I can't say enough good things about my experience at Arden Gate with Courtney. She is very knowledgeable and gave me great advice on what to do with my brows and liner. I was particularly worried about doing something too harsh as I am 62. She did the perfect amount of natural enhancement for me - I love the results. read more

Courtney is very warm, personable and skilled. I've had work done before, and it was painful, and didn't turn out as I had hoped. My experience with Courtney was completely the opposite. I am very satisfied with her work, and it really was painless. I am looking forward to getting my liner done next time and regular services in the future. Thank you Courtney! read more

Courtney was amazing!! Whole process was quick and painless! She was very thorough with direction and what to expect. Results are amazing!! I'd definitely recommend her to anyone and will definitely be back!! read more

Wow!! First of all, Courtney was a delight to work with. The studio is professional and clean, with proper barriers to prevent infection. She spent about half our time drawing the perfect eyebrows for my face, educated me along the way of the choices she made, and made me feel at ease for my first permanent make-up application. Second, my eyebrows look fantastic! I can't believe I waited so long to get them done. I definitely nodded off during the procedure at one point because of the topical used to numb the area. After the initial application she spent time looking at my brows from all angles to touch up areas as needed. She prepared me honestly about the healing process and what to expect. After care is concise and I am in love with my more symmetrical look! read more

Not going to lie, I went into this with quite a bit of trepidation. I'm in my early 60s and have been losing definition in my brows for years. I've had to fill in my brows daily and never been happy with the results. My daughter had her brows done by Courtney and they turned out SO GOOD but again, getting a tattoo on my face was a bit frightening to me. After almost 2 years of considering it, I pulled the trigger. My daughter kept telling me "trust the process" and I'm so glad I did. This experience was incredibly satisfying. I can't help but smile when getting out of the shower and having a FACE in the mirror! Courtney was very matter of fact and instilled a lot of confidence in her abilities to get this right. I admit, I was a little put off that she didn't ask for my input on how I wanted my brows to turn out, she just got to work. I kept telling myself "trust the process, trust the process" and my brows turned out fantastic. It's been three weeks since my appointment and I'm still over the moon happy. I'm looking forward to the final step in the process and having brows that I'm proud of. read more

Courtney is amazing! She is super responsive, detail-oriented, and a true professional - everything a person should want in a cosmetic tattoo artist. I was a total newbie to tattoos and facial procedures, and she put me at ease. She explained what to expect, checked in with me throughout the process, and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. My results are healing well and look natural, just as I'd asked for. It's so great to not have to do my eyebrows and put on lip liner! She is so great that I'm actually considering going back for eyeliner. Who would have thought? Bonus points for a space with a cool vibe and awesome tunes. read more

I just had my touch-up appointment for my brows and eyeliner, plus, I had her do my lips that needed some corrections from a previous artist. Courtney is phenomenal at what she does! I went into my initial appointment concerned about the level of pain because my previous cosmetic tattooing experience with my lips was excruciating, and I sat through a tattoo on my ribs without issue, just for reference. I appreciated her skill with numbing, the light touch that gets great results, as well as how good she was at setting expectations of what would/wouldn't work with my skin type. Will definitely go back for retouches and recommend her to anyone! read more

Courtney was amazing!! Super personable and easy to chat with. She has trained extensively with many professionals, both nationally and internationally, in order to gain all the valuable knowledge and experience that she has in her own professional repertoire. Also, she has the lightest touch, and so overall a painless and pleasurable experience. She is versed in several different types of services and techniques, and she will be completely honest with you when giving you her professional opinion. 100% recommended!! read more

Courtney is AMAZING! Believe all of the five star reviews! She knows her stuff and her work is exceptional! I spent so much time looking up different makeup artists in the Vancouver/Portland area. Courtney was the only person with stellar reviews! She is thorough in her work and was so patient with me even when I was so anxious! I had the powder/ombré eyebrow procedure which took an hour and a half. I have VERY sensitive and dry skin. I did bleed a bit during the procedure when typically Courtney said people don't bleed, however look how beautifully they're healing! Go see Courtney, people! read more

Well update. I did get the powder brows but I wish I had done more homework and found someone who could do black and wish I'd done the nano brows. Once healed my brows are an orange-brown. I needed black to match my hair. And I'm not a fan of the powder brows. After 2 months I'm back to coloring them in. Loved Courtney and the studio but I wish I had stuck to what I wanted. I kind of feel like I'm back to where I started read more

Courtney is the BEST!! I first had my brows done a few years ago. I was due for a refresh. Her new technique of all machine strokes is amazing! I had my brows refreshed, and also had her tattoo a shadowed eyeliner. I don't wear any other makeup, so this is perfect to keep me feeling put together. She constantly measures your comfort level, and it's nearly completely painless! I'm sold for life!!! (First service was also by her!) read more

