I went upon recommendation of a friend because the Montreal winter was wrecking havoc on my skin. I was so impressed with the experience and the results. I'm so glad I decided to go to Alina. Although it's a bit of a trek out to Verdun from downtown Montreal is was so worth it. Alina is located in a small salon just down the street from the Metro station - its so unassuming you might even miss it. Her prices are so reasonable compared to some of the places in central Montreal. I guess that's one of the benefits of being located in Verdun as opposed to downtown. Alina is fantastic. She takes her time and she is very professional and knowledgable. I didn't know a lot about my skin type prior to visiting Alina but she does such a wonderful job of explaining ones skin type, the products she's using and the process she goes through for the facial. The products she uses are wonderful. After a couple of professional facials with Alina, I decided to purchase some of the products for home use. Alina suggested which products would be good for my skin but she in no way pressured me to purchase them (which is sometimes happen when you go for a facial). The products are so affordable for the quality and I swear by them now (although they are much harder to find now that I'm no longer in the Montreal area). I have now left Montreal and I have not been able to find someone who does facials that I am as happy with as I was with Alina. It's a shame because her facials were so good at such a reasonable price. I can't justify spending what some of the places charge now so I've decided to discontinue my monthly facials which is unfortunate because my skin is not nearly in the same great condition it was when I was going to Alina.

I have done this in the past with others service providers and was suprised to see that they offer the service at 150$ for initial visit then 50$ for upkeep appointments, (I had always been charged 250$ and 100$), so I took the chance and got the lashes. Nancy is the lash girl, and she is absolutely adorable, reliable, super accomadating and available, and she does a very good job. I highly recommend this place for this service, it is less expensive and she does a good job, I have also used their services for a mise en plis, and have been quite happy. Another plus for this place is that they have these VIP evenings for their clients every now and again, to have an information session (the event usually has some food and wine and prizes and gifts), which is a really nice way to show their clients they care. This is a salon/school, and you can choose the person pro or student, which can mean saving some money. The salon is very bright and clean, and in a great easy access location on Prince Arthur. If you or anyone you know is looking for some TLC spa services, at an affordable price, this should be your first stop.

Jenya is absolutely amazing, and I'm in love with her work. I just finished my second microblading appointment here (the touch-up), so I'm writing this with my new set of angry brows. For those who aren't familiar with the microblading process, the procedure consists of two sessions. You pay for both (the price of the second is technically included) after the first appointment. The first session takes about 2-2.5 hours, and the clinic takes their time to explain the steps to you very well. You tell Jenya the style you prefer, and she gives suggestions based on your face shape and her experience. The actual microblading doesn't hurt that much since they first apply an anaesthetic on your brows for about 30 minutes. The first time I saw my brows after microblading, it was honestly a bit shocking, even after I was told that they would initially be very bold. However, exactly like they said, the colour faded to about 50% after a week. I was pleased after that week (a little panicked during the week), and I know that I'll be happy after this week. Despite my scheduling hassles, they handled booking extremely well. It's essential that you book well in advance, since their schedule is full for two months. I asked them to call whenever they had a free slot, so I got my appointment and touch up a lot faster than I expected. Sona is so talented! I went in feeling tense and came out exhilarated. She worked all the pressure points and somehow knew exactly where it hurt. She gives receipts as well, which is nice for insurance. She's such a nice person too. I really felt comfortable with her. My only regret was not having asked for a longer massage.
