Day before Valentine's Day. I go in. A couple of ok looking pre made flowers. Lady tells me she will not do a custom bouquet. No problem. 24 roses were $350... if I catch any of you spending that much for weltering Costco roses I will publicly shame you. My mother picked out a flower arrangement from the web site to be delivered. What was delivered was nothing like what she picked out. Tried to call up to find out what happened and some arrogant, rude and quite crazy woman answered the phone. She was going nuts because she's the "designer" (what a joke) and that she makes beautiful arrangements. Telling my mom she's wrong. Then the next morning, this nut job starts texting my mom at 6am explaining how my mom was wrong again. I tried to get ahold of an owner but that is impossible. The lady who answered the phone will not give her name nor the owners info. I went to the shop it self and they are always closed. Save yourself time and money and go to a real florist. read more

Argyle seems to specialize in screwing up funeral arrangements according to previous reviews. My husband died and I realized in the early morning of the afternoon funeral home visitation that I never ordered family flowers! Argyle was nearby-high end and expensive or so I thought -from my previous shopping there for Christmas wreaths/decor. So I phoned Argyle -grief stricken and upset-and explained the situation. I told them I didn't care about price (BIG mistake) but trusted ( another big mistake) them to provide something beautiful. The owner, Marissa, described a standing wreath with seasonal flowers ( I asked for roses to be included) with a ribboned message. When we arrived for the private family visitation, I noticed a really tacky and a bare standing wreath that was an eyesore amid the beautiful flower arrangements. It was mine! It looked like it came from Michael's but Michael's would have been nicer. It appeared artificial, but the few flowers-no roses-were real and heavily padded with filler. The kicker was the ribbon across the wreath; letters were cheap gold paper self adhesives and sloppily placed; it looked like a 7 year old did it. This was my husband's funeral! The family was upset; the funeral home stepped in, took it away, and had their florist redo it. They replaced the tacky ribbon. The cost on my credit card was $351.00! I called owner Marissa who was rude, insulting, and kinda irrational; she would accept $250-and would get back to me. I called my bank and offered $100 but it wasn't even worth that. Haven't heard from Argyle. This is not the way you treat customers...not to mention grieving customers-hope my bank comes through.. never disputed a charge before like this. read more

I thought I had hopes for this store to support a local shop. I went in to order flowers to be delivered to my house for my mom on Mothers Day. I gave the worker my number my address and my number. I waited all day for them to get delivered and they weren't. Spent $76 for them to be delivered but they weren't. Thanks for that. I wanted to send an arrangement to my friend who was opening in a show at the Argyle Theatre down the street that night and I looked for local Florists and found this one. It was a little after noon and the show opened at 7:30. I called their shop and no one answered. So I clocked the link to their website and found a nice arrangement and orders it online. I received an email confirmation right after I ordered. Then no one sent the flowers & when I called I got their service. They told me to call back the next day. I did. Finally someone answered and they said it was Teleflora not sending them the order and to call them... Monday Well Teleflora is open Sunday and the order number on the email was not one of their numbers Basically they have some kind or scam operation going on and they don't really have anyone there who handles online orders?? Cute shop right next to Argyle Lake. Got my Christmas tree here - a small tabletop tree perfect for an apartment with not a lot of free space! Best thing is that is a live tree (in a small planter) so I can give it to my mom who has the green thumb post-holidays to plant so that it can grow. Because if I am entrusted with that task, it won't live to see Valentine's Day. I kill green things. I have a problem. They have fun little things for your garden and a nice selection of flowers. Maybe a bit more pricey than some other places, but can't complain about spending $10 for a large potted poinsettia. Large potted poinsettia - say that 10 times fast! Check out the back area for more of a selection. Park as if you're going to the lake/playground. Friendly service here as well, and the shop is super cute inside. read more

I sent a beautiful arrangement from argyle for under $30 with only an $8 delivery fee (it was going to north bab). Very reasonably priced and a lot of beautiful selections. read more

