What a find!! I got…read moremarried on a Sunday in Worcester and called all around looking for a salon to do my hair and my bridesmaids' hair. Almost every salon was closed or would charge me an arm and leg to come to the hotel. The situation was a nail biter until I called Salon West and found out that they were open! Although it is unnerving to go to a salon we had never used for the big day, we felt confident with the reviews online. I had fairly good expectations - but could not shake that shadow of doubt. We showed up for a trial - and was immediately put at ease. The salon has a very small, cozy and welcoming feel with big open windows, two stations for cutting, and a big red wall with the 2 additional sinks against it. I was happy with my trial, but after wearing it for the day I started noticing things that I wanted to change about it. Barbara was a joy, taking all of concerns, addressing them, and changing my updo style on the day of the wedding. My hair ended up looking more amazing than I had ever imagined! I absolutely loved it! In 6 hours, Barbra transformed the hair of 6 ladies. Each girl had a different style, and Barbra did such an amazing job executing our hair styles while maintaining our individual personalities! All of our hair lasted through the night. (We are in our mid-twenties and danced the night away with no worries!!) Barbra was so great and allowed us to basically take over the space for the day! We were doing our nails, munching on lunch, doing our make-up and hanging out. She was so easy to get along with - and was really fun to be around on the special day! Barbra, we'll never forget you! Congrats on your marriage as well! This was the best decision ever!! I'd recommend Barbra to anyone looking for a fun experience at a great salon! Also, it is worthy to note that the prices are extremely competitive - we could not have found a better deal... thanks again!

The inside is definitely a lot nicer and something you wouldn't expect from seeing the outside for sure. I'm pretty picky when it comes to hair, but what girl isn't. Carmen was awesome. She thoroughly explained every step she made and did suggestions on hair products that i could get to maintain my hair. She definitely lightened my hair as much as possible without destroying it. My hair is literally black by the way, so to go blonde as she did without completely destroying it in one sitting is impressive. Goal is eventually a grey color but had to go blonde first, the balayage she did looks amazing. Honestly if I wasn't planning on going grey for the winter I would be so happy keeping my balayage as is. Honestly I don't think pricing was that bad, I personally think that it's reasonable for what she did. Balayage prices start at 65 but honestly I've paid more and it doesn't come out as great. So I'd have to say pricing is reasonable. Can't wait to return for the final look in two weeks.

One day, a couple of years ago, I decided that was too much of a gamble and began searching for a new salon. I stumbled upon True in Westborough. Kerri, my stylist, suggested a new hair style for me and has been maintaining it ever since. I have been very happy with the service at True and especially with Kerri, cause she's awesome!! Even after having moved away from the area, I do not mind going a little bit out of my way for my haircut. The salon is clean and modern. They always offer you water, coffee or tea. There is a wireless network you can use and even some computers that customers use to surf the web when they have long hair treatments done. Of course, I don't have to wait because I always have an appointment scheduled.

I can't review all the stylists but I can say that Lori is the best stylist I have ever been to. Most of the time I go in having no idea what I want to have done and just put my trust in her... she always proves me right! This salon is always full of friendly faces and chatter. My mother and niece have seen one or two of the other stylists here and have always had nothing but good things to say. Call very far in advance to get an appt especially if you are booking with Lori. You cannot expect to call a week or two before and be able to get in with her... she is that good!
