Hi Yelpers! I was looking to post a review on GasBuddy.com, couldn't see how to do it, and instead came to the right place where I post my reviews- Yelp! This Arco and the one on Woodruff & Alondra are my go-to gas stations whenever I'm in Bellflower. But I have to say that this location is my first choice because of their super-employee, Matt. Not sure exactly how long Matt has been working there, but he truly gives this place some personality. Yes, the lines can be long. Yes, there can be drivers who don't know which side of their vehicle to pull closer to the pump. And yes sometimes people, on their bikes, will solicit money from you while you're at the pump...but Matt and his friendly demeanor keep things moving, and keep peoples' attitudes from getting explosive. Matt engages with all the customers and recognizes the "regulars" with remarkable accuracy. In the last 6 months, I've filled up there at least once every 2 weeks. Each time, when Matt is working behind the counter or outside wiping down the pumps, he maintains a wonderful, upbeat attitude- and these days, it's hard to find that anywhere, let alone at a gas station. So bring your patience when you're ready to fill the tank. Kudo's to Matt for being an awesome employee and representing that Arco in the best light possible. I was very disappointed with my experience this morning. The card machines at the pumps were not working, so I had to go inside just to pay for gas. There was a very long line, which was especially frustrating because I was already running late. When I finally reached the cashier and mentioned the problem, she simply said, "Yeah, they don't work," and seemed completely unconcerned. Management needs to repair the machines and provide better customer service. Customers should not have to wait in a long line because the equipment is not being properly maintained. read more

The car wash never has any soap when I have washed my car here. I went in to get my money back, but the attendant did not speak English and did not want to listen to google translate. read more

Came here doors were closed while the employee was finishing up with a customer and then said to wait a minute to mop. Took about 10 mins and still didn't open the door it was like 10 people waiting we all just left. Very rude and no urgency to open to provide service. read more

Terrible service for customers!!!! Sunday at 2:30am, give the employee a personality and provide a bathroom like every Arco does for their customers. You pay for gas and no accommodations for your customers they are paying for a service along with your gas. read more

This location sells hot food, but refuses any access to the bathroom even if you are a paying customer money. That's just gross, the idea that they expect you to purchase their food and have no ability to even wash your hands before consuming it. Highly recommend you find someplace else to purchase gas read more

Gas here is super cheap. Cheaper than most in the area. The only real issue I have is there are sketchy people outside constantly. But that's just the area. It's a little difficult to get in and out sometimes because it's almost always busy. Just be sure to check the price you are paying for cash vs credit card. read more

EMPLOYEE SCAM!!! Do not go here. I pumped my gas today using my debit card, entered my pin and agreed to the .35 debit fee. After I pumped, I began to pull away and the attendant chased me down, she said I didn't pay for my gas. I told her that I had with my card, entered the pin, etc. She said "no trust me it didn't work. I put $60 cash from someone else onto your pump." I told her there's no way it accepted the cash because I entered my pin, but she kept persisting I come inside and pay again. I pulled out my phone and showed her my bank charge, she then made a face a turned around without saying a word. It's obvious she was trying to get me to pay twice, so she could credit the other pump, and keep the cash. Screw these unprofessional, no talent scam artists. read more

So I was at this am/pm late yesterday. 4:01 am to be exact. I was celebrating my friends birthday so I decided that i wasn't going to drive home so I actually made a pit stop here for a tooth brush. They were closed inside so I went to the window. The guy working there through the window asked me which one I wanted to purchase I pointed to the smaller one. He then came back to the window advised me how much and I pulled out my debit card. When I showed it to him he kept saying no. I said I'm going to pay with my card. And he kept noding his head no. I looked at him and said what. He goes no. I just ended up leaving. I didn't see why he couldn't take my card payment. If the person working their does not have the ability to take a card payment at this time of the hour their should be a sign outside the window that says cash only. read more

Only get gas here late at night if you feel like hassling the TRANSIENT PANHANDLERS that campout and hold conventions on the stations property 7 days a week !! It's crystal clear to see that the owner of this station doesn't care / want to address this escalating problem that's been going on for years. !! WARNING !! Ladies and to the elderly, do not go to this ARCO late at night by yourself !! If you need gas late use the ARCO on South and Woodruff or the ARCO on Del Amo and Bellflower, I've never seen transients around these two stations. read more