So, I can see absolutely see what everyone is saying about this place. It was actually the last place I wanted to go to but I was getting desperate for getting plant life in my new home that I took a chance with this place. Keep in mind, I went mid-March and nurseries aren't supplying enough house plants till after Easter (good rule of thumb).First of all, it was closed for at least an hour while the owner was making deliveries which is weird cause the person who answered the business phone was the sales associate who eventually sold me the plants. Second of all, you've really got to read every single care tag and label. They've clearly bought cheaper plants from other nurseries as filler for their shop since most of their larger plants are beautiful, strong and lovely which meant VERY EXPENSIVE. And I'll reserve what I felt about the owner from this review to be absolutely fair on the experience. The woman who helped me and my boyfriend was highly knowledgeable about plants and clearly passionate about plant life which was a plus. The actual greenhouse is serene and intimate which I like. What we bought were better in prices than the other places we went to physically and online (helps to do research first folks!). And we even bought 10-gallon ceramic pots for less than $30 and that rarely happens. I ended up buying this beautiful fiddle-leaf fig tree, an oxalis/purple shamrock, a sansevieria, Chinese evergreen and two large ceramic pots. Honestly, I felt good about my purchase but would most likely come back if I was really desperate again. There are a lot of plants there and it's so tempting to buy them at their adulthood since it's visually appealing versus a young sprout but it was more of an impulsive buy for me to be there. For example, I had a snake plant in mind but a little one to keep the other ones happy and I ended up with a 4 footer. lol. I had an overall great experience despite the weird events that happened but I wouldn't really recommend this place to a friend or someone trying to start out. They're not really a gardening supply store. It's purely a boutique nursery. I'm so far happy with my plants but I was smart about what I had in mind and I know to spread the love to other businesses when it comes to plants. Worst service ever. Back in February, I ordered an arrangement ON THEIR WEBSITE to be delivered for a birthday. The flowers never arrived and we called them the next day to see what happened. They asked us to write an email which we did. Three times. No one ever got back to us. Today, I decide to go there in person with my confirmation email to see if they could at least give me some form of credit. Mother's Day is tomorrow so I figured I could get my mom an arrangement with partial credit or something. I go in, tell the lady in the front what happened and she says someone will help me in a minute. After standing there for 10-15 minutes the lady comes back to the front and says I would have to speak to the owner about this and made it seem like the owner wasn't there. I explain that I was hoping maybe I could get a small arrangement for Mother's Day and she says they are not taking any more deliveries for tomorrow. I said I'd be more than willing to pick them up myself. The owner was in the back of the store the whole time and the lady helping me would go back and forth to deliver my message and tell me what she said. She must've gone 5 times. I don't understand why the owner wouldn't talk to me herself. She comes back the last time and says they're sorry and there's nothing they can do. I was a bit confused because the mistake was on their end and the way they handled it was so unprofessional and inconsiderate. They made me feel like I was in the wrong and told me I should void it from my credit card. The owner came out in the end raising her voice at me and was very rude. Never getting flowers from here again and I suggest no one runs the risk of ordering an arrangement from them online. order flowers for my fathers funeral. I was told it would a American Flag pillow (small) to put in the casket. I was told it would be red and blue flowers. What I got was 2 red roses with blue and white ribbon tied around them on a white lace paper. I was charged $99 for this.... I recommended all family and friends to use Argyle for their flower orders. I have order flowers over the years from Argyle and was always pleased. They must have new owners/management. The funeral home called to complain and I have to complain. We were both brushed and they did not care. I recommend no one to order from Argyle. Very unprofessional. read more

I ordered flowers for a very dear friend's birthday, as I live 100 miles away. I made it clear to the person on the phone that I was pretty selective about flowers and I didn't want to sound difficult, but wanted to be accommodated. When I asked what they had in stock, the woman said "we have a lot of things." She wouldn't narrow it down. So I thought it would be easier if I looked at the arrangements online as a starting point. When I asked about the bright arrangement called "End of the Rainbow," she said they didn't have pink gerbera daisies. I asked if they could do something similar by substituting alstromeria. What my friend got looked nothing like this. It was full of hydrangeas. We never talked about hydrangeas and the arrangement wasn't bright. I'm trying not to be annoyed, after spending $75. But I'm not sure I'd call here again. Frankly, the person on the phone lacked customer service and clearly didn't understand what I had requested. Very disappointed. read more

