After dealing with another contractor supply business, I was lucky to land on Arena Floors. What a breath of fresh air! Dawn and Josh were friendly and always attentive. Dawn offered design and material advice that helped me narrow down tile and flooring choices. They carry just about everything that would cover any surface, including but not limited to floors. Most recently I ordered bathroom wall and floor tile. Dawn was spot on with delivery dates and availability. Josh gave me a list of tile installers they work with and recommend, which was a very good starting point for the next step. Their prices are good. Had a great experience with Area Floors, specifically Josh. We had been working with Macadam Floor and Design before walking into Area, Macadam was terrible. First, it took forever to get samples. The first time we got samples the person we were working with seemed to forget to order them, then when we tried to get more we thought he ghosted us but actually it turns out he stopped working there (I got the vibe he was fired.) And then no one followed up? Like we just got dropped. At that point my husband and I walked into Area Floors to see if they could help us. Area doesn't do installation directly but Josh gave us a list of installers and the installer he recommended highly from that list was an ANGEL (Adam Rust). Like just a good person. I'll spare the long story but something unfortunate (unrelated to the carpet install) happened at my house the day he was there installing the carpet and he helped me out no questions asked. Did a great job installing the carpet too, totally seamless. Josh himself was very knowledgeable, communicative, and efficient; everything got done so quickly with no hassle. We felt totally lost and forgotten about working with Macadam but Josh was ON IT every step of the way. I have been working with Area Floors for about 3 years and love their responsiveness. I always send my clients there because they are so helpful and choosing everything that the client needs. They have a beautiful show room and it's very easy to select all of the items that we need for remodels. I do a lot of tile and flooring and they are definitely my go to showroom. I know that my clients will be treated well and it's also a great place that I can meet and go through the details of our project while we choose the materials that we are looking for. I own PDX Arrow Painting & Construction and have worked with several other suppliers that do not follow up with complaints on flooring and tile. We visited Area Floors today looking for new carpeting for our home. When we walked in, we went straight to the front salesperson, a brunette who had her face mask hanging on one ear by the side of her face. She started to look us up and I requested she wear her mask. She gave me a surprised look and then put it on. She kept putting our contractor details in etc. and I looked around to see that NONE of the sales people in the quad were wearing masks. She started to engage around our project and we decided to terminate the conversation and leave. This business obviously does not care about the implications of a pandemic on the health of their customers - I was absolutely shocked to see that they would preach about health and safety on their website and completely fail to wear masks. We went to a competitor who is religious about mask wearing and social distancing in their store. It is not worth catching a potentially lethal disease over flooring. Sorry, Area floors - we very much enjoyed working with you in the the past but this kind of blatant risk to customers is totally unacceptable. We will go give our $15k to them instead. I have waited a long time to write this review because I wanted to give Area Floors the benefit of the doubt but tonight I've just decided I have to say something. We've had the floor for almost two years now and for over a year i've tried to give them a chance to back their customer and product but they have declined all the way up to the owner. No floor that you spent good money on should look like it's 20 years old after two years. We've followed all instructions and yet they decided to do nothing about the finish peeling off on the flooring. Every time we look at our floors we're filled with regret. What should have been a great experience has turned into a nightmare. Area Floors does not stand behind their product and definitely does not step up to the plate when it comes to dealing with the manufacturer and for this I give them 1 star and that's only because I can't go lower. UPDATE: I left this same review on their Facebook page and they deleted it. Obviously the owner knows something is up. Unbelievable! Selling 2nd rate products at a 1st rate price has got to stop! I've posted photos of the floor...this right around 6 months after them being installed. read more

Brandi is the most inconsiderate, rude and downright mean business owner I've come across in many years. We ordered products for our daughter's new room back in November that were also paid for at that time and only one part of the order was placed. After receiving a phone call from Brandi on Friday (12/7) that they and I quote "dropped the ball entirely" they offered no effort to compensate us for our trouble. They also claimed we hadn't paid for the rug so we have to dig up the receipt from our bank since we paid over the phone. I received a call back from Brandi explaining that she decided to offer me a refund (umm no kidding- I NEVER received the product!!) and was a complete unprofessional jerk to me-speaking over me and yelling my name on the phone. I am currently 37 weeks pregnant with twins and this is very last thing I need. Next, she proceeded to issue a refund but instead CHARGED ME AGAIN FOR THE SAME AMOUNT ON MY CREDIT CARD. This required me to have to speak with her again at which she provided an even worse attitude. The SECOND charge for this never order, not received product is still pending and now I get the "opportunity" to have to deal with my credit card to dispute it. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere for your sake and your sanity. If I could leave zero stars in order to post this I would. read more

