I'm so happy he made the decision to use Dr. Gray as our family doctor, especially now that he is 66! I recommended Dr. Gray to my sister and her husband and they both quickly made appointments with her female and male nursing staff [respectively] and both were delighted with their visits. Thanks Dr. Gray! My visit was painless, the staff were professional and friendly, the office itself was comfortable and modern with a happy feel and was super clean with attention to detail such as bright colored foam pieces that almost looked like architectural features on the walls to absorb sound. She texts you a link to complete your medical history online which did take about 20+ minutes since I have a large family, hence a lot of family medical history to disclose. This paid off, as it was convenient, I didn't have to print any documents to take with me, and it was electronically signed on my phone and sent back to their office in plenty of time for my appointment. Dr. Gray herself is happy, pleasant, friendly, and a ball of positive energy! She listened intently, took notes on a small laptop she carried around with her and filled my prescriptions ASAP, which I picked up without issue at Publix. She provided hard-copy referrals for bloodwork, mammograms, etc., and get this - my appointment was on a Saturday -- what MD has Saturday appointments?!?!?!?! I think this was an anomaly, because I had a weekday appointment that was cancelled and the staff called me to reschedule on Sat., stating, "Dr. Gray got a little behind and is working Sat. to get caught up." I noted 12 Sat. patients as I signed in for my appointment. The wait was maybe 15 minutes and I think I spent 30 minutes between talking with her nurse and then Dr. Gray. She also owns a [my words] Medspa, and does procedures such as botox and also weight loss. I think it is called "Better Weighs to Better Health." I [and my sister] liked the fact that she will do your bloodwork in her office for a $10.00 fee, which is a nice feature. She is affiliated with Athens-Limestone hospital which is right across the street. My sister said that, at her recent appointment with the nurse practitioner, the office pictured, was relocating in an adjacent building and had become, or added on an urgent care feature. I don't have any details about this so don't quote me. Thank you Dr. Gray and staff for your kindness and professionalism - my family are so happy and confident we are in good hands with your office!

I want to start by saying I think very highly of Dr. Allman. She is an excellent doctor--thorough,…read moreattentive, and conveniently located for our family. However, her practice is in desperate need of a capable office manager. Years ago, when we were looking for a family doctor to care for our family of five, choosing Dr. Allman was an easy decision. Unfortunately, the challenges began during COVID when we were informed that she 'does not see sick patients.' Post-COVID, accessing care has only become more frustrating. Currently, the only members of my family who can seem to get appointments are my wife for routine medicine management and my younger daughter. For example, my oldest daughter, who is in college, was home for Christmas but was treated as a new patient and couldn't be scheduled until late January. My youngest daughter, an active patient, would have waited weeks to be seen for a recurring UTI. My son needed an appointment recently, and he were turned away entirely. It appears the practice prioritizes routine well-checks, lab work, and medication management over acute care needs that really need a good doctor. This is extremely disappointing because I truly like Dr. Allman and value her as a physician. Unfortunately, a doctor-patient relationship is not sustainable if we cannot receive care when we need it most. Urgent care clinics are not thorough, and they lack access to patient history, which makes them less than ideal. It's truly a shame that the administrative issues in this office have compromised such a valuable doctor-patient relationship. If you can get appointment, take it! Otherwise...find another doctor if you expect your family doctor to be "your doctor" in most things.

I was told she would put it a referral and someone would call me. After about a week I called and told them I never heard from anyone. He said he would look into it and call me back. A few days later I called again, and was told the same thing. I called the next day and was told the same thing. I called the next day, no one answered so I left a detailed message asking someone to please call me back. It's been weeks and I've never heard from Dr Booker or anyone at her office. I was told we would go over the lab work, and I never heard about that either. Other than the terrible experience, the office is in severe need of cleaning. There is stuff literally everywhere. On every surface. Papers, instruments, computers, just piles and piles and piles of stuff. I've never been to an office that was so messy. There also appears to be no staff? Dr Booker herself came and retrieved me from my car, then she weighed me, took my height and vitals and preformed the checkup all herself. I will say she was very thorough with the checkup and any concerns I had but otherwise it was horrible!

Every visit I've ever had the Dr. is very impersonable and cold. She doesn't volunteer much information, you have to know the exact things to ask to get anything out of her. The business hours are horrible and you can barely get a hold of anyone over the phone. Then when you are able to actually get an appointment you have to wait in your car and most of the time wait a good bit after your scheduled appointment time. I had a visit to see if I had strep throat and instead of giving me the usual antibiotics (z pack) she gave me something else. After almost a week I called back and finally got in touch with someone and she finally prescribed me the something else after I had suffered with a bad case of strep. Fast forward a couple months and I had to go to the ER. They did blood work and signed paperwork to send it to my Dr. I've now been calling for 3 months to try to get the info from my Dr. and have to call multiple days to get someone and it's always the same answer, "we'll check and let you know by the end of the day". Finally got to speak to the Dr. and she was rude and short to me and told me to go check at the hospital or I would have to drive to their office and sign a release form, which i'm almost certain I already did. I said I wish that would've been told to me in the beginning. She made some other rude remark so I told her she can take me off the patient list. Terrible experience and waste of time altogether. Very sad you can't even get info about your own medical situation and you are paying a Dr. who speaks to you so rudely and doesn't care if you get your info or not. Would not recommend to anyone. Moving on to someone else.

I am not a fan of doctors and spent decades steering clear (home remedies, duct tape on bad wounds etc.) of them until I had my first visit (she came highly recommended from a podiatrist) due to extreme gout pain I had been dealing with for years, A dr. who actually talks to you getting to know you and your issue(s) and explaining the different ways you can attack to cure/treat. This is how it should be done. EVERY dr. in this country should be booking a visit as a patient with Dr. G and learning this is what patients deserve. I would go to the ends of the earth for these two women due to how much better I feel today both physically and how that has made me feel mentally. It is very rare to come across people you meet that you have true great respect for how they go about their jobs, and I feel lucky to have become a patient of Dr. Gannon's.