ZERO STARS MONEY IS MORE IMPORTANT HERE THAN COMPASSION & KINDNESS!!! HUMANITY IS LOST HERE!!! YES, I'm a bit of a drama queen but I literally waited a few days to write this review to cool off. So, your welcome... for sparing you from the behemoth of a review I drafted & replaced with this one ;) This is one of the popular places to fill up solely because of the competitive pricing! I even mentioned it in one of my tips for this exact location. I was definitely a fan and even recommended this place to a few of my friends looking to score @ the pump. All those nice feelings I had for this place had officially vanished a few days ago. The gist of the happenings: I took up a stall because I was calling my bank to see why the pump wasn't accepting my card. I found out that they were "fund checking" my momentarily-depleted account $100. While I was on the phone, there were a good amount of cars driving in & out. 10 minutes into being on hold the attendant or owner took the nozzle off & started giving me dirty looks. I tried to explain what was going on but wanted to finish my call. This started the worse gas experience I've had in my life. I was trying to explain the situation but he was very rude and did not want to understand what I was trying to tell him. Miscommunication yes, especially since English is not his native tongue. He made me feel extremely little and spoke to me as though I was uneducated even though it was his ignorance and blindness that was plaguing his rationale. It was extremely heated and many bystanders were there to defend me. By that time I was balling like a baby. Long story short, he was mad that I was taking up a stall, even though I was there to patronize them. All I had to do was go inside to give a dollar amount which could have been 10 bucks to 85. I just did not have 100 at the pump they were unethically checking for. It could have been a mistake that could be fixed and allow for more business, but that's all water under the bridge. Not fully understanding what I was saying, he explained that it was my card even though I go there ALL THE TIME!!! Who knew that innocently sitting at a stall on EMPTY with only 85 bucks in my account could cause such a scene and have a person be so upset with me. To make things worse, I couldn't even start the van to leave which escalated this situation tenfold. He fabricated that I was there for 30 minutes which was a little off since he came up to my door at only 10, the whole ordeal was about 30 and that was when I was able to get help to push my van out of the way to get jumped. Many moving parts and really, just so irritating. I am never coming back here again and will tell my friends, family, & followers to do the same!! read more

Lived around the corner from this place for a few years. Not to bad nice people worked there when I would come in back in the day. And I was on the look for a gas deal as every where you go nowadays want to do the .10cent per gallon thing with cards. So I drove to where I thought I could find a deal. read more

Cheapest gas in town Horrible drivers Nobody knows how to back into the pumps so they just sit there blocking everyone else. Very crowded. And nobody can seem to figure out that the people waiting on your side are the next ones to get a pump. read more

You have to stiff arm your way passed the bums outside just to enter. Once inside you cannot make any purchases with a credit card...as if this were the 90s?!? Other gas stations allow you to pay with a credit card and even your phone but not here in bass ackwards Arco. read more

Very small, older location. It's hard to get in and out of and the pumps are always full. Prices are cheap. But if I have time I drive to the other Arco on South and Woodruff. read more

Cheap prices. That's about all I can say about this place. Gets to damn crowded and the gas quality is trash. The older gentleman who works there is very professional and nice. Kudos to him for that. I suggest and recommend the Arco up the street on woodruff and alondra. WAY BETTER QUALITY GAS! Will last you longer! I tested that theory on all 3 of my cars. Proven fact! read more

This is a really odd am/pm. They always have so many loitering people and they are on the curbs and even in the store. There are two people that hang around the register all of the time, one is a tall, lanky guy who seems to have a crush on the morning cashier. Seem like nice enough people, even the loiterers but it just makes for an uncomfortable transaction. This, very poorly laid out store, is already cramped and crowded but with people just standing in the way it makes it 100 times worse. I have been here at least 50 times and the tall guy has been there every time, oddest part is I have never heard him say a word to the cashiers... like I said, nice enough people but just a bizarre and uncomfortable experience. (Also, a pet peeve of mine, the cashiers all reverse stack your change - dollars, slick receipt, then change... so pretty much every patron I see has to chase the change around the counter as it slides off of the receipt and goes bouncing away - I quickly remove my hand with bills so I can get my change placed in my hand where it won't slide out) I know that's kind of an ocd thing I got going on.. read more

RIP OFF`S!!! If you have used your debit card at this ARCO or the one on Downy and Flower check your statement ASAP! I have been double charged 5 times in the last 3 months. I can only imagine how many others are out there that this has happing to. To all the unsuspecting and trusting costumers whom may not always check their statement should. I suggest if you been to either one of these stations you go back and check. Don't leave it up to them to say "We double charged your card here`s you money back" because that`s not going to happen THIEVES! read more