Just received my annual Thomas Kinkade Christmas arrangement from my sister in law, this year through Argyle Florist. This is the first time I am extremely DISAPPOINTED!!! From their own website you can see what the piece is supposed to look like, as well as from Tela Flora, it is pitiful to say the least. Instead of full red roses, I have 3 white rosettes, 3 small carnations and 3 small mums. Oh, let me not forget the 4 pine cones and the white twig. When I called to express my dismay, I was spoken to by an very rude female who basically told me too bad, it is what it is. I decided to take the arrangement there with their website on my iPad, to show them a clear difference in what I received and what should've been. Not only was I spoken to worse in person, the nasty female from the phone turned it over to an Asian female who was even nastier and had the audacity to tell me she upgraded it on her own and gave carnations instead of roses, 2 extra pine cones and the twig as a courtesy!!! And all that for $80 plus tax and delivery!!!!!! After a little arguing, I left, with my pathetic excuse for an arrangement, as my daughter and I rounded the building, the owner, a white haired man, charges towards us from the back door, yelling how dare we yell at his employees and complain and we have no reason to be unhappy blah blah blah........THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS PATHETIC, BRING YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!!!! read more

I had a terrible experience here and would never go back. Bought a corsage for my sons date for junior prom. I asked for a sparkly wrist band and got a pearl one. Not at all what I asked for. They blamed the poor lady that worked there for the error. They begrudgingly took off $5.00 from the price. My son put the corsage on his date and all the pearls flew off. I had to tie it with ribbon for her to keep it on long enough to walk in with it. She had to leave it on the table. I had pearls all over the floor. Luckily I don't have a dog or small child. I went back the next day with photos to get my money back and they refused, argued and again blamed the poor worker who helped me initially. Obviously the customer is not right in this shop. I requested a picture for them to try and replicate, I also agreed as a second choice to be as similar as possible. When my mother sent me a picture I was extremely disappointed in what they decided was similar. I am a florist as my profession as well, and not for nothing to tell me that it was similar is a complete joke. there were flowers in there that didn't even present themselvesves in the pitcutre. how can u sub a snap dragon for an orientasl lily. and why have a minimum delivery of 35 when 45$ wasn't enough for this particular order. When I called back to complain I was meet with huge attitude and I was basically told that I don't know what I'm talking about and that it was filled to value. Order my wedding flowers from this florist. I like to give my business to local stores. Unfortunately it was a nightmare. We sat with a sales agent for an order to order. We went back to go over the order and was there for a hour. Day before wedding a "flower designer" called and said she needed to to go over everything as she was doing the order. I wasnt happy as I was busy and asked her why she just doesnt go over it with the sales agent we sat with and she said she wasnt there. I also asked her if they could deliever the bouquets to the house by 9:30 for pictures and the rest to the hall - she took my address and said she would personally deliever them to the house. I also gave her the credit card number to pay balance. Day of wedding - 10:30 - no flowers - called the shop - the original sales agent answered and I asked her where are the bouquets - she says at the hall - I told her about my conversation with the flower designer and that she was going to deliever them to my house. The sales agent then says that woman stole my order and that she didnt even do my flowers!!!! I was furious but needed to finish getting ready and told her I would deal with this later. Got to all - everything was there. When I walked into the hall I say that the flower arrangements on the table were not what I odered. After the honeymoon we went to her with a table arragement - she said she did the best she could with it (not right colors and we specifically asked for no color but white and greenery) she put a red rose and red Christmas balls picks in in after we told her NO CHRISTMAS anything as this was a winter wedding not a christmas wedding - we also questioned her abot the whole thign with the flower designer - told her if the lady stole our info she needs to file a police report - she said she would only do that if it was on our account that she charge us multiple times??? really thats how you treat customers - thats wacky!!! She finally said she was sorry about the wrong flowers but never offered us any compensation for the wrong arragements. She constantly talked over us and really wasn't interested in hearing us out. What a horror - also on the bourguet I told her I didn;t want navy blue material wrapped around the stems - guess what I got - navy blue - she didnt listed to us when we placed the order or when we went back 0 she did what worked for her with no concern for us.