I'd been following Courtney's work for many months and was so excited when I had the chance to get my brows done. She's a true artist and knows how to put you at ease if you're nervous. I have always been self conscious about my brows, never wanting to leave the house without at least my brows done because they're so thin and sparse. And I could not be happier with Courtney's work. It's been almost 4 months since my first service and a couple of months since my touch up. I love how my brows look and have so much more confidence when I leave the house. I highly recommend Courtney. read more

Amazing! I have done some significant research before booking my appointment here. Courtney was such a pleasure to work with and what really got me was not only her amazing portfolio but her communication. She emailed me back quickly with answers and didn't make me feel stupid with my abundant questions. The whole procedure was fantastic as well. I got the eyeliner done and throughout the tattoo she made sure I was OK, didn't feel pain, and was informative about aftercare. It looks amazing too! I highly recommend checking out her portfolio and getting booked sooner rather than later since she is highly desired and booked out for a while. You will not regret it! read more

Courtesy is exceptionally talented and great at addressing my concerns. I would absolutely love to book another service with her.

This is my second time going to Arden Gate Studio for my powder brows. Courtney did my initial service 2 years ago and I was pleased with the results. She talked me through the initial process and answered all of my questions. Upon returning a few days ago to refresh my brows, I was again very pleased with the professionalism, friendly and attentive service I received. Highly recommend! read more

Courtney is the epitome of a professional and a master at her art. From scheduling to procedure, everything was easy to do and went smoothly. I did a lot of research before deciding to trust Courtney to do my eyebrows and am so thankful I did. Even my husband commented on how he has seen bad permanent makeup jobs but was impressed with my eyebrows, even after the first service only. The facility is very clean as well. Country does a great job communicating before the appointment on what to expect, where to park, etc. She made the entire process easy and comfortable. read more

I have completed the first of many scheduled appts with Courtney. She has a full book of business, but works multiple hours and days of the week to get many appts in. This helps you not have to wait months to get in. Her pricing seems fair for the custom result you get. Completed: Lash line enhancement - There is no input from the client needed on this as the pigment goes directly into the lash line. The width depends on the number of rows of lashes, deep. Four rows of lashes deep have a thicker line than those with one. I am sharing this info, because I did not know this when going in for my appt. Scheduled For: Powder Brows and Lip Blush While looking online, you will also see examples of eyeliner and eyeshadow. These you would have input on. Read every post on her Instagram. It will help prepare you. Read every email and handout to get the best results. She is very good at her craft, in high demand, and booked out far. So take what appts you can get and never miss one. There aren't many options for mature, aging, troubled skin, etc. I did a lot of research, was referred to her and happy with my decision. I see more bad work than good. Most permanent tattoo artists are young, have young clientele and all their work looks the same. You don't want to look stenciled, like an Angry Bird or have to pay for removal and correction which takes 6 months to do. If you are still reading this... Schedule with Courtney. Then screen shot the work on her pages you like and save them to a folder on your phone. You'll show her when you go in. It's easy to trust the process and your face with Courtney. read more

I did some research before I chose Courtney @ Ardengate. And I'm so glad that I chose her. She is awesome--the ultimate professional. I had both my brows and eyeliner done. So happy that I did. Go to Courtney, you'll be very satisfied. read more

First time getting my brows done and Courtney was fantastic. She explained everything she was going to do and why she was going to do it. She spent so much time getting them perfect for my face shape while working with my natural brow shape. I loved them immediately after the first appointment and love them even more now after a few months. Now, all I do to leave the house is apply mascara and lip gloss. I'm THRILLED! I highly recommend Arden Gate for any permanent cosmetic needs! read more

I can't say enough about how talented Courtney is. My brows were thinner and I started thinking about maybe micro blading. A friend recommended Courtney a year ago. I thought about it. Then I met a nail tech that had beautiful eyebrows, she said ArdenGate in Vancouver. Then a few weeks later I saw a patient with amazing makeup and eyeliner/shadow. I thought she must have found someone super talented and then I learned it was Courtney. I did more research about everyone between Eugene and Washington. I kept coming back to Courtney's work. There wasn't a bad picture in her entire portfolio, her measurements were perfect, and color was amazing! I totally wanted to avoid the yucky grey tattoo eyebrows that turn purple. So I scheduled with Courtney. After all that, I ran into a nurse that had great eyebrows and had to ask..... She too had them done by Courtney! I finally felt confident that this woman was pure talent with cutting edge technique and I could do this! The procedure didn't hurt. Courtney is my new BFF, she is soooo fun. Her work is flawless and I look freaking hot with my eyeliner and combo brows. Prices are so reasonable for the quality you get! read more

