I normally feel comfortable in this store, but my experience today at the Dufferin location made me rethink shopping at this store. I'm pretty comfortable, as is my boyfriend with our sex life and like to laugh a bit, but be respectful and open when we come into stores like this. I was looking for a new vibrator, nothing overly expensive as the ones I have had previously last years and don't break the bank. We walked in and said hello, and I asked for vibrators under $50. The girl who served us was named Emily and she was so rude and judgemental about our low budget. She told me they didn't have any clitoral vibrators for under that price. We kept walking around and found many. She started following us around and made both of us feel really uncomfortable and awkward about the whole experience. I have never been followed around at a store like this, and generally people who work in an industry that can be sensitive understand customer service and how to make people feel comfortable. I ended up buying a $100 vibrator, not under her recommendation, but purely because I wanted to leave and I wasn't be cheap in the beginning, I just simply wanted a lower price point to spend money on other toys, but that didn't happen at all. Even at checkout when I declined a cleaner (perhaps because I already have one), Emily scoffed and told me I should think about getting one because soap and water will cause a yeast infection. Thanks for the tip. Very unprofessional and upsetting. read more
