if we will even bother coming back. If we do, we want help from the owner or a manager. Very disappointing experience after spending over $12,000 at Summer Classics Nashville. We came…read morespecifically for design assistance, showed them our space, and relied on their recommendation of a Gayle bench as the ottoman for our sectional. Once delivered, it was clearly out of proportion for the space. The store initially agreed to take it back with a 50% restocking fee, which I reluctantly accepted. After we returned it, they withdrew even that refund because of several marks they said were on the upholstery of a bench we had never used. Attempts to reach corporate resulted in an unreturned voicemail and two unanswered emails. Their final "accommodation" was a 50% store credit that had to be used within 14 days--requiring us to spend more money with the same company to recover half of what we'd already paid. We declined and are taking the bench back. Furniture sometimes doesn't work in a space. My one-star review is about how Summer Classics handled the problem afterward. For a $12,000 purchase from a premium furniture retailer offering professional design assistance, the customer service was extraordinarily disappointing. I would not purchase from them again. And their manager is extremely rude.

Spent an hour on the phone with customer service - I may as well had a conversation with the table itself because again, absolutely NO resolution or help. I should have thrown it away and disputed the charge. Not the level of service you would expect from a "high end" retailer like Pottery Barn! Good luck to anyone else with a customer service issue.