So I would like to preface my review by saying that I was very anxious to go through the process of having my eyebrows microbladed (I ended up getting combo brows). But I waited to provide a review until after the entire process was complete to see how things turned out. Here we go The day I went in for the initial service, I was shaking. I had done all of my research about microblading, combo brows, the healing process, and the fact that it would not look immediately how it's going to look after the brows have healed. I felt confident that I was going to the right place and I'd made the right decision. The waiting room is super cute and decorated with vintage style decorum. It's very comfortable when you walk in and courtney's presence made me feel at ease regardless of my nerves. Courtney was very accommodating and before we started we had a conversation and she made an extra point to mention that because I have lighter hair/skin, the initial service would be more dramatic right after as compared to when the eyebrows are fully healed. I confirmed that I understood this and then we started. To start, she did a mapping of the exact shape that my brows would be formed into. She showed me and would ask if there's anything I wanted to change, but I trusted her judgement with the shape because I've consistently had the propensity to over estimate the size of my brows (ie why I got them done). Also, the outlining will make it look like the brows will be bigger than they are. I was shocked at first when she showed me, but trust me that you shouldnt judge until after your brows are healed. The outlining looks bigger than what they're be. Also, I was afraid it would hurt. I have tattoos so I thought maybe it would feel in some slight way like a tattoo even though I knew there would be numbing cream. This is not comparable to tattoo pain and you'll barely feel it. So I wouldnt worry about the pain bc there honestly isn't any. So about an hour went by, and we're all done. Court hands me the mirror and my heart drops. I feel sick. I was not expecting to see what I saw, but I looked completely different at first and the shock was hard to get over. Courtney could tell that I was in shock so she reassured me that it's entirely normal for them to look larger/much bolder right away. The warm undertones of the ink is also more apparent when you get the initial service as opposed to after they heal, so they looked pretty red at first. Again, I have very very fair skin and dirty blonde hair, so my eyebrows are naturally a lighter ash brown color. I went home feeling slightly apprehensive, but also hopeful and trying to remain optimistic in reminding myself of all the research I had done. Regardless of my efforts to reassure myself before that it would look different after it's healed, I don't think you can truly do anything to prepare yourself for the sheer shock of seeing yourself after freshly microbladed brows (especially when you've had tiny brows your whole life). It's definitely enough to throw you into a tizzy. I was also pmsing so kinda just on edge. Anyway.. Flashforward to today and I just had my touch-up done since things reopened after the quarantine. I LOVE my eyebrows. After they healed fully I was in love. I sent pics to friends/family and they all told me that the shape looked really good. I think I was just so used to seeing such skinny brows that seeing anything different is really shocking. Moral of the story, trust the process. Courtney's a professional and she'll be there to give moral support too if you have a little meltdown like I did. And at the end of the day your brows look amazing without having to wear makeup. I'm so happy I did it. Thank you again!!! read more

I saw Courtney for classic eyeliner, and I couldn't be happier. She did an amazing job and it's absolutely gorgeous! She checked in with me often and made sure I was comfortable and doing okay. I highly suggest going to see Courtney at Arden Gate Studio. I've seen her 3 times over the years for eyeliner and I couldn't recommend her more. Her attention to detail is top notch, she's a master at her technique. She is very relatable, professional and takes the time to listen to what you're looking for with permanent makeup. Of all the cosmetic things/procedures I have had done over the years, this has by far been the best money I've spent. I love having eyeliner everyday that doesn't melt off my oily lids. Absolutely fantastic experience with Arden gate studios. Courtney Durham is an absolute artist and professional, and entirely down to earth, which made my first tattoo experience as positive as I could've hoped. She was flexible and accommodating and communicative every step of the way. I started with a consult and had my appt. 2 weeks later. Everything was wonderful and her studio is comfortable, clean, and incredibly cool. She's just a fantastic person to spend the afternoon with and I appreciated how frequently she checked in about my comfort. Great playlist for the session as well and couldn't have asked for a better experience. She was spot on about post-session experience and I can't wait to go back for my touch up. I had my upper and lower liners done, & my brows too. Started with a consultation (I recommend this step), and continued to add on services as I went. Arden Gate Studio Permanent Makeup - Bottom left is my natural brows. The bottom right is after the first procedure. The pic on to is after my touch up! Love My brows!!!! - Tattoo Removal Near Me - Vancouver, Washington

I contemplated getting my brows done for quite some time. I found Arden Gate and Courtney through a Facebook recommendation in a podcast fan group (long story...) and followed her on Instagram for awhile before pulling the trigger. She has frequent posts with tons of information (pre, post, and healed pics, cost, pain level, healing time, etc). She is very fast at responding to questions, has an easy-to-navigate website, and an easy online booking process. I got my combo brows done 1 week ago and am so thrilled! Courtney is very up front with what to expect during healing (dark, thick appearing brows) and even includes a cute infographic timeline on her aftercare sheet. Because of this, I was able to better suppress my initial anxiety over how dark and thick my brows looked for the first few days. By day 4, however, they suddenly looked FANTASTIC and much more natural (see pic!). She clearly knows her stuff! She is very detail oriented, which this type A customer can very much appreciate. The brow mapping process is awkward...but I'm not much for eye contact or having people stare at me for prolonged periods of time. It definitely seems it was worth it though! I'm really looking forward to how much time I'll save each morning when doing my makeup! Be sure to read her emails as your appointment approaches! There's very helpful info about parking and finding her suite. read more
