This is the best Chicken in the State of Utah, and maybe it's state of Idaho. I say Utah, because that's where I reside and I drive to this place to eat favorable food, something lacking in the state of Utah. Located within a gas station next to the I-15 in Downey, Idaho they stop making the chicken about 45 minutes before the restaurant is going to close. This shows the care taken in preparing. It's not your run of the mill KFC joint where chicken is slapped, patted and put in a oven while annoying child like employee's talk on their phone and don't take the time to watch your greased filled bird. This place is the paradise of fried Chicken. The menu warns you that Chicken will cease about about 7:15pm (at least it use to...call to find out) so make sure you get there early. It's an old place, quaint with locals who KNOW it's good. I pity the fool who is coming through for gas and doesn't stop to have a meal. It's like finding a Leprechaun's gold...it only comes once in a lifetime when riding the road of travels. ironically someone opened up another location within a gas station in Logan, Utah. The conglomerate gas station called Maverick bought the gas station and shut down the Krispy Krunchy Chicken...a mistake on their part....but it was Utah....so that about says everything. If you are out and about on the weekend, having a great stroll in your car, you better stop here and eat. its wonderful!!

I'm not familiar with this fast food chain but it seems like they were pretty similar to Zaxbys and Popeyes. We actually found this place a few days before going here when we stopped for gas on our way to Jackson Hole for the weekend. We laughed at the signs everywhere for the chicken because it didn't seem like a place where you could get decent fried chicken. However on our way home we were hungry!!! So we decided to stop and it was worth it. We had our dog with us so we didn't have time for a sit down place or else we would have tried the cafe inside.
