The auditorium well accommodated all registrants. Every Modern high-tech aspect one could ever want or need for that matter. The conference center catered to our every request. Presenters were able to move about freely with mobile sound mic kits--- so perfect. Who likes to stand behind a podium for hours?? Noooo way! Nor were you required to do so. It is my experience that attendees are 100% more interactive and engaging when uninstructed. Auditorium Seating as expected, of course, with comfortable swivel chairs and tables for note taking. Very spacious conference space. By the way, the campus conference center building 200 is undergoing massive renovation but did not at all interrupt our meeting. Sound was impeccable. Meeting was not impacted by construction noise.

From their website, we found enough information to spark our interest. They have an oval shaped, semi banked clay track that is of a mile. We've enjoyed dirt track racing (years ago), so we decided to go. The website showed this event... ALL STAR SHOOTOUT iStock, Southern Sport Mods, IMCA Modified The 3 classes of race cars are unknown to us, but we were undeterred. The cost was $20 (or $15 for seniors or kids). Reasonable. We had a great, 4 hours of high octane fun. There were many heats in each class of car that resulted in 3 final races to determine the champions. Lots of thrills all evening. It was nice that we were allowed to bring our own coolers with adult beverages. I assumed that it was because they don't have a license. Sure enough, the concessions area didn't sell beer. So, if you like it, you better bring it. The concessions area did have a nice selection of burgers, nachos, frito pie, etc. and soft drinks. All are very reasonably priced.

Tonight it was a different story. We went to Skatelands Denison for the KPOP Demon Hunter night was a mismanaged disaster. Kids getting knocked over, adults and kids trying to take the trainers from mine and other kids. Way overcrowded and completely understaffed. Gong show at best. Spent $52 for 3 kids to skate (I was charged and had no intention of skating) plus trainers for the kids. Was there barely an hour and witnessed at least a dozen kids getting hurt and two of my three ended up getting hurt by other people falling onto them resulting in them falling. I talked to the owner on the way out stating my displeasure over the crowded environment and injuries. Response was something like "I can't control how many people show up to these things". Yes, you can actually. This event should have had tickets sold in advance with either a more limited or timed capacity. Not just letting hundreds of people in like a herd of cattle waiting to go to pasture. The private party I held for my daughter a few weeks prior was almost $900 after gratuity. For the owner not to give a care about my comments was really disappointing. As a result I told him flat out I will not have additional birthday parties for my other kids there.