My wife and I recently purchased a house. We decided we wanted to update the flooring and we had heard good things about Area Floors from a good friend. We decided to head in and check them out. We were politely greeted with a smile by Andrea. She was very helpful and provided us useful information during our decision making process. We were looking at hardwood flooring and she informed us of the pros and cons of both solid and engineered wood floors. She was very knowledgeable. We ended up going with solid hardwood floors. Andrea kept is informed and up to date on shipping and delivery. The floors are now installed and my wife and I love them! We have nothing but good things to say both Area Floors, and Andrea! We have had such great service from all of the Area Floors locations. All of the rep's there are knowledgeable and helpful and they work hard to find products for our projects that will fit our clients' budget and timelines. Because we are remodeling contractors, we understand that certain products may be unavailable at times, but they always find a way to find something comparable. I am also impressed that Brandy and Josh have been very honest about certain products that may have recently failed in other applications and they steer us clear of those products that they've removed from their shelves after issues arise. Some of the artisan tile we really wanted has been discontinued and he spent a good deal of time trying to figure out an alternative - he ended up talking to the manufacturer, rather than the seller, who was willing to sell to us directly. If you want to be quoted prices that are wrong, then told its three times more than we told you after you placed your order, come visit Area Floors! If you want to be treated badly and argued to by the owner/manager, come visit Area Floors. We will take care of none of your needs. Ask for Brandy! ASAP. My Contractor recommended that I go here to choose the tile for the bathroom and kitchen that we were remodeling and that he worked with them and had an account with them. The selection is ok, which I understand is a matter of preference and taste. Being tight on timelines I went in immediately and spent an hour and half working with their team on Foster that were very helpful. I found a tile from a vendor that they recommended for quality and value for what you get. I got the price, I notified our contractor and he placed the order. I get a call later that the price was published incorrectly from the vendor and even the vendor was unaware of it. Because of time on my end to go searching for another tile as well as for the project we insisted that they stick to the price that the vendor gave them as it was published and we were quoted on it and placed the order. I asked to speak to the owner/manager Brandy and she immediately got on the phone and was combative and defensive. She cut me off numerous times and made it clear that she was providing good "customer service" by not empathizing with the situation and trying to work with me on a compromise. I have been in this situation a few times before where a retailer has made an error on pricing and honors it on principal. You cant quote someone a price, let them place an order and then practically triple the price after you place an order. In the digital age of Amazon these stand alone brick and mortar shops only differentiator is their people and service. Clearly Brandy at Area Floors is not about that. If you want to be treated badly and argued to, come visit Area Floors. Tell your contractor to go with someone else if they treat the person thats ultimately paying for the floors like a third class citizen then they must not care about anyone. Customer service. The definition of "Customer Service" is the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase. Area Floors supplied the tile and carpet for my home renovation. I got an unbelievable deal on fantastic Shaw carpeting as well as gorgeous tile for our kitchen backsplash. Area Floors also put us in touch with great contractors to do the work. Tim Donogh installed our backsplash and Larry McNear installed our carpet. Our house turned out so beautiful that we got a full price offer the day we listed it! I highly recommend Area Floors, Tim, and Larry. When we first visited the store about 2 months ago everything was great. Customer service was superb and the whole process went great. Marty who is the installer of our carpet met with us about 2 months ago and all was good. We were told at that time to just move nick nacks and a few other items and they would move the rest. Yesterday when Marty arrived at our home, in a somewhat grumpy mood, which was really odd as the first time completely different person. My husband asked are you having a bad day. Not really a response at all. Needless to say we were told to move end tables glass table tops lamps with no help. If we had known this we would have had this all done before they arrived. Carpet looks great and then Marty and helper moved our sofa, chair and automan. We went to get a check and with moving those 2 items were charged 25.00. This probably took 5 minutes to do, kind of ridiculous when you think about it. I would give the store 5 stars but with the issue went down to 3. read more
